ALWAYS AND FOREVER

{ Skipping episode "Know Thy Enemy" Aurora didn't fit into the episode }

Klaus - who was possessing Alarics body, groaned in frustration opening the man's closet, "Who is this guy, Safari Sam?"

Klaus came out of the closet with two shirts holding them up to Katherine who was compelled to sit in a chair,"Okay, bad or badder?"

Katherine being compelled to say, "The dark colors suit you better."

"Oh,thank you." Klaus smiled evilly - "Ok, pop quiz," Klaus said while he started putting on the darker shirt, "The dagger and white ash are in the Salvatore's possession?"

"The dagger was used to kill Elijah," Katherine unwillingly answered. "You'll find him in the basement of the house."

"Okay, that dagger needs to stay exactly where it is, the last thing we need to do is resurrect Elijah."

"Oh, that guys a buzzkill." Klaus scrunched up Alaric's face.

"Don't forget you're on the outs with your girlfriend Jenna." Katherine reminded.

"Right, Elena's aunt. For, uh, all the lies about Isobel," Klaus started walking closer to Katherine, "What else?"

Katherine was trying not to show how scared she was, and she knew what Klaus would do if he found out a certain Salvatore was here helping her brothers,"That's it."

Klaus walked up closer and stiffly caressed Katherine's hair which immediately made her flinch - so much for trying not to be scared, "Oh, so jumpy."

"Please, just kill me. I've told you everything that I know." Katherine begged - Klaus liked the sight of that, you don't see someone like Katherine Pierce beg everyday - even if it was to end their life.

Klaus bent down and put both hands on either side of the chair Katherine was compelled to sit in, "You see, I believe that you believe that. But what would you not know? What could they be keeping from you?" Klaus gave a sickly sweet smile, "Hmm? Anything?"

Klaus grew tired of no answers, "Tell me," He compelled.

"They were trying to see if Bonnie could find a way to kill an Original without a dagger." Katherine unwillingly answered.

Klaus grew slightly uneasy at that but kept his composure, "Bonnie the best friend?"

Katherine only nodded.

Klaus stood up straight and crossed his arms, "Thought you said she didn't have her powers anymore."

"She doesn't or didn't. I-I don't know," Katherine said with slight attitude "You kidnapped me remember. I'm kind of out of the loop."

Klaus took a deep breath - looking slightly annoyed by Katherine's answer, "Well, we'll have to get to the bottom of that."

"Please, just kill me, Klaus, and be done with it." Katherine continued to beg.

"And show you kindness? We've searched for you for over five hundred years," Klaus bitterly said, "Your death is going to last at least half that long."

Klaus smirked at Katherine. He took out a pocket knife, "Now, I want you to take this knife... and stab yourself."

Klaus' smirk widened - watching as Katherine reluctantly grabbed the knife and plunged it into her thigh.

"Now, take it out." Klaus ordered. "Now, while we're gone, I want you to do that over and over and over again. And if you get bored, switch legs."

"Where are you going?" Katherine asked looking absolutely terrified of the man standing before her.

Klaus put his hands back onto the arms of the chair Katherine is sitting in, "I'm going to lay eyes on my precious doppelgänger,"

"Oh, don't look so glum, Katerina," Klaus slightly mocked, "The fun is just beginning," Klaus walked over to the coat rack by the door.

"Again." Klaus' eyes twinkled with mischief - that look alone makes people want to run and hide and never see daylight ever again, Katherine has never felt that way more than in this moment.

——

Stefan, Aurora and Damon are waiting outside while Elena sign the papers to own the house -something Aurora definitely did not agree to, but it's to keep Elena safe, as per usual.

"You really think Bonnie can take on Klaus?" Damon asked his siblings, as they all stated ahead, waiting for the door to open.

"She said she could channel enough witch's power to kill him. Elijah thought that would work and he was an Original, so..." Stefan shrugged.

"We just need to find him."

Aurora almost snorted -you don't find Klaus, he finds you.

"Could she do one of those witch tracking spells?" Damon asked.

Aurora shook her head, arms crossed, "Nope. Not without something that belongs to Klaus. Believe me, I know all about it."

Kol.

"Do you think he killed her?" Damon asked, after a moment of silence.

Stefan shrugged, "Katherine? Probably."

"It's not like she didn't have it coming." Damon looked to the ground, almost sadly.

Elena opens the door. The lawyer leaves. "Thank you, Mr. Henry."

[Stefan, Aurora and Damon walk to the threshold but an invisible force keeps them out. "I'm sorry. I completely forgot." She looks at Aurora and Stefan. "Stefan, Aurora. Would you like to come inside my house?"

"I would love to. Thank you."

"Yes please, I need bourbon." Aurora muttered, walking into the house and straight to the bourbon cart.

Elena looks at Damon. "What are we, twelve?"

"One of us is. If I let you in, do you promise to obey the owner of this house?"

"No."

"Seriously, Damon. My way. You promised. I call the shots. No lies, no secret agendas. Remember?"

"Yes, Elena. Sure."

"Then please, come in." He enters and looks at Stefan. Elena closes the door "Shut up." He muttered.

Bonnie walks in from another room and gives Elena her jacket. "Thanks."

"Wait, where are you going?" Stefan spoke up, all the Salvatore's staring at the girl in confusion.

"To school." Elena shrugged on her jacket, responding as if it's obvious.

"Huh?" Aurora rolled her eyes, at this point -the girl is inviting death into her house.

"No, no, no. We didn't create a safe house for you to leave it."

"Yeah, guys, Klaus is out there. We know that." Stefan tried convincing the stubborn girl, while no one noticed the obvious stiffness of Aurora at the mention of his name.

The stinging in her eyes came back, why the hell does she want to cry?

"Right. But where? No one knows. Look, I really appreciate what you guys are doing. And I'll be able to sleep at night knowing that I'll be safe here, but I'm not going to be a prisoner."

She looks at Damon. "Tsk. Your way, Elena."

"Don't worry, I'm ready. If he shows his face, I can take him. Know how."

"The way I see it, next to Bonnie is the safest place that I can be. Come on." They leave. Stefan looks at Damon.

"Wait, um, coming." He leaves with them.

Aurora smirked, "Don't forget your lunch, sweetheart!" She yelled after him earning the finger back, causing her to chuckle.

——

Everyone was spaced out in the Salvatore Boarding house parlour room, freaking out about Klaus' message to Elena.

Nobody was panicking as much as Aurora was, but she didn't show it. Klaus is here. And so is she. Shit

"So we go to the dance and find him." Damon said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

Stefan looked at him in disbelief, "Really? How are we going to do that? We don't even know what he looks like."

"Not all of us," Aurora thought

"Something tells me he's not going to be 16 and pimply." Damon raised his eyes brows.

"I bet he's hot," Aurora blurted out, ignored all the scolding looks she was getting and continued, "The bad ones are always hot, you all know I'm right."

Ignoring what Aurora said Stefan continued with his rant about Klaus, "He could be anywhere at any time. He compelled somebody at school."

"I guess it's not as safe as you guys thought, huh?" Stefan rhetorically asked - earning an annoyed look from Elena

Someone knocking on the door made Aurora turn her head toward the door along with the rest of the group.

"There you are." Damon said.

Alaric looked around at the whole group and stopped on Aurora, with wide eyes, he took in her appearance. "She is still as beautiful as the day she left," he thought- he's finally found her. "Sorry I'm late," Alaric said to Damon as if he actually cared about being on time.

"Hey, I need you to put me and Ro down as a chaperone at the dance tonight. Klaus made his first move." Damon informed - looking as if Klaus doing anything at all didn't bother him whatsoever.

"His arrogance is going to kill him one day," Aurora thought.

"Okay, so we find him and then what? Hmm? What's are plan of attack?" Elena asked - looking nervous and determined at the same time.

"Me," Bonnie stated, "I'm the plan. He has no idea how much power I can channel."

"He does now," Klaus thought to herself

"If you can find him, I can kill him." Bonnie added.

Elena started to look hopeful, "That's not gonna be that easy," Alaric let out a nervous laugh, "I mean, he is the biggest, baddest vampire around."

Aurora sent him a weird look, he was definitely acting weirder than he normally does.

"Alaric has a point. I mean, what if he—?" Damon vamp sped to Bonnie - only to be thrown to the other side of the room, and Bonnie barely even moved a muscle. Aurora was slightly impressed.

If Klaus was nervous before, he was definitely angry now.

"Well, I was impressed." Stefan voiced, looking almost smug that they had Bonnie on their side.

These people actually think they can beat an a thousand year old Original vampire - soon to be Hybrid.

It was kind of funny.

"It doesn't matter if he's an Original. I can take down anyone who comes at me." Sure Bonnie, sure. "I can kill him, Elena. I know I can."

——

Klaus stormed into the apartment, speeding to Katherine, holding her against a wall and his hand around her neck, choking her, "Why didn't you tell me?!" He shouted in her face, his eyes burning with fury and love.

Katherine knew what he was talking about just from the eyes, even if they were Alaric's -Klaus was never good at hiding his emotions. "I don't know-" She tried to hide it, but Klaus only squeezed tighter.

"Tell me!"

"From this, I can see you've seen her." Katherine said, while trying to breath, "Hard, isn't it? Seeing the love of your life doing good, without you."

Klaus dropped her, Katherine fell -clutching her neck, trying to catch her breath. He ran his fingers through Alarics hair.

Her vanilla and citrus scent lingers nearby, he remembered everything about her, the way her hair flowed behind her shoulders -the silky smooth feeling between his fingers. Her smile that brightened his world. The twinkle in her big, blue-green irises whenever she saw him.

He needs her back, he always needed her -the century he spent without her was torture, his heart was empty without her, he became colder and more violent.

But, when he looked at her, she looked like she felt the same, unless his eyes were playing tricks on him. Her eyes used to have so much warmth in them. Happiness, humor. Innocence and so much confidence. She was so sure of herself. maybe it was that touch of arrogance that made her a little dangerous. But she looked afraid now. Cold, removed. Terrified.

——

Still at Alaric's apartment - Katherine was back sitting in the same chair, her legs covered in her own blood.

"Ah, you're right," Klaus was looking through the closets to find anything for the sixties dance. "This witch is all juiced up and aiming to kill."

"That's terrible," Katherine sarcastically replied.

"We're gonna have to kill her," Klaus continued rummaging through all the drawers in Alaric's apartment. "Now, do you think this Alaric guy has anything vintage?"

Klaus noticed a loose board in one of the drawers - he opens it up to see a bunch of weapons with wooden bullets. "Crossbows, wooden bullets and automatics?"

He took out one of the Crossbows and showed everyone in the room while asking, "Who is this guy, again?"

"He's the local vampire hunter." Katherine answered while taking a glass from one of the shelves.

"Ah. Well, that explains the clothing." Klaus threw the crossbow onto the bed and made his way toward the kitchen where Maddox was sitting.

Maddox handed a glass of bourbon to Klaus, "All I could find. Guy likes his bourbon."

"I knew there was something about him I liked." Klaus stated. "There's a High school dance," He continued, "I'm gonna need you to take out the witch bitch."

"If she has that much power, she can sense me coming from a mile away." Maddox responded, "I won't be able to get near her. You have to do it."

"I'm this body? I'm a haggard history teacher. She can easily hurt me," Klaus paused, "I mean, not me, Klaus me — but you know what I mean."

Maddox started walking closer to Klaus, "No witch could handle channeling that much power. It'll kill her. It would kill me. You just have to make her use it."

Klaus looked at him in confusion, "You mean like provoking her to death?"

Maddox nodded, "It won't take long. Just keep attacking her until it kills her. Alaric's body, will last longer than her's will."

"How? He's human." Klaus questioned.

"I can help in that department. I can do a spell to protect you." Maddox answered.

Klaus smirked, his plan was smoothly sailing -but, now a new plan formed in his brain.

Aurora.

——

{ Aurora's 60s outfit }

——

Aurora walked into the dance alongside the rest of the group - she excused herself to get some punch, that was most likely spiked.

She looked around the dance to try and spot Klaus - she would be lying if she said she wasn't nervous for seeing him again. She left for a reason.

Dana walked up to the stage after being compelled by Klaus to give a special announcement. "We have a special shout-out tonight. This is for Aurora. From Klaus."

The song Dedicated to the one I love by The Mamas & The Papas started playing. Auroras eyes went wide as she searched the gym for Klaus, not noticing Alaric's eyes watching her every move.

She looked terrified.

"That was a lame, cheap shot. He's just trying to bait us." Damon tried to calm everyone down, it wasn't exactly working.

"I know everyone here." Elena informed.

"Maybe he's not here. He just wants us to believe that he is." Stefan tried comforting Elena.

Aurora decided to pitch in. "It's a party people, blend. Let him come to us."

"Good idea." Bonnie said while grabbing onto Jeremy and started walking to the dance floor.

Jeremy tried fighting against Bonnie as she pulled him,"No, no, I really don't feel like dancing."

"Too bad." Bonnie remarked.

Damon spotted Alaric. "There's Ric. We'll be back." He grabbed Aurora's hand and started to pull her towards Alaric.

"Damon." Aurora scolded.

"What?" Damon asked innocently.

"Special dedication, huh? This guy's a little twisted." Klaus said once Aurora and Damon were beside him, he looked down at their intertwined hands and clenched his jaw - the urge to rip out Damon's heart in front of the whole school was strong.

Damon furrowed his brows. "I'm not impressed."

Klaus looked a little disappointed at that - but more annoyed than anything. "No?"

"Let me know if you see anything out of whack." Damon said before leaving Aurora with Alaric.

Alaric looked down at the Salvatore girl, "How are you doing with all this Klaus stuff?"

Aurora tilted her head towards him, before lifting a hand and clutching her necklace, "Don't worry about me, Elena is the one being sacrificed."

"Well, considering you know him, I think we should worry about you." Alaric informed the girl, who froze at what he said.

She narrowed her eyes at him, "What did you say?"

Alaric chuckled, "It's quite obvious, Aurora." Saying her name again felt like angels were dancing on his tongue, "You freeze whenever his name is mentioned and you always grab that necklace."

"Is it that obvious?" Aurora looked down to her hands, avoiding his intense gaze.

"Only to me, love."

They stood together for a moment, before Aurora's brows stitched together, "What did you just call me?"

Alaric realized his slip up, cursing at himself internally for being so stupid -but it has always been hard to lie to her. "We will be together again, one day. Goodbye, for now, Aura." He whispered in her ear, before disappearing in the crowd.

Chills went down her spine. Aura. A nickname only the Mikaelsons ever called her. He called her.

"Oh, god." Aurora mumbled, running a hand through her wavy hair. Her nightmare just came true. Klaus is here.

She didn't really think he would actually be here until they announced he was, she was hoping it was just a scare, but he's here and he's not leaving until he gets what he wants.
