Chapter 25

Jace's POV

It's been a hectic few months what with Skylar's pregnancy progressing

and us coming up to our baby girl coming into this world. We have also

been experiencing increasing rogue attacks and that stupid Vance

bastard has been sending love notes and threats at a steady pace

taunting and threatening us. Everyone's been on edge but I was finally

able to relax a little bit and have some alone time with Sky so we have a

nice quiet dinner and then when we were putting our dishes into the

dishwasher she turned to me and said something that made me very so

happy and excited and a little scared

"I think my water just broke" She says to me with fear and excitement in

her eyes. The next thing I know everything went by in a blink of an eye.

Me getting her and the baby’s things and then the trip to the pack

hospital. My helping Skylar through her labor as best as I can as she

squeezed the living daylights out of my hand. I thought she was going

to break it with how much force she was using. The next thing I know I

hear crying and see my beautiful baby girl. She was so pretty with her

black and blonde hair, beautiful facial features and her gorgeous light

blue eyes. Her hair was a mixture of mine and her mothers before she

shifted, with Skylar's facial features and my light blue eyes.

Skylar fell asleep while I was holding our daughter. I was sitting there

for a couple hours when Lucas, Jasper, Lucy, Amber, and Alex all came

into the room wanting to see the little one. They loved her form the

moment they laid their eyes on her. I ordered everyone some food

seeing as no one has eaten anything today plus I knew Skylar would be

hungry from all the energy she expelled giving birth to our amazing

little girl. As I was walking in with the food I noticed Skylar awake

staring at everyone as they took turns holding and arguing over our

daughter which made me smile. I give Skylar her food and everyone

else their as I take my daughter back to hold while everyone else eats.

As everyone ate they all chit chatted about different things until they

finally wanted to know what we had finally decided to name our

daughter. I look over to Skylar and she nods her head at me to tell

them finally.

"Well me and Sky finally decided on a name a couple weeks ago. So

without further ado I would like to present to you" I stop making it

dramatic and to make everyone stew a little longer with anticipation to

what I was going to say. I could hear my mate giggling at me for being

so dramatic about just telling them her name.

"Tell us already” they all exclaim at once making me and Skylar laugh

"Okay okay we decided to name her Lilith Ophelia Miller. You can call

her Lilith or Lily for short.” I finally tell them

"Awwwwwe" the girls say in unison smiling with adoration and love at

her.

"It suits her" Jasper says while Alex and Lucas nodded their agreements.

I'm sitting in my office waiting for Skylar to be discharged when a pale

faced and grim looking Lucas came walking into my office with a piece

of paper. I look up at him and see how pale he looks and just watch as

he comes in and sits in one of the chairs in front of my desk before

handing the piece of paper over to me with mechanical movements.

"What is that?" I ask him curiously

" found it on the front door after I came back from my run and came

straight here after seeing what it said.” He says paling even more as he

hands me the paper.

I take the piece of paper from him and when I read what it says I sit

frozen to the spot reading the few words over and over again in my

mind.

I AM COMING FOR YOU SKYLAR'

As I glared at the words written on the paper my vision started to blur

as I started to see red. I was livid that this psychopath was trying to take

my mate. I would never ever let anyone have her she was mine, she was

also the mother of my child.

"Did you find anything out about who this Vance person is?" I ask my

beta

"No nothing has come up yet he has hidden his existence very well" he

said looking at the floor

“Alright let me know if you hear anything about him even the littlest

thing could help us” I tell him. As we were sitting there Skylar came into

my office and sat in my lap as she put the monitor down. I wrapped my

arms around her and nuzzled my face into her neck and inhaled her

scent to calm myself down. Once I was calm I dismissed Lucas and he

left to try and find out anything about this Vance person. I sit with Sky

on my lap for a little while longer before I pull away slightly and grab

her and sit her on my desk in front of me so I could look at her. I stared

at her beautiful face for a little while before I opened my mouth and

spoke.

"There was another note found pinned to our front door" I say to her.

"W-what d-did i-it s-ssay?" She asks stuttering scared. I hand her the

note and watch as she grabs it with shaking hands. As she reads it her

eyes go wide and she starts shaking in fear of what is to come.

"Why is this happening to us?" She says as she starts to sob as tears

pour down her cheeks.

"Hey, hey it's going to be okay I will not let anything happen to you or

to Lilith. I will kill this bastard before he can even come close to you." I

say to her trying as I wrap her in a tight hug, trying to comfort her as

she sobs into my chest. We sit like this for a little while before Lilith

starts to cry and Sky leaves to go and attend to out baby girl, I on the

other hand have to come up with a plan to keep Sky and Lily safe from

this threat. I mind link Jasper and Alex to see if they got a hold of the

witch that they knew who did work for us in the past.

“Jasper, Alex can you both come to my office please’ I link them

'On our way Alpha’ They say back to me. After a few minutes they come

in and I tell them about the new note and ask them if they heard back

from Ava the witch.

"Has you heard anything back from Ava?" I ask them. They look at each

other and then down at the floor before one of them answers back.

"No we haven't heard anything from her" Jasper said

"When we went to her house to see if she was there but someone got

there before us and killed her" Alex finished

"Damn, I'm sorry guys I knew she was your friend and she did a lot for

the pack” I say back to them before dismissing them. I sat there for a

little while longer thinking of something, anything I could do to protect

my family and my pack from this monster. After coming up with

basically nothing I get up and go to Lilith's room and I see Skylar sitting

in the rocking chair staring out the window as she rocks our baby back

and forth while she hums to her as she sleeps. I stand in the doorway

admiring the two loves of my life and I think about how I would do

anything for them.
