When I leave and give up

I've never been good at staying

Like a vagabond I cross several paths

Some that lead to constant road blocks

Others filled with pavement of gold and ash

It's always the first ones that I hurt

And maybe it's because of the first one who hurt me

But I need to get over my excuses

I need to start taking responsibility

It's so easy to cower

It's so easy to tap out

For a girl who built herself on never giving up

Why am I always the one to give up on us?
