"The next morning, Aarohi was so confused, like, why she reacted like that yesterday? That man who was in the operating theatre was just a patient for her and nothing else. So, she just said to herself, 'Be strong, Aarohi, and you can do it. Just act like a doctor. No need to merge your personal and professional life.'

She got ready, went to the hospital, and as she was in her fourth year, there were fewer classes and more patients to watch. She was just about to begin her routine checkup for the patient when Jiya came and asked her, 'What happened to you yesterday, huh? Why were you behaving like that?' But Aarohi said, 'I don't know, I just wasn't feeling good.' And Jiya said, 'Don't lie, I know you, okay? I've known you for the last four years. You're not like this. You love treating patients. And yesterday, you were just shaking. Your whole body was shaking after coming out of the operating theatre. What happened to you?' But Aarohi didn't say anything and continued checking on her patient.

The patient was an old man who had been admitted to the hospital about a week ago, and he only wanted to be treated by Aarohi because she treated her patients so patiently. Aarohi asked the patient, 'How are you feeling today, Uncle Malhotra?' And the patient said, 'I am good, Aarohi. I really don't know why they are not letting me go home. I am fine.' And Aarohi said, 'Of course, you are fine. You can go home in two days.' After that, Aarohi and Jiya left for their classes.

On the way to the classes, Aarohi stopped at a room where Rudra had been kept after being treated. She took a glance from the outside, from the mirror on the door, and saw that Rudra was still unconscious. He hadn't opened his eyes since the previous night, but Jiya interrupted her and said, 'He is the same patient from yesterday, right?' Jiya said.

'Yes,

do you know who he is?' Jiys asked.

No,

Jiya said, 'You are lying. You don't know him?'

Aarohi felt nervous, wondering how Jiya knew that she knew him. But Aarohi said, 'No, I really don't know him.' And Jiya said, 'You're stupid. He's a cricketer, right? He plays Ranji Trophies or maybe he'll get selected for the IPL team this year.' And he is so handsome and very popular among girls .

Aarohi felt relieved that Jiya was talking about something else, but at the same time, she realized that Rudra had become a cricketer. Then she remembered that he had once told her that he used to play cricket when he was in school and that he loved cricket a lot. But then she thought h , 'Maybe he didn't pass the exam, otherwise he'll be in the fifth year.' And Aarohi realized that if she could pass the exam on the first attempt, she would also be in the fifth year. At the same time, she was thinking, 'Did Rudra's father agree for him to be a cricketer?' All of these thoughts were going through her mind when Jiya said, 'Where did you lose yourself again? Let's go.' And Jiya said, 'I wish he gets well soon. Maybe he won't be able to play the whole year.' And they both left for class."

"At the evening, Aarohi and Jiya were told by the staff member that they both have to do a night shift today.

After hearing this, Jiya said, No, we have already done two night shifts this week, but Aarohi said, You can't do anything and Jiya said, Yes, and they went to the canteen to have a coffee as they have to wake up almost for the whole night and then when they were going out of the canteen, Aarohi heard two staff members were talking to each other, Aarohi stopped and heard them as she heard the name of Rudra, she heard that one of them saying, You know that patient from last night , he is still so serious, the doctor said if he didn't wake up in 12 hours, there will be no chance for him to came back to life and this made Aarohi's coffee drop from his hand after hearing this .

Jiya said, What are you doing? She just became so lost in his mind and  Jiya asked the staff members to send someone to clean that coffee and Jiya went to the canteen, took another coffee for Aarohi and take Aarohi on the rounds, they were checking all the patients one by one, but Aarohi was still thinking about the Rudra and then Jiya said, Okay, this ward patients are completed, now we have to go for the patients who are in the rooms .

Aarohi said, Okay, you go on the second floor, I will go on the third, but Jiya said, No, I want to go on the third, I want to check that handsome cricket, but Aarohi insists that she wants to go and she went to check the patients, she directly went to the Rudra's room, she slowly opened the door, walking slowly towards her, the tears were almost in her eyes, but she was controlling them somehow, she went towards Rudra, the first thing she had to do is to check the file of the patient, but instead she keep looking at him, she was looking at the bandage all over his body, over his head, the oxygen mark on his face, the running glucose water pin on his hand, this made her felt so hurt, like why she is feeling, still feeling upset after seeing Rudra like this, but then she kept looking at her, she was just about to put his hand on the Rudra's forehead, wanted to run his fingers over his hairs, but then he realized, No, Aarohi, he is no one to you, he is the person you hated from last 5 years and now he is just your patient.

She took the file of Rudra and quickly reviewed it, noting every detail. She prepared an injection and checked his temperature. Just then, Jiya entered the room and asked if Aarohi was finished.

Aarohi replied, 'Almost.' Jiya glanced at Rudra lying on the bed and remarked on his appearance. 'Look how handsome he is,' she said sadly, 'but now, how helpless he is. I wish he wakes up by morning.'

Aarohi echoed the sentiment, 'I wish too.'

They both left the room, but Aarohi couldn't tear her gaze away from Rudra as Jiya slowly closed the door."

"The next morning, Jiya saw Aarohi sitting in the waiting hall. She went directly to Aarohi and asked him, 'Where were you last night?' Aarohi replied, 'I was in the cabin with Dr. Savitri.'

Jiya retorted, 'Seriously? Are you lying to me, Aarohi?' Aarohi responded, 'What? No.'

Jiya said, 'Look, I already saw you last night.'

Nervous, Aarohi asked, 'What? What did you see?'

Jiya replied, 'I saw you last night sitting beside Rudra Sinha's bed, holding her hand the whole night. We are doctors, right? We don't attach. And even if you have a crush or something, you can't do this, right? So tell me, what's your deal with him?' Aarohi subconsciously said, 'No, nothing. I just went on a routine check so far.'"

"But jiya insisted, 'Just tell me the truth.'

Aarohi kept giving excuses. Then she noticed someone asking about Rudra at the reception.

A middle-aged woman, presumably Rudra's mom, arrived with a girl, likely her sister. Later, a man arrived, presumably the father, confirming they were here to see Rudra.

Aarohi has  been staring at them, and jiya asked, 'Hey, where are you lost again?'

Aarohi replied, 'nowhere, let's go. I'm already tired today.'

Rudra's family entered his room. His mother cried, his sister teared up, and his father stood quietly beside them. The doctor arrived in the morning to check on Rudra. Eventually, Rudra slowly opened his eyes, looking at his family, then at the doctor, but remained silent.

His mother and sister smiled, asking how he was feeling, but Rudra didn't respond.

Aarohi stood outside the gate, peering into the room through the door's mirror. Rudra's gaze shifted to the small mirror, and Aarohi quickly stepped aside. Rudra was confused, unsure if he really saw Aarohi or was imagining her there. He concluded he must have been imagining her.

The doctor examined Rudra and informed his father that he was alright, a miracle considering his condition last night. His mother thanked the doctor, who advised not to disturb Rudra too much and to let him rest. After some time, they left the room, and Rudra fell asleep again due to the medication."

"Aarohi went to the waiting hall and sat on a bench. She kept saying, 'Did he see me? Did he really see me?'

Then Jiya approached and asked, 'Who saw you? whom are you talking about?'

Aarohi replied, 'no one ,' but this time Jiya insisted on hearing only the truth from Aarohi's mouth. So Aarohi said, 'Okay, if you are insisting, I'll tell you.'"

"And then Aarohi told Jiya, 'Me and your so-called cricketer Rudra Sinha used to be a couple 5 years ago.'

This shocked Jiya, and she said, 'Are you serious, or are you joking with me?'

Aarohi replied, 'If you don't believe me, then let it go.' But Jiya insisted, 'Okay, okay. Tell me the full story.'

Aarohi recounted everything that happened in Kota.

Jiya exclaimed, 'Really? You dated Rudra Sinha?'

Aarohi replied, 'Don't associate my name with him anymore. It was just the past. Now we are nothing. That's all.'

Jiya questioned, 'Didn't his family come today? What if they recognize you?' Aarohi responded, 'I talked to her mother and sister, but I don't think they will recognize me as I never met them.' Jiya said, 'Oh, okay, but I really don't believe this. I mean, yaar, how can he do this? He's such a player in real life and in his professional life.'

Jiya said sarcastically, but Aarohi just gave her a rude look. Jiya added, 'Okay, okay. No more jokes about your personal life.'"
