Chapter 28

Jace's POV

All hell breaks out all across my borders as I am going from one place

to another helping out my pack members when I all of a sudden get a

gut wrenching feeling that something is severely wrong. I start to head

back to the pack house instantly when I Skylar mind links me and my

heart breaks.

I'm so sorry baby please take care of Lilith for me and tell her I love

her. I love you so much baby and promise me you will look for me. I

don't want to do this but it's the only way for me to save you so please

promise me you will find me and I will find a way to make sure I make it

back to you. I 'm sorry and I love you so, so, so much my one and only

love' Skylar says before blocking the link as to not get caught.

After hearing that from my mate I push myself to go faster and faster to

get there and save her. I try to mind link Jasper, Alex, Amber or Lucy

but none of them are answering me back. As soon as I get to the tree

line just behind the house I shift back and throw on some shorts I had

put there before I ran into the house. As soon as I set foot in the house

I found Jasper and Alex both starting to come too on the floor of the

living room and then I hear groaning from upstairs and as I rush up the

stairs I see Amber on the floor still passed out and beaten up pretty

bad. I run for Lilith’s room and I find her sleeping in her crib safe and

sound which makes me relieved a little bit and then I see Lucy on the

floor groaning as she gets up clearly in pain with most likely a couple

broken ribs and naked. I look away as she leaves the room and once I

made sure that Lilith was going to be fine I grab the monitor and close

the door as I head down stairs to find out what the fuck happened.

As soon as I get to the living room I find everyone there sitting on the

couch looking very upset, angry and disappointed in themselves for not

doing a better job of protecting their Luna. As I look at them my anger

dims a little as they did their best trying to keep Skylar and my little girl

safe and at least Lily was safe with me and for now so was Skylar as I

would feel it if she was hurt.

"What the fuck happened here?" I ask them through gritted teeth

"Alex and I were making sure all the doors and windows were locked

and when we were done we met up here before going to Lilith’s room

to check on the girls when 3 men broke the front door down

demanding us to tell them where Skylar was." Jasper said as he balled

his hands into fists at his side.

"We wouldn't tell them and that's when 2 of the men attacked us while

the third guy went looking for her. As we were fighting they knocked

out Jasper and when I went to help him they ganged up on me and

knocked me out next." Alex says with tears in his eyes along with a lot

of anger

I stand there just listening to all of them tell me what happened before

I even start to think about any sort of plan to save my mate.

"I went with Skylar and Lucy to Lily's room but I left them there and

made sure they locked the door after me as I went to my room to grab

my knives just in case and on my way back I heard the twins fighting

and then I saw one of the guys coming up the stairs and I tried to stop

him but he overpowered me and threw me into the wall to hard I

blacked out instantly.” Amber told me while she rubbed her throat and

then the back of her head.

"While Skylar and I were waiting for Amber or the twins to come back

we heard someone knock on the door. They knew we were in there so I

asked who it was and they never said anything just banged on the door

until it broke apart and then a very huge man walked in looking around

the room before his gaze landed on Skylar and he grinned before

turning his head and calling out that he found her. The next thing we

know there are 2 more equally huge men walking into the room. As

Skylar held and protected Lilith I got angry and shifted and tried to

attack them but the other 2 guys both stopped me and pinned me

before the first guy grabbed my by the scruff of my neck and slammed

me into the floor before throwing me into the far wall where you found

me. I couldn't move and pretended to be out but I was awake for a little

bit and I heard them say that if Skylar didn’t go with them willingly they

were going to take Lilith instead and insinuated that she probably

would die and so she put Lilith down in her crib and the last thing I

remember was hearing her whisper to Lilith that she loved her and

would see her again before everything went black before I came too

and saw you." Lucy recalls as she winces with every breath she takes.

I stood there thinking about everything that had happened and about

what Skylar had said to me. I promise I will find her even if it costs me

my life I will not abandon her when she needs me the most. Exhausted I

collapse into one of the recliners in the living room and sit forward with

my head in my hands as my elbows rest on my knees as I think about

what I'm going to do about a plan to save my mate from her kidnapper.

Before I did anything I was going to make dame fucking sure that my

daughter was safe no matter, especially if something were to happen to

me and Sky during her rescue but that's worst case possible.

"First things first we are going to take care of our injured as well as

fortify this house so that nothing like this ever happens again. We will

need to contact alpha's we have allegiances with to see if they can send

us some help with the fortification and with the plans to save Skylar

and take down the bastard that has her once and for all." I say to

everyone in a cold clipped voice. They all nod as I mind link the pack

doctor to come and help care for the injured wolves while I go and care

for my daughter as I start working on my plans for fortifying the pack

house before I start calling the pack alphas I have formed allegiances

with because I know if I call them for help without a sure fire plan in

place it will take even more convincing but if I have some sort of plan

before I contact them then it will help with getting them to agree to

coming here to help my pack out.
