Chapter 41

Jace's POV

Once we all met at the main pack house we all piled into vehicles and

headed out towards the Blackwood Pack to take it down once and for

all and to also get my mate back. We were about an hour away when

we stopped and got out to shift into our wolves so we could get on the

territory unnoticed.

Once we were in the packs territory we split off into two groups the

smaller group went and handled the patrolling wolves before meeting

us at the southern part of their borders where the tunnel that Jason's

spy was supposed to meet us at. Once we got there we shifted back

and put the shorts that we had brought with us on before we waited for

the person to come and bring us into the mansion. I hated having to

wait here when all I wanted to do was charge inside, find my precious

mate and kill the alpha for taking her in the first place but I knew if I did

that then Skylar could get hurt or me for that matter and I wasn't going

to gamble with my mates life.

We stood their in the shadows waiting for at least an hour when finally I

heard someone walking hurriedly down the tunnel towards us as I got

into a fighting stance I calmed when I seen it was a woman. She smiled

at Alpha Jason before she ran and threw herself into his beta's arms

and kissed him with so much passion it made my heart start to ache for

my mate.

"I hate to interrupt this little love fest but we have people to kill and

rescue. Now miss can you help us finish this mission?" I ask her as I was

getting impatient and wanted to get this over and done with.

"Yes we can and I am pleased to finally meet you Alpha Jace I have

heard so much about you from your mate. First I will help you get into

the mansion but be warned there are guards all over the place and

once you are in I will tell you where to go to finish off Alpha Vance

while I go and rescue Skylar because she is being held in a different

part of the mansion and so once I have her I will bring her to you I

promise. Oh and my name's Candy by the way so you don't have to

keep calling me miss.” She replies to me smiling

as she heads in the different direction to get my mate. I wanted to go

with her so badly but I knew she would have a better success at getting

Sky out without me. So we made our way through the mansion killing

everyone we came in contact with not taking any chances that if we let

them go they would alert the bastard of our presence. We came across

some big wooden double door thinking it might be his office as we

entered we noticed it was a very grand dinning room with a very nicely

crafted wooden table in the middle of it with matching chairs. We go

through the doors on the other side and find another hallway as we

slowly make our way down the hallway we can hear voices coming from

the room at the end of the hall.

As we approach the room the voices get louder and we can make out

what they are talking about.

"How the fuck did my best warriors lose track of and let a little girl get

away with the Alpha's daughter” I hear Vance yell at someone

"We are sorry alpha they were very prepared for us to attack them

again and the informant we had never told us about any of it as I don't

think he knew about it. We killed 2 of them but when we were going

after the third one thinking he would lead us to the blonde girl who

had the baby but we were wrong. He lead us away from the pack house

so that she could escape and get away and hide somewhere with her,

as we tried to track her down but we couldn't find her as she knew how

to cover their scents well." I hear someone else say as I could pick up

on the fear in his voice.

"You are both fucking useless to me since you have failed me for the

last fucking time. I guess if I can't steal their daughter I'm just going to

have impregnate my little play toy I have locked up and force her to

give me an heir instead of me raising and making their daughter love

me as she grew before she gave me an heir but since those plans are

out the window I no longer need you disappointments around.” Vance

said before I heard two snapping sounds as I figured he broke their

necks before I heard the thuds of their dead bodies hit the floor.

I am raging mad at everything I had just heard him say so as soon as I

heard the 2 dead bodies hit the floor I stormed into the room with

everyone right on my heels. We all attacked him and made sure he was

severely injured and couldn't get away easily. Once he was subdued

everyone backed off and left me and my gamma to finish him off as

they went and finished off anyone else left in the mansion who wasn't a

prisoner.

As soon as every one but my gamma left the office I stared down at the

bastard sitting on the floor grinning and laughing like a fucking mad

man. I looked at Dalton and he was as bewildered as I was at the

response he was giving off knowing very well he was going to die.

"I wouldn't be laughing if I were you considering you won't be living

through the next few hours." I spat at him in anger

I had Dalton stand watch just in case anyone got past the others and

came to warn their Alpha about intruders being in the mansion. The

cocky ass bastard kept laughing maniacally like someone had just made

a joke.

"What the fuck’s so funny you bastard?" I ask through my clenched jaw

"Nothing I am going to tell you. You will just have to wait and see

what's coming for you and your family" he taunts before he bites his

own tongue off and spits it out at me knowing very well that now no

matter what I do to him he won't be able to tell me anything about

what he put into motion.

"That's fine I would have loved to torture and interrogate you some

more but if you don't wanna talk then that's fine I'll just end your

miserable life then.” and with that said I brought out my claws and

slashed at his chest before ramming my hand into his chest cavity as I

gripped his beating heart and ripped out of him and dropped it on the

floor in front of him as I watched his lifeless body slump over to the

floor.

“Warriors interrogate any wolf you find and see if anyone knows of any

plans that Vance had in place in case of his death and tell that to any

other wolves that are with us and tell them to spread the word" I link

my pack mates as I get a resounding amount of “Yes Alphas’ from them

back.

I turned to Dalton before I spoke, "He has something planned for me

and my family and I want to know what it is. Dalton I want you to help

me pack up this office and I don't want anything left behind so that we

can take it back to the Blue Willow Pack and go through it to find

anything about what his plans are that are now set into motion.” I tell

him he nods his head and starts with going to find some boxes or

anything we can use to pack up everything in here so we can go

through it later. I just hope that what he was saying was a bluff but

something in my gut has me figuring that it wasn't just the talk of a

dyeing man considering he bit off his own tongue. We pack up

everything thing in the office in record time we even had to bust open

the desk to find any locked and hidden compartments to make sure we

had everything. We even went through every book on the bookshelf

leaving literally nothing upturned or broken or went through we

weren't taken any chances at leaving anything behind I even searched

his dead body and took his phone to look through it to see where it

lead to now all we have to do is find my mate and get out of this god

forsaken place.
