BITTERSWEET PART 2 - PANZER AND DEMI

The Lycan Kingpin's Captive: A Baby For The Beast

Liam

After almost three weeks of being without her and the second I smelled her scent, everything fell

away. This woman is everything to me. I never realized just how much she actually does mean to me

until I went away.

I never want to fucking leave her side again.

I scoop her up into my arms and carry her back to her home. She lays her head against my chest,

her hot tears slipping down my skin, but I don't ask her why she’s crying...because I feel the same

fucking way.

Walking towards her ensuite bathroom, I regulate the water in the shower and put her down on the

tiled floor. She peers up at me with that innocent smile and I feel my heart pounding in my chest.

“It's good to know that my smile makes your heart rate pick up,” she says with a giggle. “I thought I

was the only one affected.”

I shake my head and pull her into my arms. “You've had me the first moment I cornered you in the

forest; I just didn’t realize how much I needed this at the time,” I say, before leaning down and

placing a kiss on her lips. “Fuck Demi, I never want to leave your side again.”

That gut-punch smile of hers is still there, but now she looks even more mischievous. “Well, my dear

mate, that mark on your neck is there for a reason, don't you think?”

"Hmm," I say, as I pull her into the shower with me. The hot spray hits our cold skin and when I hear

her moan, my cock twitches. “Gods, I will never tire of hearing you make that sound.”

“Liam!” she exclaims, a blush forming on her cheek, and I can do nothing but shrug. “You might just

have to give me a few minutes to recuperate after that, because that tree scratched me more than

you did.”

She turns around and I notice the red marks on her back. Feeling guilty for fucking her so hard

against a tree, I lean in close and place kisses all over her back.

Demi chuckles at this and makes a cross over her chest. “It's our little secret,” she says and lifts her

glass to her lips. “As long as you get something sweet to keep my silence.”

“Deal,” I say, and she gives me that gut-punch smile again.

It's been a glorious few weeks with her being mine. I never understood the allure of a mate bond

until I had one who claimed me as hers. Now I don’t ever want to know what it will feel like without

one.

She’s my morning, afternoon, and evening; I want it to always be like this.

"So... have something to tell you,” she says with a coy smile playing on her lips. “But please promise

me you won't freak out.”

I raise my eyebrow at her. “Telling me not to freak out is a surefire way to get me to freak out,” I say,

leaning back in my chair. “But sure, go ahead, beautiful.”

She still blushes when I call her that, and it looks as lovely as the first time she did it.

Reaching over the table, she takes my hand and looks into my eyes. “I know we didn't plan to have

anything happen, but I think we might have slipped up somewhere because...” she says, biting her

bottom lip. “I'm pregnant, Liam.”

Everything around me falls silent, and the only thing I see and hear is her. She looks at me

expectantly, and before I know what I'm doing, I leap to my feet and scoop her into my arms.

She squeals when I spin her around, our happiness and excitement intermingling through our

separate marks. I never thought about being a parent one day because I didn't want to bring any

children into this fucked up world.

In fact, I didn’t know I wanted kids until a few minutes ago before Demi said she was pregnant with

my child. Now, I can see everything I want with her. The future is as clear as day and I want to spend

every waking moment with her like this.

“I love you, Demi,” I admit, saying the words we've both been tiptoeing over. Then I take her face

gently in my hands and my voice shakes with emotion. “I love you so fucking much and I am so

sorry for not admitting this sooner. You make my world a better place just by being in it, and I

wouldn't want to spend the rest of my life with anyone else.”

Tears slip down her cheeks as I bare my soul to her, finally admitting what she does to me.

“I love you too, Liam,” she says in a trembling voice, and I pull her close so she can feel my heart

beating so close to hers.

I breathe out a sigh and close my eyes, envisioning my future with her, but as soon as I open them,

my heart fucking stops.

Behind us, Levi is standing across the way at another cafe with a smile on his face as he leans

against a tree with his arms crossed over his chest.

He's grown out his hair, and it's hanging over his shoulders and he's wearing a fitted suit. His eyes

flicker to a younger woman getting up from a table and walking over to him. When she sees him,

she rolls her eyes as if he's an annoyance and he pushes away from the tree to follow her while she

protests.

Then he nods his head at me before turning around and walking away.

Everything in me tells me to run after him, but I don’t know why he’s here or under what

circumstances, it looks like he’s come to be a bodyguard of some sort. So I can do nothing but wish

him well in my heart and hope I'll see him someday again.
