Chapter 25
Divorce
Chapter 25
âSuret
âI disagreeâ
Two starkly different voices echoed in the living room. Donna looked at Kenneth in disbelief. âAre you crazy! Angelaâs been cheating on you!â
Kenneth remained indifferent. âThis is something between us. Iâd prefer you not to interfere.â
Donna sneered, âNot interfere Kenneth, has Angela bewitched you? She had done such a disgrace, and you still plan to stay with her?â
âI said itâs none of your business. Donât interfere with our affairs anymore!â
Angela, who had been silent until now, suddenly spoke up. âI agree to the divorce as long as you can get Kenneth to sign th
the papers
Seeing Angela agree so readily. Donna couldnât help but frown.
âYouâre agreeing to the divorce just like that!â
Angela smiled, âDidnât you just say it Kenneth and I have been married for three years without kids, and yes, I did fool around with a gigolo
Donna glared at Angela. âYou better make sure you can do as you say
âIf youâre worried, I can write a formal letter or swear to you.â
No sooner had she finished speaking, Kenneth couldnât bear it any longer and burst out. âAngela, shut up!â
Angela turned to Kenneth, her expression calm. âLook, everyone thinks we shouldnât be together. Why do you still refuse to divorce!â
She really couldnât understand what Kenneth was thinking. She was stepping aside for him and Jennifer. He should be eager to sign the papers.
Kenneth was silent for a few seconds, then he took Angelaâs hand and left without a word.
Donna watched their retreating figures, seething with anger, and immediately called Richard Sinclair, Kennethâs father
âRichard, come back home. I need to discuss something with you!â
Stepping out of Sinclair Manor, Angela shook off Kennethâs hand impatiently.
*Kenneth, enough. I donât want to keep dealing with your mom like this Canât you just let me go?
Kenneth stopped. âIf you donât want to deal with her, then donât. If she comes to you, just ignore her. Angela was surprised to hear this. She hadnât expected Kenneth to say something like that.
âNo matter what you say or do now, it wonât change my mind about wanting a divorce,â she continued.
Kennethâs expression was indifferent as he spoke. âYou will still be Mrs. Sinclair as long as I donât want a divorce.â
Realizing that continuing this argument would lead nowhere, Angela dropped the topic. âI donât want to talk about this today. Letâs go backâ Seeing the impatience in Angelaâs eyes, Kenneth felt a surge of irritation.

The next morning, Angela took the gown to the office and handed it to Brenda âHappy Birthday!â
The moment Brenda saw the Heartfall dress, she was astonished and delighted, and she couldnât help but fondle it admiringly.
âIs this really for me?â she exclaimed
âYeah, I finished in a while ago. I just never got around to picking it upâ
Brenda hugged Angela excitedly. âAngle, th
thank you so much. Iâm thrilled Iâm going to wear this dress for my date tonightâ
Angela raised an eyebrow. âYou have a boyfriend now!
âYeah, Brenda replied shyly. âWhen the timeâs right, I bring him over to meet you

Chapter 25
Seeing the happiness on Brendaâs face, Angela was curious. She wondered what kind of man could capture the heart of a strongâwilled woman like Brenda
âI was planning to take you out for dinner tonight, but since you have a date with your boyfriend, letâs do it another time.â
âOkay.â
After Brenda left, Angela was about to review some documents when her phone suddenly rang.
âAngela, Kenneth have signed the divorce paper. You need to come over to Sinclair Manor right away!â
Angela frowned. Just yesterday, Kenneth was refusing to divorce. She couldnât believe he had agreed to sign it today.
âDid he really sign them?
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and then Donnaâs mocking voice came through. âWhat else? Do you think I would lie to you? Or do you think that Kenneth couldnât live without you?â
Angela pressed her lips and replied, âAlright, Iâll be there soon.â
After hanging up, Jennifer spoke with concern beside Donna. âMrs. Sinclair, are you sure this is the right thing to do? If Kenneth finds out about this, heâs going to be furiousâ
Donnaâs face was cold. âYou donât need to worry. Once he and Angela finalize their divorce, even if heâs truly angry, what can he do? Iâm his mother, after all. He canât do anything to mef
Last night, she called Richard back home and exaggerated the incident about Angela and the gigolo, wanting Richard to force Kenneth to divorce Angela. However, Richard scolded her, saying it was Kenneth and Angelaâs personal matter and that she should not intervene.
Donna was furious and couldnât sleep all night. She wouldnât allow such an unethical woman like Angela to continue staying by Kennethâs side.
Half an hour later, Angela stepped into Sinclair Manorâs living room.
The two people who were chatting and laughing stopped, and their smiles faded as they saw her.
Donna lifted her chin, her tone disdainful. The divorce papers are on the table. Once you sign them, youâll have nothing to do with Kenneth ever again
Angela walked to the table, picked up the divorce papers, and flipped to the last page. Indeed, she saw Kennethâs signature.
She picked up a pen and couldnât help but glance at Donna for confirmation. âThis signature of Kenneth is legitimate, right!â
Donna anorted, âOf course, itâs real. I wouldnât stoop to using a fake signature to deceive you!â
âAlright thenâ
Seeing Angela sign her name without hesitation, Donna felt some discomfort. She had expected Angela to hesitate or be reluctant to sign. But now, Angela seemed relieved, as if she had taken off some burden
To avoid any further complications, Angela said, Tâm going to take these divorce papers to the Courthouse right now.
As soon as she finished speaking, Donna said, âIâll go with you, just to make sure you donât play any tricks behind my backâââ
Angela didnât refuse. âSure.â
Stepping out of Sinclair Manor, Donna saw the Lamborghini parked at the entrance and couldnât help but frown, âDid Kenneth buy you that car? Since youâre getting divorced, you canât take it with you.â
angela was taken aback by Donnaâs bizarre claim. Setting aside the fact that the car was Angelaâs, even if Kenneth had bought it for her, she had every reason to keep it after caring for Kenneth for three years.
Jennifer glared at Angela, her eyes red with anger and jealousy.
Yeah, Angela, youâre not planning to take advantage of Kenneth even after the divorce, right?â
In Jenniferâs mind, his money would be hers once she married Kenneth, so she was determined not to let Angela keep the car.
Angela glanced at them indifferently. âYou might be disappointed. This car has nothing to do with Kenneth. Iâll wait for you at the Courthouse
entrance.
With that, Angela smoothly got into her car and drove off, leaving Donna and Jennifer behind.
After arriving at the Courthouse entrance, Angela waited for over an hour, but Donna and Jennifer still hadnât shown up.

She felt impatient and decided to finalize the divorce herself.
Just as she got out of her car, a black Maybach pulled up in front of her.
Angelaâs eyes widened in shock, and she instinctively gripped the divorce papers tighter.
The next second, the rear door of the Maybach swung open.
Kenneth stepped out, approaching Angela with a stern face, his eyes filled with anger.
