Chapter 35
Angela suddenly turned around and stared coldly at Kenneth. âWhat are you trying to say?â
âJust go to dinner with me, and IT secure the deal with the Lewis Croup.â Kenneth replied.
After a moment of eye contact with Kenneth, Angela suddenly laughed. âMr. Sinclair, if 1 dine with them and you give a deal to the Lewis Group. arenât they too lucky?â
Kenneth looked at her coldly, sensing an underlying meaning in her words.
Her smile turned sarcastic the next second,
She said, âEveryone at the Lewis Group would want to go to dinner with you for such a good chance. Let them gof
Angela got out of the car. Kenneth stared after her with a cold gaze. âAngela, if Brenda keeps retaliating against Debra, pushing Henry too far, she wonât gain anything!â
Angela hesitated but eventually turned back to look at Kenneth coldly.
She said, âSo what? Are we really supposed to let Debra bully us just because Brenda and I arenât as powerful as Henry?â
Kenneth fell silent before speaking. âWhy make things worse when we can find a peaceful way out?â
our friend. I donât blame you
Angela took a deep breath, looking straight into Kennethâs eyes. âYou only want a peaceful solution because Henry is your for siding with him, but donât try to push your opinions onto me.â
Kenneth felt Angela was being unreasonable. âAngela, Henry is willing to compensate for the dress, and he and Debra want to apologize. What more do you want!â
That dress took Angela a month to design, and she had looked forward to seeing Brenda wear it.
But Debra not only stole Brendaâs boyfriend and paraded around in that dress but also deliberately damaged it. Angela couldnât bear this insult!
âWhat if it was Jenniferâs dress that got ruined? Would you still be so calm Angela asked.
Seeing Kenneth fall silent, Angela wryly smiled, âCompared to Jennifer, I mean nothing to you, right? Kenneth, having mean you can harm me as you like.â
When he heard the word before, Kennethâs expression turned gloomy, anger rising in his heart

âWhat exactly do you want?â he asked,
Disappolmed, Angela looked at him coldly and began to doubt why she ever liked Kenneth.
âYou asked the wrong person. You should ask Brenda.â After saying that, Angela turned and walked away.
That night, Angela went straight back to her villa in Northpoint. A cold war began between them.
For Angela, life didnât change much; not seeing Kenneth made her feel much better.
A week later, Brenda came to see Angela.
Brenda said, âAngle, Henryâs secretary called me. Henry and Debra want to make amends, and Debra is willing to apologize.
Seeing Brendaâs complex expression, Angela smiled gently, âWhat do you think?â
âI just wanted Debra to apologize to me at first.â
Hearing this, Angela nodded. âOkay, then do as you wish. But donât let her off too easily. Make sure she remembers this lesson.â
âYeah, Iâve decided to make her apologize on the largest advertising screen in Lithoria.â
âThat sounds good. I got your back.â
With Angelaâs support, Brenda finally relaxed, though she looked guiltily at Angela. âSorry about Heartfall, the dress you designed for me. I wish I

âWell, if so, how about treating me to a meal?â
Brenda hugged her tightly. âAngle, youâre so good to me!â
Knowing she had to apologize to Brenda on Lithoniaâs largest advertising screen, Debra was so furious that she smashed everything in the living

She felt indignant at having to apologize to Brendal

The news of Debraâs public apology to Brenda spread quickly. After some inquiries, Jennifer found out the details and immediately thought Debra was incredibly foolish

Brenda received not only Debraâs apology but also four million dollars from Henry.
This time, Brenda accepted it. She had planned to give the money to Angela, but Angela refused it.
Brenda said, âIf you wonât take it, let me treat you and Patrick to dinner tonight. He helped me a lot this time, and my lawyer was introduced by him
Angela raised an eyebrow. âIs that what your dinner with Patrick was all about!â
âYes, Are you free tonight? Iâll ask if Patrick is available.â
Fon this one, you can go ahead with Patrick.â
âIâll pass o
a falling out?â
As Brenda was messaging Patrick, she looked up at Angels, puzzled. âDid you and Patrick have a fallin
Angela shook her head. âNo, nothing major, just some personal issues. I suppose Iâll have to keep my distance from him for a while.â
Brenda wanted to ask more, but Angela said, âAlright, Iâve got work to do. You should go
âIâll treat you alone another day.â
âSure.â
After Brenda left, Angela was about to read some documents, but her phone rang.
Seeing it was Beatrice, Angela couldnât help but smile and quickly answered, âGrandma, why did you call me today? Arenât you playing cards!â
In the Sinclair family, only Beatrice truly cared for Angela. So, even though she and Kenneth were about to divorce, Angela didnât want to be distant
from Beatrice.
Beatrice snorted. âAngie, have you forgotten about me? Itâs b been so long since visited

Angela hurriedly replied, âHow could I forget? Iâve just been really busy with work. Iâll come to see you as soon as I can!â
Beatrice sounded displeased. âDonât wait any longer. Come over tonight. Ell have the chef prepare your favorite fried chicken!â
After saying that. Beatrice hung up.
Hearing the beep on the phone, Angela fels a mix of amusement and helplessness at Beatriceâs domineering way.
Bat Angela liked it!

Chapter 35
Harmony Manor was designed by Jacob and Beatrice when Jacob was still alive.
Several years passed after Jacobâs passing, bur Heatrice refused to move to live with Richard and Donna. She said she wanted to live there surrounded by the memories of living with Jacob until those memories faded away.
Harmony Manor was built halfway up a hill. Jacob had purchased the entire hill just for it.
As Angela drove to the base of the hill and saw the neatly lined maple trees whose leaves were beginning to yellow, she felt it was a pity that it was night and she couldnât see them clearly; they must be beautiful during the day.
Ten minutes later, Angela arrived at the gates of Harmony Manor, where a servant promptly opened the gate.
She parked her car in the courtyard and saw Kenneth feeding the dog in the corridor.
This was the first time they had met since their unpleasant encounter outside the Empyria Group building.
