Disregard her texts
But don't disregard your fears
You're hurting
For good reason
you know that she will disappear
The ones you love the most
Are the ones who will always leave you
Abandon you when you're all alone
When you're holding onto the last beam of hope
Trust no one
It tells you
They aren't worthy of your love
So love no one and hide
It'll save you when they run
So shut your mind and close your eyes
Whisper sweet nothings while they thrive
Off somewhere
With someone else
Better people
You were nothing
of course there were always doubts
Fail to commit
Fail to get committed to
Fail to branch out
Fail to let others branch out to you
Fail a first impression
Fail to ever change
You can't change yourself once you've presented yourself in a certain way
Hugs are no good
Touching far less
Don't say "I love you" or "I miss you" or "I'm glad I have you" or you'll be too far gone
It shows weakness
It shows you're too deep in to get far
They all left you
Everyone you let in
So you learned to keep quiet
And keep all the thoughts in your head
But when you filter out fear of failure
You filter out any chance at success
No wonder they left you
You were too afraid to let them further in
