RUDRA'S POV

"What? What did she say? Before I could ask her, what did she mean when she said that? She just became... She slept, putting her head on my chest, and I held her from falling.

I really don't know what to do with this because I am confused about whatever she said to me. I really don't know where to take her. I don't know her address .

After thinking for a minute, I just thought that finally, if I really don't want to but I have to take her with me to my place. So, she was asleep, not waking up. I tried. Of course, because of the alcohol, she was unconscious.

So, I just picked her up in my arms and tried to move towards my car. As I was going towards my car, it started raining. I tried to move fast, but I was holding her. I didn't run holding her in my arms, so we both got wet in the rain.

"When I made her sit on the seat, I put the seatbelt on her, and I sat in the driver's seat. I looked at her from top to bottom and then realized she was wearing a white dress. Because of the rain, it had become somewhat translucent. So, I just put my jacket on her. The dress she was wearing was almost 2 inches above her knees, a long, baggy dress. I don't think she used to like these dresses, or maybe I just didn't know her well. I don't know when she started wearing this."

I started driving. I took her to my place. When I reached my place, again I held her in my arms and went to my room. She was all wet. I can't just leave her to sleep on the sofa all night in these wet clothes.

"Before sleeping, I went to the room where she was resting. I checked on her and I found myself... captivated. I couldn't help but stare at her as she slept so peacefully, like a baby in a cradle. Her innocence still radiated, and there was a gentle glow on her face. As I watched her, I realized how beautiful she looked, sleeping as if she were in the midst of a sweet dream, and in that moment, I felt a sense of tranquility wash over me."

"When I returned to the hall, I sat on the sofa, trying to process everything she had said.

As for the events of the last day, five years ago , I don't recall much about that night. The only memory that stands out is being at the party with Aarohi. We were chatting, but then she left to join her friends. I mentioned to her that I had to show her something after the party, and we agreed to meet later.

However, Teju escorted me to my room where a few other friends were gathered, and someone brought out bottles of alcohol. I declined, knowing I had plans to meet Aarohi, and I didn't want her to be upset if she found out I had been drinking. Despite my protests, Teju insisted, and I ended up drinking. When Aarohi arrived and saw me, she was furious and left. I tried to explain, but she wouldn't listen. Eventually, Myra intervened, suggesting I speak to Aarohi in the morning when she had calmed down. We then returned to my flat"

"And when we came to my room, there were more people in it, as if the party had shifted from the terrace to my flat. Priya was there, Myra was there, Teju and some friends, Sanjana and her friends-there were a lot of them, many of whom I didn't even know, or maybe I don't remember them right now.

I was upset that Aarohi wasn't answering my calls. I went to the balcony, trying to call her, messaging her, but she wasn't responding. Then Myra came and took me inside, and someone brought more alcohol. I drank heavily, to the point of losing consciousness.

After that, I don't know, I don't remember clearly. The only thing I recall is trying to call Aarohi, finding her phone switched off. I was sitting again on the balcony, just messaging her, or maybe someone was there, I'm not entirely certain"

"Did something really happen that night? Did she really see me with someone I can't remember? Who could it be? As far as I know, I was with Myra. And it can't be Myra.

Even Myra and Teju didn't mention anything. What if it's true? Is that why she left? Did I have a reason to be upset with her back then? Do I still have a reason to be upset with her now, since she never talked to me about it or gave me a chance to explain before leaving?"

AAROHI'S POV

"My phone alarm went off at 5 am, which is my usual wake-up time. I got up, turned it off, and then it hit me-I wasn't in my own room. I tried to figure out where I was, but I didn't recognize the room. I racked my brain trying to remember how I got here.

Oh no, I remember. I called Rude. He came to pick me up. I was yelling and saying nonsense to him. And then I can't remember anything after that.

Maybe this is his place. Am I really at his house? I tried to get up and realized I was only wearing a shirt that barely reached my knees. It's a loose, black shirt. Besides that, I'm not wearing anything else.

What happened last night? Did something happen? Did he do something to me? I'll be furious if what I'm thinking is true.

I looked for my clothes but couldn't find them anywhere. I slowly got up, trying to pull the shirt down to cover me better. That's silly.

I opened the door and saw Rudra sleeping on the sofa in the living room, hugging a pillow. I walked over to him.

"When I now understand that how I came here, he took me here, I then realize, did he really... Why is he sleeping here, like nothing happened last night, because as far as I remember, he is still wearing the same clothes from last night.

But how did my clothes get changed, what if he did something and then came here, oh no, no, no, I am just overthinking, please God, just...

I was trying to move away from him, he held my hand and pushed me towards him, I was over him, but thankfully the pillow was between us.

And he said, 'What were you doing?' 'Nothing,' I replied, I tried to back off, but he just held me.

I said, 'Leave me, let me go.' He didn't say anything, he was just looking at me.

Frustrated, I asked him, 'What did you do to me last night? What happened last night, did you really do something to me?'

He smirked and said, 'I didn't do anything, I just did one thing, you know.

I pushed him and got up.' I said, 'What do you mean by one thing?'

He put his pillow aside and sat on the sofa casually and said, 'Don't you remember anything?'

I slowly said, 'No.'

He came closer to me and then whispered in my ear, 'You were so hot last night,' and then he just went towards his room.

I was so shocked, what does he mean by saying that? 'I am going to kill him for sure, what can I expect from a man like him?'

I sat on the sofa, elbows on my knees and my head on my palm, and I was just thinking, why?

I really hate him. Then I heard someone opening the door from outside, as the door opened, there was a woman about in her 50s.

She entered the hall, closed the door, she came to me and asked me how I am feeling now?

I said, 'Good, do you know me?'

And she replied to me that she is a housemaid of Rudra and she came last night when Rudra called her .

she added that Rudra called her to come as soon as possible and as she came, Rudra asked her to change my clothes as my dress was all wet because it was raining yesterday and I was sleepy, unable to change on my own.

She ask me what I want to eat,' and I just said, 'I am not hungry.' But she said, she makes really good food, so I just replied, 'Whatever you want to.'

She went towards the kitchen as she was doing work. She asked me if my name is Aarohi, right? and I replied, 'Yes, how did you know?' and she tols me that Rudra was saying it last night, so she just remembered.

She told me , that her name is Sunita with a smile .

I smiled back.

"I sat on the sofa again, placing a pillow on my legs. Then I thought, he called her to change my clothes. I smiled, that means nothing happened last night, and he didn't change my clothes, that's good.

I realized I had to go to the hospital. I stood up and went towards the auntie, asking her, 'Where are my clothes?'

She replied, 'Maybe in the room.' I went to the room, opened the door, and saw Rudra standing in front of the mirror, just in his towel, trying to comb his hair. As I entered, he didn't turn back, he just said, 'What are you doing? Just leave.' I stepped back outside. I sat on the sofa again, waiting for him to come out so I could get my clothes.

After about 5 minutes, he emerged and went towards the kitchen, talking to the auntie."

"I left them and entered the room. I saw that my clothes were all dried up, so I changed them.

I took my phone, purse, and came outside. I looked towards them. Rudra was sitting at the dining table, which is just for two people.

I said bye to the auntie, but she insisted I have some breakfast. So, I sat in front of Rudra.

She made some poha, and as I ate it, it was really good, just as she said earlier.

she handed both of us a glass of juice. What was it made of? I really don't like juices.

She just placed it beside my plate and then said she was leaving.

So, I said bye to her, She told Rudra that she would be back in the afternoon for cleaning the house, as she had something to do right now. Then she left, and Rudra nodded his head.

"I was sitting in font of him , both are silent.

I attempted to catch his gaze. He wore a shirt, no longer opting for casual attire. He appeared entirely grown up, transformed. Despite having a beard, he had shaved it off completely.

His sleeves were rolled up, revealing his increased mass. Over the past five years, he had matured into a complete adult man. Five years ago, he was a skinny boy , constantly in casual attire, unkempt hair, though still handsome."

I turned my head in the round direction, observing the surroundings. It was truly beautiful, impeccably clean and well-decorated, with everything perfectly placed where it should be.

Is this his own place? But it doesn't seem like Rudra's. I mean, his place was always a mess."

My head felt heavy, maybe because of the alcohol consumption last night. I didn't know why I had it. I was putting my hand on my forehead when I saw him stand up.

He went towards the kitchen and was doing something there. I tried to finish my breakfast as soon as possible so I could leave from this place.

But when I was about to finish it, he came, took the juice, put it aside, and then handed me another glass.

I said, 'It's okay. I don't want to have it.' But he said, 'It will relieve your headache. Just have it. It's lemon water.'

I took it and drank it quickly. He was looking at me, smiling a little bit, like he was watching me finish and I was eager to finish the lemon juice. But he somehow controlled his smile.

I finished it along with my breakfast. I stood up, and when I was about to leave, he said, 'What did you mean by what you said last night?'

And I knew what I had said last night. That's the last memory I had from yesterday.

But I acted like I didn't remember it and said, 'What did I say?'

He asked, 'You don't remember it?' and I replied, 'No.'

He stood up, came close to me, and I walked backward. He was walking towards me, and then I hit the wall. Now I knew I couldn't move.

I tried to move aside, but he put his hand on that side. I couldn't move from either side.

Now I was standing between both of his hands, and he was standing in front of me.

He asked me again, 'What did you mean by that?' I turned my head down and said, 'I don't remember.'

He said, 'I know you remember everything before you fell asleep in my arms.'

Oh, that's embarrassing..

"I just didn't want to talk about it because time had passed, but the memories of it still hurt me.

I was trying to avoid him and said, 'Can we talk later? I have to go to the hospital; I'm running late.'

But he insisted, 'Just answer me first.'

Then my phone rang. I looked at the screen; it was Ravi calling.

I answered it, and he asked where I was. I replied, 'I'll be there.' Then I hung up the phone, told Rudra it was an emergency, and that I had to go.

He said, 'I'm letting you go this time because it's an emergency, but I'll come back to you.' He backed off, and I headed towards the main door, opened it, and left."
