Epilogue

Skylar's POV

It's only been a few months since Lilith's death when we got the news

that Lucy and Tate's twins were born. Jace and I went to go and visit

them as soon as we got the news since they came right away when we

told them about Lilith so it was only fair. Once we got there we visited

with them and stayed for a couple days just to get away for a little bit.

As soon as Lucy and Tate finally agreed on their names and told us I

was in awe since they named their daughter and son after our dear

departed family members. They named their daughter Amber Lily

Erickson and their son was named Alexander Jason Erickson making me

cry tears of joy knowing that their memories were being kept alive

through their adorable little bundles of joys.

Once we got back from our visit at the Mystic Pack we saw that Jasper

had been going above and beyond for the pack and doing a very good

job at being beta but I knew he would make a very good Alpha. So as

soon as we were alone I decided that I would talk to Jace about it since

we no longer had a child and it was too soon for us to even think about

having another child.

"Jace my love what do you think about making Jasper the next Alpha

since we don't have an heir anymore" I ask/state sadly

"Huh you know I was thinking the same thing lately. I just didn't know

how to bring it up to you or how you would feel about it.” Jace said

lovingly at me making me feel better about the decision.

"That's sweet of you and I guess great minds really do think alike my

lovely” I tell him as I kiss him gently as I wrap my arms around his neck

as he wraps his around my waist deepening our kiss. We broke away

panting as we filled our lungs with air as we stared lovingly at each

other as we got ready and went to bed early since we were going to

have a long day tomorrow talking to Jasper about being the new Alpha

of the Night Shade Pack.

Jace's POV

Things have been hard lately since the death of our daughter Lilith but

it was nice visiting some friends and meeting their newborn twins. It

was really great of them to name them after Amber, Lilith, and Alex to

help keep their memories alive and in all of our hearts. Now it was the

time for us to talk to Jasper and see how he feels about becoming the

new Alpha since Skylar and I don't have an heir and it's too soon for us

to even talk or think about having another baby of our own.

“Jasper can you meet Jace and I in his office we would like to talk to you

about something important’ Skylar mind links him

I'll be there right away Luna’ Jasper responds

As Sky and I were sitting in the office waiting it didn't take long before

we heard his hesitant footsteps coming closer. I heard him knock as Sky

told him to come in, once he was inside he shut the door behind him

and sat in a chair in front of my desk looking very nervous about what

we could possibly have to talk to him about. We let him sit and fidget

for a little longer before Skylar couldn't take it anymore and started

giggling which made me laugh making Jasper even more nervous and

confused which only made it funnier.

"Jasper relax it's nothing bad so don't worry and relax a little" Skylar

giggled out

"Okay Luna, I'll try to now Alpha and Luna what do you have to talk to

me about?" Jasper chuckled nervously before asking.

"Skylar and I were talking and since we don't have an heir for when the

time comes to pass the pack onto him/her we have decided to pick

someone instead. Since neither of us are ready to have another child

anytime soon we decided to give the pack over to someone we trusted

and who has proved themselves to us and the pack.” I say

"Jasper since you have done so much for us and for this pack like

almost giving your life for it. We Luna Skylar and Alpha Jace of the

Night Shade Pack have decided to ask you Jasper Underwood former

Gamma turned Beta if you would like to become the next Alpha.” Skylar

responded quickly.

I watched as Jasper sat there stunned at what we had said to him. I

knew he was thinking things over and he understood how difficult this

was for us to make especially since it's only been a few months since

Lilith had died. I believe that Skylar and I need some time away from

the pack to find ourselves again since we both lost ourselves especially

Skylar.

"Alpha, Luna I would be honored to become the next alpha of our

beloved pack" Jasper replied making me and Skylar very happy

knowing we made the right decision.

"That's wonderful news Alpha Jasper" Skylar giggled out making

everyone chuckle and smile.

A week later we had the ceremony announcing and making Jasper the

next Alpha of the pack and surprising we had no negative feedback

about the choice we made. We both know that Jasper is going to make

an excellent Alpha and he's going to bring new views and things to

make the pack better. Since Jasper was officially the Alpha he decided

to move into the main pack house and as for Skylar and I we decided to

do some travelling to get in tune with ourselves since Lilith's death

broke us equally. It was great being Alpha but now it's time for me and

my mate to spend some great quality time alone with each other and

just be mates and not have all the pressures of being Alpha and Luna

anymore.

Jasper's POV

My life has changed a lot since my former Alpha found his mate our

former Luna. Our whole pack loved and adored them and they were

great leaders. I have become the current Alpha of the pack making

changes and making life for my pack mates better and a little bit easier.

I haven't found my mate yet but I have not given up hope and I make it

my mission to find her eventually no matter how long it takes me.

The night I became the Alpha was scary and yet exhilarating and I took

it all without hesitation and with the support and love of my pack as

well. I moved my things into the main pack house but when I want to

get away and just have some quiet and time to think to myself I go to

Jace and Skylar's house where they said I was always welcome to go

when I wanted to. I have always looked up to them as family since they

are the only ones I have left since my brother was killed in an attack to

get the former Alpha and Luna's child. I almost died that night but

being a wolf is what happened to keep me alive but barely. I was never

the same since that night but I try not to let others see me like that.

It has been 3 years since that night and not a day goes by that I don't

think about my brother and the others who had died that night. I was

sitting in the office at Jace and Skylar's house to get some quiet as I

was getting things ready for the upcoming ball we were hosting for

wolves to come from all over and mingle and hopefully find their mates

at. We haven't hosted one in a long time so I thought it was time to do

it for the enjoyment of the pack and to hopefully find my mate as well.

It was finally the night of the ball and I was dressed in a black suit with

a light blue shirt and a black tie as I entered the room I spotted Jace

and Lucy talking with Alpha Derek of the Mystic Pack. Then I saw Lucy

and her mate Tate hanging out at the bar and then as I was walking

towards them to greet them and to see how the twins Amber and

Alexander were doing when the most breathtaking smell hit me like a

freight train.

It smelled like pineapple and oranges with a hint of mint mixed in, it

was heavenly as I followed it outside. Once I was outside I kept

following the scent and as I was heading towards the garden I found it

getting stronger as it lead me to the cherry blossom tree in the middle.

Once I got there I noticed the most beautiful girl standing by the tree

looking down at Lilith's grave with sad eyes. She was very tall around 6

feet and she was slender but had muscle and curves in all the right

places. She had her medium purple hair that hung loose down her back

and as she turned I could see she had the most gorgeous emerald

green eyes. Once she turned to look at me as she finally noticed my

presence, I heard her gasp as our eyes locked in on each other as we

both breathed out “Mate’ at the same time before I walked over to her

closing the gap and hugging her to me.

I wrapped her in my embrace and kissed her passionately making her

moan into my mouth. After pulling away to catch our breath I decided

to finally ask her what her name was since I didn't think to ask before

kissing her.

"What's your name my lovely mate?" I asked her

"It's Isabelle but people call me Izzy or Belle" she said blushing

"Isabelle, mmmm I love it my love" I told her making her blush even

more. We walked back to the ball and I spent the night introducing her

to everyone before we retired for the night. Once back to my room we

didn't was anytime mating or marking each other as we both had been

waiting so long for this that we didn't want to waste any more time.

Everything was great life was great once I found my Baby Belle. Once

we marked and mated we set up the ceremony for introducing her as

Luna since a lot of the pack members already loved her since she was

such a sweet heart and was a natural born Luna. I couldn't be happier

with my mate and our little family that kept growing bigger and bigger

life at the Night Shade Pack was perfect and we couldn't be any

happier.
