“Knock knock”Jay was in deep sleep.“Knock knock”After hearing couple of knocks he woke up and looked towards the door, then he looked at his watch, it was 10:00 am.“Must be Mita,” he got up from the bed and went to open the door,“Jay, utho na, I am waiting for you,” Archana tried mimicking Mita’s sound.Jay was confused!!“What happened to Mita?” He stayed near the door.“Jay darling, why are you not opening the door?? Come fast. I am missing you!!” Archana gave hive five to Ritu and both started giggling.“Jay beta, something is fishy, that’s not Mita. I mean, she never speaks like that,” Jay was alert. Without making any sound he slowly opened the door.Archu and Ritu were about to make a sound to scare Jay. “Bhow” but they were shocked to see Jay standing calmly with folded hands.“Namaste,” Jay politely said.“Ohh no Jiju, what is this, we came here to prank you, but you made our plan flop,” Ritu was disappointed.“Ohh so you are my sister in laws. I am so sorry. I didn’t know you came here to prank me. Next time I will fully cooperate with you to make your plan success,”Both started laughing, “You are so funny jiju. Anyways, let me introduce myself first, I am Archana, Mita Di’s cousin, her Mama’s daughter,”“And I am your youngest sister-in-law, Ritu,”“I hope they didn’t bother you much Jay,” Mom came.“Not at all Mummy. As soon as he reached there he saw beautiful Mita, wearing yellow chudidar with bottle green border, having matching dupatta. Her long-wet hair she had tied loosely in a cluture. She was wearing golden zumkas. It suited her very well. Jay was feeling so pleasant after seeing smiley face of Mita.She was about to serve him but then Aaji stopped her,“Bala tu honari navari ahes. Kahi kaame karaychi nahit, Pori, (Dear child, you are not supposed to do any work,)” She turned to Mami,“Ho aaji, mi ahe na vadhayla, (Yeah Aaji, I am there to serve, don’t worry,)” Mami immediately came forward.“Huh, when Aaji told you, then you said that you will serve, you should be proactive,” Mama was teasing Mami.“Tu kashala tila sangatos? Tu Sudha swataha pudhakar gheun vadhale astes, hi kaame kay fakt baykannich karaychi? (Why are you telling her?? Even you could have taken initiative in serving food. Even men should do these along with women,)” Aaji scolded Mama.“hahahaha,” Mami was laughing.Rather everybody was laughing except Jay and Mita. Because they were lost in their own world, in their sign language, their eyes were speaking with each other.Mami served them breakfast, Upma, coconut chutney and masala tea. Archana, Ritu, Pihu joined them.“Hope you enjoyed breakfast Jay,” Mom.“Ofcourse mummy, now I got it, from where Mita has got her cooking skils. Upma- chutney was a delicious combination and masala tea was also too good, I am feeling super fresh!”“Yeah, Jiju, that is our Mom’s special tea – Amrutatulya Chaha,” Pihu.“Amrutatulya Chaha??” Jay.“It means tea just like Amrut, hehehe” Archana.“Wow, interesting!! But I loved it. Ok mummy, I need to leave, it is already 11 am. Amma Appa must be waiting for me,” Jay.“Yes Jay, you are right! But how will you go?? Just now your mama left otherwise he would have dropped you!”“Mumma, where is Papa? Bhaiyya?” Mita.“Papa is busy in picking and dropping other relatives and Bhaiyya also went out to buy some groceries sometime back,” Mom.“Ohh then how will Jiju go?” Pihu.“Ok, I will drop him, Scooty is there, right??” Mita.“What? You will drop him?” Mom.“Yeah mumma, so what? I drive well, isn’t it?” Mita.“Baal, tu baher jayache nasate, Navari ahes, udya lagn ahe tuze, (Beta, you are not supposed to go out, you are getting married tomorrow),” Aaji.“Aaji, kahi nahi hoat. Javalach tar ahe. Mi lagech yeyin (Aaji, nothing would happen, it is nearby)” Mita.“Ok, I will drive, Mita can show me the road,” Jay also wanted to grab the opportunity to enjoy ride with Mita.“No, I will drive,” Mita insisted.“Ata kase sangu ya porila?? (how should I tell her that she shouldn’t go out now)” Aaji.“Kalaji nako aaji, ashi gele ani ashi ale (Don’t worry aaji, here I go and come back)” Mita took her scooty out of their main gate, Jay sat behind her and both headed towards the hotel.
