But I'm always there for you
It's not fair
it isn't fair
to let myself get walked over by you
When I cry I cry all alone
When you cry I let you call me on the phone

I deserve more
I deserve so much more than you ever gave me
Thank the lack of substance I viewed in your eyes
Than the winter harshness of your frostbiten words
The daggers you hid underneath your pillow in case I stepped too close
I deserve so much more than your vow of silence
Than your lashing out at my nerves
Than the flow of excuses when I want the leftovers of your summer warmth
I deserve more than "sorry" and "later" and placing my tears on hold
Than a back turned when I've fallen down
Than a social media frenzy where I'm not found
I deserve more than you
I deserve to no longer bear witness to your tainted words of "I miss you"
