The wanting to be perfect
The yearing to feel whole
To be wanted
And loved
By every human soul
Staring at the mirror
The cracks easily stare you down
You want to look elsewhere
But you can't seem to move an inch
Instead you stare down
At all of your sins
The faults
The inaccuracy
The bad things
All negitive aspects of you
That bloated belly
Those weakling arms
No feet to be seen
Just a naked body
Filled with cuts and stings
You don't want this life
Not anymore
You overcame it once
Why not once more?
The thought of perfection continues to invade your mind
It soon becomes action if you leave it up to time
Your mouth is sewn shut
The thoughts can't escape
Only the bubbly ones
With yes and okays
The scale revists you
You're only a room away
Just seconds from turning into
A day to day
Activity
Perfection is closer than it seems
But always too far away
For me.
