(Y/N)'s P.O.V
The three of us frantically rush to the portal, the three of us exclaiming as we stagger out of it.
"Silver!" I exclaim breathlessly, shaking my head in shock at what he just did for us. "You... Gave up your--"
Silver cuts me off by waving his hand, shrugging nonchalantly.
"Just a lifelong obsession, Lassie. I'll get over it." He says casually, smirking a bit as he winks.
I smile as Morph rubs Silver's face, Jim watching Silver with a relieved smile as a voice from above calls out to us.
"Aloha, guys!!" Ben waves enthusiastically from the ship.
I smile as Ben peers at us from over the ledge of the ship and looks at his compass, which was now a countdown clock.
"Hurry, people! We got exactly two minutes and and thirty-four seconds till planet's destruction!!" he screams at us urgently.
"You're doing fine, Doctor." I hear Amelia yell over the explosions. "Now ease her over gently--" Delbert jerks the ship towards us, "Gently!!"
The boat rams into the side of the metal cliff, making me cringe as the boat was scratched and damaged. We all rush onto the ship, Silver scrambling up after us.
"Take us out of here, metal man!" Amelia orders to Ben sternly.
"Aye, Captain!" Ben salutes, pressing some buttons into the panel and screen and flicking a lever down, making us start to blast off.
"Captain!" Silver nervously greets, clapping his hands once together anxiously. "You dropped from the heavens in the nick of--"
"Save your claptrap for the judge, Silver!" Amelia cuts him off with a snarl, making Silver nervously chuckle and sigh as he deflates.
Jim and I look over at Silver with small frowns before joining Ben and Delbert at the steering wheel of the ship.
We all gasp as one of the main sails was ripped off its spot by some debris, the debris falling and landing on one of the ship's turbo jets that line the masts. The jet sputters before dying, making us move considerably slower.
"Missile tail demobilized, Captain!" Ben shouts, looking at the screen that shows the ship. "Thrusters at only 30% of capacity!"
"30%... That means we're--" Delbert's face falls, his eyes shifting back to Amelia, her own expression crestfallen with realization. "We'll... Never clear the planet's explosion in time."
My eyes widen at this before I pause, softly gasping with an idea. I rush to the side of the ship and peer back from where we came from, looking at the bright green map glow in front of the portal, Jim following suit behind me.
I look down and see part of the jet, making me jump down to the main deck.
"We gotta turn around," Jim speaks quickly, rushing and joining me.
"What?" Amelia demands, leaning over and watching Jim and I work.
I grab a long chunk of metal and drag it to Jim as he explains, "There's a portal back there! It can get us out of here!"
"Pardon me, Jim. But didn't that portal open onto a raging inferno?!" Delbert speaks calmly before screaming the end of his sentence.
"But we can change that!" I yell, dropping the metal in front of Jim and pointing to the jet. "We can open a different door and get to another world!"
Delbert seemed skeptical, shaking his head with wide eyes as he glances back to Amelia. "Captain, I really don't see how this is possible--"
"Listen to the girl!" Silver interrupts firmly, joining me and Jim on the main deck as Delbert looks back to him.
"One minute, twenty-nine seconds till planet's destruction!" I hear Ben scream.
Jim drags the jet over and sets it on the board and I hand him a rope, hoping that'll work in tying it together.
"What do you two need?" Silver asks, kneeling next to us.
"Just some way to attach this," Jim replies as he looks around, Silver gently pushing us away.
"All right, stand back, now." His cyborg arm changes into a torch and he mends the two metals together. "There you go."
Silver and Jim lift it onto the side of the ship while Morph helps.
"There you go!" Morph coos happily.
Jim jumps on as I watch, opening my mouth to speak. Before I could, he was silently holding a hand out to me, knowing there was no way to talk me out of not going with him as he smirks with amusement at me with raised brows.
I grin back happily and grab his hand, and he pulls me onto the board as I steady myself by wrapping my arms around him from behind.
"Okay, now... No matter what happens," Jim says firmly, glancing down to Silver. "Keep the ship heading straight for the portal."
I nod in agreement, looking down at Silver as well.
"Fifty-Eight seconds!!" Ben yells urgently in warning.
Silver looks at both of us with sadness and concern, and before I could say anything Jim slams onto the pedal, making the jet sputter and blast off as I hold on tightly.

Third Person P.O.V
Silver watches them leave and turns back to Delbert and Amelia with a stern expression.
"Well! You heard them! Get this blasted heap turned 'round!" Silver yells at Amelia as he waves his arm in a turning motion, making her ears perk.
"Doctor, head us back to the portal," Amelia says after a moment, making Delbert sigh with defeat and spin the wheel.
"Aye, Captain."

Jim maneuvers through flying debris and explosions skillfully, (Y/N) hanging on from behind tightly as she watches around for any debris he doesn't see.
The jet sputters before dying, making (Y/N) quickly stomp her foot onto the pedal as it reactivates.
(Y/N) tightly holds Jim from behind, Jim glancing back over his shoulder at her with a grin.
"Look who's havin' fun!" He jokes lightly, quoting himself.
"Look who's gonna kill me!" She playfully jokes back, gesturing to the explosions with a hand before smiling at him.
Jim lets out a laugh as he makes the board spin around and under some flying chunks of metal, (Y/N) holding on tightly as he steadies out.
"You know you love me!" Jim teases over the wind.
"Yeah, I do." (Y/N) agrees with a smile, pressing her forehead to his back as he smiles widely to himself.
Jim narrows his eyes and swerved his board to a floating wall, scraping the board along it to avoid an explosion and he sighs, focusing ahead.
...
Delbert swerves the ship in a panic with wide eyes, Amelia sitting leaning against the wall with wide eyes and perked ears as she grips her injured side.
"Go to the right! The right!!" she hisses urgently, wincing as the ship jerks a bit.
Delbert grits his teeth, scowling as he looks back at her. "I know! I know! Will you just let me drive?!"
Amelia was surprised for a moment as she blinks rapidly, her eyes narrowing as she huffs back at him.
Delbert maneuvers around debris as Ben shouts, "twenty-five seconds!!"
...
(Y/N) gasps as the engine dies again, slamming her foot onto the pedal once more as Jim looks down with alarm. His face falls and he looks back at the pedal when it doesn't start again, (Y/N) urgently slamming her foot down against it to no avail.
"No! No!" Jim yells as they start to plummet towards lava, (Y/N) gasping with wide eyes as her arms tighten around him.
...
"Come on, you two," Silver groans to himself in fear, watching as the two both disappear into the ravine below.
...
(Y/N) frantically slams her foot onto the pedal, Jim's eyes darting around as he clenches his teeth.
...
"Seventeen seconds!!!" Ben yells, making Morph squeal in concern and cover his eyes.
...
"Jim! The wall! Use it to make the engine spark again!" (Y/N) yells, making Jim gasp in realization.
"Of course! Man, I love you, you beautiful genius!"
(Y/N) opens her mouth to reply, but she was cut off by Jim quickly and skillfully spinning the board around so the jet was scraping against the wall, sparks flying as it begins to heat it up.
The jet quickly heated up and came back to life from the extra energy, making it blast off up again.
The boat flies overhead and Jim races to beat the planet's destruction, (Y/N)'s eyes narrowed as she looks ahead.
...
"Seven!" Ben shouts as Delbert braces himself with a wince, the ship sailing closer and closer.
"Six! Five! Four!"
Jim makes the solar board tilt sideways, (Y/N) leaning out a bit with one hand outstretched and her other arm around Jim.
"Three! Two!"
Jim sails over the portal, and (Y/N) presses the Montressor Space station.
...
The portal closes and opens and they all blast out of the portal, their fiery death evaded and behind them. The portal explodes and shuts, and Jim and (Y/N) laugh and cheer as he flies near and around the ship.
Silver cheers along with them, watching the couple fly with a proud smile.
"You done it, Jimmy and (Y/N)!" Jim steers the board to fly near Silver and he and (Y/N) high five him. "You done it, you two!"
Morph becomes confetti and fireworks as Silver laughs loudly.
"Didn't I say thems two had greatness in them?!" Silver loudly exclaims as he grins, clutching his fist.
The arrested crew from below cheer as well, happy to not be dead.
(Y/N) taps Jim and points to where Amelia and Delbert were embracing, a grin on her face at the sight. Jim flies towards the deck and skids on the ledge, both teens jumping off as the board flies away.
Morph races to the two and lick Jim's cheeks before doing the same to (Y/N), making them chuckle.
"Unorthodox, but ludicrously effective," Amelia grins, complimenting the two. "I'd be proud to recommend you two to the Interstellar Academy. They could use good kids like you."
Silver smiles proudly at the two young teens and looks at Morph.
"But that was all Jim," (Y/N) sheepishly explains and Amelia smiles. "I just... you know, held on."
"Aw, tish-tosh. I've seen you in action, Miss (L/N). You'll be a fine addition to the academy. Plus, I doubt Mr. Hawkins would want to be there without his girlfriend."
Jim wraps an arm around (Y/N) and kisses her cheek, "got that right."
"Just wait until your mother hears about this!" Delbert smiles at Jim before his smile drops. "Of course... We may downplay the life-threatening parts."
Jim chuckles as (Y/N) nods in agreement, and Ben joins the two.
"Jimmy, (Y/N)! That was unforgettable!" Ben grins, "Jim, I know you don't like me touching, but get ready for a hug you two, cause I gotta hug ya!!"
Ben laughs in glee and hugs Jim and (Y/N) tightly. Jim grins for a moment before he moves, (Y/N) gasping in surprise as Jim picks her and Ben up, spinning around.
He sets Ben down but continues holding (Y/N) as Ben gasps, "hey! You hugged me back! Usually it's only (Y/N! Oh. I promised myself I wouldn't cry."
He starts sobbing and Jim pats his back in comfort, chuckling.
(Y/N) nudges Jim and jerks her head in the direction Silver was moments ago, and both look at each other before nodding
"Does anyone have a tissue?!"
