"Where have you been?" Arielle asked as Caroline walked through the front door.
The blonde was startled by her sister and dropped her shoes she had in had, "Gosh, you scared me!"
"Yeah, I could tell." the red head answered as Caroline picked up her shoes, "But that didn't answer my question.
"I spent the night at Marcus-"
"Lie." she immediately cut off, "I texted Rebekah and she said you weren't there."
Caroline sighed and set her shoes down next to the stairs, "Okay, but you can't tell anyone."
Arielle looked at her confused, "Who would I tell?"
"I mean it, Ari. You can't tell Elijah, or Bekah, or Marcus, or anyone." she said. Arielle nodded, "I was at a motel."
Arielle looked at her with disappointment, "Care, that doesn't tell me anything." she said, "Who were you with? Why were you there?"
Caroline shook her head and walked to the kitchen, "Nope." she denied quickly, "I can't."
Arielle followed after her with a smile, "Ohh, this was like a 'one night stand' type of thing." she deduced, "Is that why you're not telling me?"
"It wasn't that." she denied quickly, "It was nothing like that."
"Oh, it totally was." she denied excitedly, "That's exactly why you aren't telling me."
Caroline looked at her with guilt in her eyes, "I'm a horrible friend." she said, covering her face with her hands, "I can't believe I just did that."
Arielle looked at her confused, "Care, what?"Â The blonde mumbling something, that even with supernatural hearing, Arielle didn't understand, "I'm sorry, could you speak up?"
"I was with Stefan." she whispered guiltily, fiddling with her hands.
Arielle was in complete shock, "With who?"
"I know, I know!" she groaned, "I can't believe I did that to Elena."
Arielle scoffed, "Look, I don't think you really did anything wrong." she said, "Elena and Stefan are definitely not together at the moment, so you didn't really do anything."
"But that was still her ex."
The wolf sighed, "Weren't you the one calling me to gush about Stefan on the first day of junior year?" she asked pointedly, "And then called to tell me Elena stole him from you?"
"Well, yeah." she confirmed, "But it's not the same, Ari." she said, "Me and Stefan didn't have history before they got together, but Elena and Stefan had history, and I knew that before I.." she trailed off shyly.
"Fucked him?" she finished making Caroline nod, "Well, Elena's life was already shit before Stefan came into it, has it gotten any better?" she asked rhetorically, "Not really. But hey, bad history is still history."
"It wasn't all bad." Caroline defended, "They were in love; they both had deep feelings for each other."
"Not deep enough for her to not grow feelings for his brother." she scoffed.
"Arielle!" she scolded, causing the girl to shrug, "I don't know how I can face her after this."
Her sister walked up to her and gave her a hug, "Just talk with Stefan, come to an agreement of mentioning this or not, and then move on." she recommended, "You will literally live forever, don't waste that time pining over this."
Caroline took in her words and thought about them before coming to another realization, "Oh, fuck!"
"What?" Arielle questioned.
"Tyler."

Caroline opened the door to see Elijah there, "Hi." Elijah smiled politely at her as she opened the door and held it open for him, but he just stood there awkwardly, "Do you not want to come in?"
The original cleared his throat, "I haven't been invited in, Caroline."
"Oh, um, hold on." she turned back and yelled for her sister to come downstairs, "She might take some time."
"I'm aware." he muttered, fully knowing the girl hated being called.
"Yes?" she asked annoyed as she came downstairs, but then saw Elijah, "What are you doing here?"
"Will you invite me in?"
The girl nodded and invited him in, "So, what are you doing here?" she asked as he walked in.
"Elena lied to me." he said as they made their way into the living room, "My mother used her blood to link my siblings and I together, and now she plans to kill us."
"I'm sorry, what!?" Arielle exclaimed, "Where is she?"
"She's with Rebekah and Marcus." he told her, "Rebekah knows to kill her if anything happens to us." he then to Caroline, who had different emotions on her face, "I apologize, Caroline, I know that she is your friend."
Caroline nodded at him and gave him a polite smile, "So what's your plan?" Arielle asked.
Elijah smiled at her, "Are you offering to help?"
"Only if I like the plan." she said with a smile.

"Caroline? What are you doing here?" Stefan asked as he walked towards his living room.
The blonde smiled sheepishly at him and signaled for him to look towards the right; he saw Arielle and Elijah sitting on the couch with Damon sitting across from them.
"Hello, Stefan." Elijah greeted without looking at him.
"He has Elena." Damon informed him, looking at Elijah with a scowl.
"Actually, she's with Rebekah." Arielle corrected.
"And as you can imagine, my sister's just dying to tear her throat out." Elijah added.
Stefan looked over at Caroline worriedly, "What they're saying is, if you want to save Elena's life, you need to help Elijah kill his mother." the blonde said.
"I'm a little embarrassed to admit," Damon began, "but when it comes to killing thousand-year-old resurrected witches, I'm a little rusty."
"Yes, unfortunately even when killed, my mother doesn't seem to want to stay dead." he said, a bit annoyed, "Not with the spirits of nature on her side."
Stefan held a confused face, "So what are we supposed to do?"
Elijah looked over at Arielle, who smiled, "The witches that released Esther, the Bennett's, she's drawing power from their bloodline." she explained, "That line needs to be broken."
"Broken?" he repeated confused.
"Yeah, she means...." he made a sign to him saying that they have to kill them.
"You want us to kill them?" he asked her surprised, he looked back at Caroline, "Are you okay with this?"
"Oh, but you could just turn one of them into a vampire." Arielle suggested, "No one dies then."
Elijah laughed a bit before saying, "And I'd do it myself, but I've absolutely no idea where they are." he said, "Besides, seeing me, they'd immediately know my intent. They won't expect to be harmed by the likes of you." he explained to them, standing up and getting his coat, "In any case, you have until 6 minutes after nine to find them."
"Oh, how super-specific of you." Damon remarked sarcastically.
"By 9:07, the moon'll be full. My mother will have the power to kill me and my family." he explained, "If you do not stop her before then, Rebekah will kill Elena. And I'm certain Arielle will give you all bites to remember." the girl smiled at Damon, "So we all have our timeline. I suggest you get started."
He put on his coat and started walking out as he said, "They'll stay with you to ensure you don't mess this up."

The Salvatore's and the Forbes stood outside the Grill, the girls waiting for the brothers to tell them their plan.
"So what's the plan?" Arielle asked, "Or are we just going to follow you around like lost puppies?"
Damon sighed and looked at her, "Klaus and his other brother are in there, you go in there and distract Klaus."
"Why?" Caroline asked.
"Don't you worry, Care bear." he waved off, "If all goes well, then we won't kill anyone tonight." he signaled his brother, "Go on."
Stefan sighed and shook his head, "I hope this works." he looked over at the Forbes, "Let's go."
The three walked away from Damon and towards the Grill. Once they were out of Damon's ear shot. Arielle looked towards the two blondes and laughed, there was clearly some tension between the two and it wasn't like they were trying to hide it.
"Uh, you okay?" Stefan asked concerned.
The girl composed herself and nodded, "I'm just going to, uhm, walk ahead." she started walking a bit faster to get ahead of them, leaving Stefan confused.
"She knows." Caroline mumbled and Stefan sighed, "I probably shouldn't have told her, but she did tell me she wouldn't tell anyone."
"Okay, um, we should talk about this because obviously something changed between us." he said.
"Yeah." she agreed.
Arielle smiled as they finally made it to the entrance of the Grill, "So what's the plan again?"
"We're gonna get a table and then you're going to leave to wherever Klaus is and ask him to talk."
Arielle nodded, "Easy enough." Stefan opened the door and let the two sisters walk in before walking in himself.
Caroline nudged her sister and signaled towards the bar, where Klaus and Kol were. The girl went to walk towards them but was held back by Stefan, "Not yet." he whispered. She nodded and followed him towards a table.
"I remember her." Kol said to his brother, "Isn't that Elijah's little friend?"
"Say another word, and I'll tear out your liver." Klaus warned him as he watched Arielle sit down across Stefan and next to Caroline.
"Looks like I've struck a nerve." Kol said with a laugh, "To bad she doesn't seem to like you."
Klaus downed his drink, "I'll take that as a challenge." he got up and walked towards them.
"Oh God, kill me now." Arielle said as she watched Klaus walk towards them.
"Arielle, mind if we talk?"
Stefan kicked her under the table causing her to groan in pain, "Ouch!" she stuck up her middle finger at him and looked up at Klaus, "Sure." she got up and pretended to limp as she walked away.
"She's being dramatic, isn't she?" Stefan questioned.
"Yeah, she's fine." Caroline assured him.
Stefan laughed and then looked towards Caroline, "I'm sorry." he said, "For putting you in such a bad situation. I know you and Elena are friends, and I knew that before last night, and I should've taken it into consideration." he explained seeing her confused face, "And I'm not in any way trying to say that I regret last night." he added quickly.
"Well, I appreciate the apology." she started, "I know that you and Elena are going through a rough patch, but I'm sure you'll work it out." she said nervously, "Uh, and I don't think that we should mention anything to anyone else."
Stefan nodded understanding, "I don't want this to change anything between us."
"Why would it?" she asked nervously, "We're friends, really good friend." she laughed nervously, "You and Elena will move past your problems and so will me and Tyler."
"Right." Stefan muttered.

Klaus and Arielle walked out of the Grill and onto the street, "What did you want to talk about?" Arielle asked as they sat on a bench.
Klaus paused and thought about it for a moment and then realized he didn't actually have anything to talk to her about, "Well, I realized I know oh so much about you, but you know num about me." he lied.
Arielle looked at him confused, "What? I think I know plenty about you." she said, knowing small things Elijah told her.
"Hmm." he hummed and looked up at the moon, "Did you know that I like you?"
Arielle's jaw dropped in shock, but she felt her heart skip a beat when he said that, "Um.."
Klaus laughed a bit, "You're nervous."
"I, um, I don't know what to say to that." she said, while he continued to look at the moon.
"Oh, there's no right or wrong answer here." he said, "But, take a chance." he said, finally looking at her, "Get to know me." he said, "I dare you."
The girl cleared her throat, "Okay, but just so we're perfectly clear," she began, "I'm too smart to be seduced by you."
Klaus shrugged, "Well, that's why I like you."
Arielle went to say something but stopped when Klaus grabbed his chest and groaned in discomfort, "Wow. You okay?" she asked.
Klaus looked at her, "What did you three do?"
Arielle was confused, "What? Nothing."
Klaus stood up and glared at her, "Arielle, don't lie to me." he said, "What did you three do?" he asked again.
"I already told you." she scoffed, getting up, "Nothing."
He looked back at the Grill and realized, "Kol." he grabbed Arielle and sped them to the back of the Grill.
Klaus arrived and saw Kols daggered body being dragged by Damon, and Stefan and Caroline watching. He quickly rushed to Damon and threw him aside and removed the dagger from his brother.
Damon got up and went to attack him, but Klaus was faster and pinned him against the wall, "I should have killed you months ago." Klaus raged.
Stefan went to step in, but was held back by Caroline, "Don't." she advised as Arielle went to their side.
"Do it." Damon dared, "That's not gonna stop Esther from killing you."
Klaus pinned him against the wall harder, "What did you just say about my mother?"
"You didn't know I was friends with your mummy?" he taunted making Stefan shake his head disapprovingly, "Yeah, we have a lot in common. She hates you as much as I do."
Klaus snarled at his words and went to bite him but was stopped by Elijah's voice, "Leave him!" the original ordered, "We still need him, Niklaus."
Klaus looked towards his older brother angrily, "What did mother do?" he asked him, "What did she do, Elijah?" he yelled at his silence.
His brother ignored him, pulled out his phone, and then looked at Damon, "You tell me where the witches are or I'll have my sister kill Elena right now." he threatened.
Damon looked over at the towns clock tower and then back at Elijah, "You told me we had until after nine." he exclaimed.
Elijah smiled threateningly, "I'm sure Rebekah'd be more than happy to start her work early."
"They're at the old witch house." Stefan told him, seeing his brother wasn't going to.
Elijah nodded to him, "Niklaus, get Kol." he ordered before speeding away. Klaus threw Damon against the other wall and did as his brother said before following after him.
"Damn it, Stefan." Damon remarked as he helped him up, "Why would you tell him?"
"Hello? You two could argue about it or we could go and make sure both Elena and Bonnie make it out of this alive." Caroline interrupted.
"For once, I agree with you, blondie." Damon spoke.
