Author's pov :
Myra was frustrated, tears streaming down her face. As she walked, Teju noticed her distress. Seeing her crying, he approached her and asked what had happened. And that's how it all began."
Myra didn't reply to him, so he made her sit on a bench and continuously tried to comfort her by saying, 'Okay, calm down. Let me know what happened. Did anyone send something to you?' After some time, Myra explained everything that had happened between her and Rudy to him. Teju then said, 'Are you jealous of our aarohi?'
Myra remained silent.
'Answer me,' Teju said. Finally, she replied, 'No, why would I be? I'm just Rudy's best friend, and I don't want to lose him".
"Myra denied whatever Teju said, but Teju sensed that she had feelings for Rudy. However, he didn't press the issue further. Instead, he focused on comforting her and walked her to her room, saying, 'It's okay, everything will be fine. You can't stay far from each other, so Rudy will come to u . Don't worry.' Then Teju left."
"On the other side, rudy was also very frustrated and angry at Myra because he didn't expect her to say something like that about Aarohi.
He was also sad because Myra was always with him every time, and she was just so confused about why this was all happening between them.
"The next day, Rudy went to class before time .He went directly to class and sat down.
Meanwhile, when Aarohi came out of the building, she was expecting Rudy, but he didn't come that morning. Somewhere, she felt disheartened, but she still went to class directly. Upon entering the class, she saw that Rudy was already seated."
"Rudy didn't see her as he was looking at a textbook on his desk. Aarohi went to her seat and sat down.
After some time, Myra and Teju arrived and also took their seats. Normally, Rudy sat between Myra and Teju, but today Teju sat between Myra and Rudy as Myra asked him to switch seats. Myra and Rudy were not even looking at each other. They were both angry with each other,
and then Teju said," yrr tum log kb tak baat nhi karoge" whatever happened yesterday, just clear it out".
"Myra and Rudy looked at each other but didn't say a word.
After class, Myra just took her stuff and left the class alone while Teju followed her.
Rudy was still sitting on his seat when Aarohi approached him and asked, 'What happened? Why are you looking so down today?'
Rudy replied, 'I just had a fight with Myra yesterday. We're not talking to each other.'
Aarohi, who sat beside him, asked why they fought?
"Rudy told her that Myra had been behaving differently for the past few days and he didn't know why she was wants to fight with him. And she always ends up adding aarohi in their fights.
Aarohi was about to ask, 'Me? I mean, we barely know each other 'Did you two fight because of me?'
Rudy nodded his head.
"Why?" Aarohi asked.
Rudy replied, "Because she said something bad about you, and I can't hear anything against you."
Aarohi smiled a little, but she felt upset because they both fought because of her.
So, she told Rudy, "Just go and talk to her. I can understand her because you always spend time with me, and she might feel ignored by you. But it's okay."
"But she hates you," Rudy replied.
"She doesn't hate me, she just doesn't like me, and even I don't like her.
It's okay. But just go and talk to her, and say sorry," aarohi insisted.
But....
If u are not going then I'm not gonna talk to u either.
"This is not fair. How can you do this?"
"That's the decision, and don't come to the library today. Just go and clear up the misunderstanding between you and myra, aarohi said firmly.
"No," Rudy said.
"Okay then, I'll not teach you. I'm going to my room. Bye,"
Aarohi was about to leave when Rudy grabbed her hand, pulled her towards the wall, and came close to her until they could feel each other's breath.
In a slow voice, Rudy said, "If I apologize to Myra and clear up the misunderstanding, whatever it is,
can you go out with me?"
Aarohi didn't say anything at first, but then Rudy asked again, "Answer me, will you go out with me?"
Aarohi replied, "Okay, if you both clear up the things, I'll go with you, but it will not be a date."
Rudy smiled and smirked, saying, "Okay, it will be a date."
Aarohi insisted, "No, it will not be a date."
"Okay, we'll just go out,"
Rudy agreed. But he keep looking at her.
"Step back," Aarohi softly whispered.
Rudy, with a playful glint in his eyes, teased, "Why? Are you feeling something?"
Aarohi, with a delicate laugh, replied, "No, why would I?"
Yet, Aarohi's heart raced visibly, unable to mask her feelings as Rudy stood so close to her, leaving her breathless.
In that intimate moment, Aarohi felt her heart flutter at the proximity of Rudy.
Then Aarohi commented, "Your heart."
Rudy asked, "What about it?"
"It's beating so fast."
After realizing that his heart was beating fast, Rudy stepped back, placing his hand over his neck, looking a bit confused.
Aarohi gently urged, "Just go and talk to Myra."
Rudy nodded, "Okay, but don't break the promise."
As Aarohi was leaving, she turned towards Rudy and affirmed, "I never break promises." Then she left.
Rudy collected all his stuff and ran to find Myra. He didn't find her anywhere on campus, so he called Teju, who informed him that Myra had gone to her room. Eventually, Rudy already knew how to convince myra to seek forgiveness , so he brought all his favorite snacks and went directly to Myra's room.
He knocked, but Myra didn't open the door. After knocking repeatedly, Myra finally opened the door and asked, "What are you doing here?"
Rudy replied, "I just came to meet you."
Myra asked, "Why?"
Rudy responded, "Why? Do I need a reason to come and meet you?"
Rudy entered her room and asked Myra, "Have you eaten anything? I brought all your favorites. Let's eat together , but "You don't have a TV here. Next time we'll eat at my place."
Despite Myra's silence, rudy kept talking.
Myra eventually asked rudy to leave.
Rudy grabbed her hand and apologized, "Look, Myra, I'm really sorry for what I said yesterday. I shouted at you, and I know I shouldn't have. Please forgive me. I just got so angry. It won't happen again."
However, Myra responded, "Yeah, I know its all my fault. So Just leave now. I have to pack my things."
Rudy asked, "What things? Are you going somewhere?"
Myra replied, "Yes, I'm going back to Gwalior because you didn't ask me to come here; I came on my own."
Rudy pleaded, "Please listen to me. I'm really sorry. Don't go. You know I need you.
Myra stated firmly, "You don't need me. We're just friends. I can't make decisions for you." So its better if i leave.
Myra was in tears at that moment, deeply hurt by Rudy's words from the previous day. She turned away, unable to face Rudy.
Rudy, equally upset, recognized Myra's significance in his life. He approached her from behind, hugging her gently, and pleaded, "Please don't go. I'm truly sorry, okay? Please, Myra."
Myra's anger melted away as she listened to him. Turning towards Rudy, she expressed, "You're so bad. You always make me sad and upset. I don't want to talk to you."
Rudy apologized again, saying, "I'm sorry. Please. It won't happen again. I know we'll again fight in the future, but I'll make it right, okay? Please."
Myra eventually relented, saying, "Okay."
Rudy suggested, "Let's eat something. I'm hungry." And with that, tensions eased and they sorted things out.
At night, Rudy called Aruvi and said her, "I sorted things out with Myra. All misunderstandings are cleared."
Aarohi acknowledged, "That's good, you did the right thing. Now, focus on studying since you didn't study much today."
Rudy reminded her, "Did you forget our promise? Are you going break it?"
Aarohi assured him, "No, I'm not.
So, when are we going?" Rudy asked
"Tomorrow evening." Aarohi said.
"Why evening? Let's go in the afternoon, so we have more time before the campus gates close." Rudy debated,
"Isn't that too long?" Aarohi countered,
"It's just 6-7 hours." Rudy said
"Okay then, let's go in the afternoon."
After a moment of silence, Rudy said thank you to Aruvi.
Why..??
For everything, including teaching me, being there for me when i was sad, and helping me resolve things with Myra and also thanks in advance for the tomorrow.
Aarohi smiled and modestly replied, no worries. But where are we going tomorrow?"
Rudy admitted, "I don't know yet. We'll decide then."
Aarohi suggested, "Okay, let's meet up tomorrow. So you hang up now."
Rudy said "Okay, you hang up first."
And Aarohi ended the call.
rudy just laugh coz he was somewhere expecting that "you hang up first debat" with her but he realised that it can't be helped now as he fell on this straight forward nature of aarohi .
While lying on his bed he keep thinking about what happened in the classroom, realizing that it was the first time his heart had beaten so fast.
Despite having been close to girls in the past, none of them had ever made his heart race like this before. And then he paused, lost in thought of her and ha was really excited for tomorrow .
He keep thinking about aarohi and turning here and there on his bed and shouting '" what's happening to me why I'm already missing her so much"'
