FINDING HOME IN YOU
âbhabi.. He must be sleeping.. I'll manage in Roop's room, let's goâ Divya said and tried to drag Trisha, who's continuously knocking on Raunak's door.
âNo wayâ¦Â it's too much now. He is behaving like a kid, immature more than Roop.â
âRaunak, open the doorâ Trisha was hell angry at Raunak.
Raunak opened the door and looked between Divya and Trisha.
âWhat is this behaviour Raunak? First you left alone from there.. And now you are not opening your room?â
âIs anything serious bhabi?â Raunak asked, looking at Divya, who's eyes were gloomy.
âSeriously Raunak? Are you insane or what?â
âWhy what happened?â
âRaunak.. I'm so angry at you.. Please don't make me more angry and let Divya enter the roomâ
Divya looked down and played with her fingers.
Raunak gave a pointed look to Trisha and then when Trisha glared at him back he looked at his newly wed bride.
âWhy are you doing this to her?â
âWhat am I doing Bhabi? I didn't even touch her from then to now.. Did I hurt her anyhow?â Divya lifted her eyes and their eyes locked with each other.
Trisha sighed and held both of their hands.
Placing Divya's hand over Raunak's, she looked at them.
âRemember Raunak, she left everything behind just to stay with you. You have to respect her and her decision. I won't tolerate if you anyhow torture Divya, be it physically, mentally or emotionallyâ
âI'm not her caretaker bhabiâ
âYou're her husband. She fought with her brother for you, Raunak.â Trisha took deep breaths and pushed Divya inside the room, when Raunak stepped aside.
âGood night to both of youâ Trisha closed the door from outside and the couple looked at each other.
âWhy are you here?â Raunak asked dryly and Divya smiled sadly âI told you, I'll never leave your sideâ
Raunak shook his head and turned to go to the bed but Divya held his wrist, causing him to look at her and he found she was crying.
He knew it, he so knew it that at the end of the day she will be the one who's going to cry for everything.
Raunak looked aside not wanting to see her tears, as it'll move him from his goal.
âLook at me Raunak,â Divya said cupping his cheeks.
âWas all the love a lie?â
âHuh?â
Divya sucked on her lower lips and said again.
âThe loveâ¦Â your love for me was a lie?â
âWhat do you think?â Raunak asked to know what she was thinking about him.
âMy thoughts doesn't matter to me anymore. You tell, it's all a lie?â
âIt was all a lieâ
âJust to give my family pain you married me? You don't love me anymore?â Her voice broke at the end. Raunak jerked her hands from his face and turned his back at her.
âI've never loved you Divya. It was just a plan to give a scar to your family. They snatched everything from me, my mom, my family , everything. Even today Mimmi and Diti also took their side. They have caused me enough pain to return back them the favourâ
He turned towards her and held her arms to pull her close. âTrust me, your love for me made it easier to enter inside your house. I wanted to see them crying for the loss, the way I cried my whole childhood for my mother.â
âAre you satisfied watching them crying?â She struggled to get out from his hold but he pulled her body more close to his that their chest were touching.
âYes it's satisfying.â
âYou've changed Raunak. The Raunak I love never behaves like this.â More tears fell down from her eyes. Their eyes flickered between each other and Raunak leaned his face to her ear. Causing goosebumps all over her body. âTrust me Divyaâ¦Â you are going to see the changed Raunak changing moreâ
âLike the Raunak you loved was the guy who believed in sharing emotions is the love language. But this changed Raunak believed in sharing body is the love languageâ
Raunak knows well where to push the button and it did work. He wanted her to hate him, and for that he's ready to do everything.
Divya pushed her with a force and looked at him angrily.
âI was a fool at that time. But not now Mr. Raunak Rajvansh. If you're so adamant to hurt my family by causing me pain then let me tell you.. I'll do everything which is in my hand to show them that I'm happy. I'm the barrier between your rubbish revenge and my family. And about loveâ¦Â I hate you from now on. I loathe you Raunak. I hate youâ
She yelled at him and he looked angry.
âI hate you tooâ
Divya went inside the washroom. Closing the door she slided down on the floor and buried her face in between her knees.
While Raunak took a pillow and a duvet from the wardrobe then laid down on the couch. Leaving the bed for her.
He too cried silently for hurting her. His chest started paining because of all of this. He was never the person the way he behaved today.
âI can't hurt you Divya. I love you so much. Why did you come here? You should have gone back home.â He mumbled to himself and looked at the ceiling.
Divya took a shower and wrapped the towel coat around her frame then went straight inside the closet room. She looked at the closet and remembered the day before leaving for the hotel, she and Raunak decorated everything. They bought so many clothes for Divya and arranged the closet together.
She could see how they're laughing that day while arranging the dresses.
She smiled at the memory. She won't lose hope.
Wiping the tears she inhaled deeply and smiled.
Wearing the oversized T-shirt she came out from the closet and looked at the room.
She found he was already asleep on the couch.
So she went to the bed and lay down. Covering herself with the duvet she started counting numbers until sleep took over her.
~â¥~
At midnight Raunak opened his eyes and looked at her sleeping on the bed.
He got up from the couch and went to her. Sitting near her head he leaned down to kiss her temple.
âI am sorry. I'm sorry Diviâ Years fell down from his eyes to her cheeks and Divya shivered for a moment. Raunak's heart started beating in 2x speed fearing she might get up. But she didn't get up.
âI know you are hurt. I am sorry.â He kissed her cheeks and went into the bathroom.
He punched the washroom wall continuously while mumbling sorry and then slided down on the floor.
âI'm sorry Divya. I love you Divya. I love you so much. It's hurting me like hellâ He whispered to himself and rested his head on the wall, sitting under the shower for hours, until Divya knocked on the washroom door in the morning.
~â¥~
Divya opened her eyes and rubbed them. She looked at the room but didn't find him.
âWhere did he go?â She picked her phone from the night stand and found so many messages from her family.
âAre you okay? Did he hurt you?â Abhi bhaiya
âDivi, do call me whenever you get free time.â
âWe're heading back to the Villaâ
Rooh baby
âAre you, fine princess?â Papa
âDivyaâ¦Â I'm so worried, please answer, are you okay? Did he treat you well?â mumma
âI'm sorry princess. I know I made a mistake by not believing Abhimaan, please forgive your bade papa. And take care of yourself.â Bade papa.
âDivya di, Raunak bhai is good, trust me. He will never hurt you. He loves you so much. Please take care of yourselfâ Ishuuuu.
âHey Divya.. Good morning sissy.. I know it's not what we all expected. But trust me everything will be okay within a few days. You just don't lose hope. Love youâ Hiya di.
She replied to everyone's messages one by one and tears rolled down from her eyes.
âI'm missing you all so muchâ She said, closing her eyes and clutched the phone close to her heart.
After consoling herself she took deep breaths and wiped her cheeks.
âI should freshen upâ
When she reached near the washroom door she found it was unlocked from outside. That means Raunak was inside so she knocked but got no response.
âRaunak are you inside?â Again she got nothing.
âRaunak, I need to take a shower. If you're done please come outâ She was confused. Because at first he left the door unlocked and second he wasn't even responding.
âRaunak⦠are you okay?â That's when fears enveloped her heart and she left the dress and towel on the floor before entering inside.
When she entered she couldn't find him at first but later her eyes went to the separate glass chamber to take a shower and there he was sitting on the floor, underneath the shower, with closed eyes and head resting on the wall.
âRaunakâ Gasping at the sight, she went inside the glass chamber and touched his shoulder.
âYou're burningâ She whispered and sat down to his level after turning off the shower tap.
âAre you okay?â She asked, cupping his cheeks in between her palms. That's when Raunak came to his senses and pushed her a little. He got up to leave but Divya held his wrist and forcefully made him look at her.
âYou're burning Raunak. What're you doing?â She tried to ask as calmly as possible. And in return Raunak just glared at her and tried to free his hand from her hold. but she tightened her grip more with another one and looked back at him with the same glare.
âDivya let go of me.â He said gritting his teeth.
âNo.you listen to me. You have gone mad Raunak. For God 's sake don't push yourself to the lowest while hurting us.â
âWhy did you come with bhai, bhabi? Huh?â He held her arms and pulled her close. Wetting her tee too.
âBecause I love you. I promised you that I'll never leave you. Be it on your good days Or your lowestâ Their eyes were locked with each other and Raunak felt himself drowning in the ocean of her eyes. Before he would act any nonsense, he moved his face to the other side and left her arms.
Divya palmed his cheeks, turning his face to her and smiled sadly.
âDon't hurt yourself for us. If you just want to take revenge from my family. Just do it by punishing me, hurting me. Don't hurt yourself. Because it caused pain to me moreâ
He gulped but didn't say anything. Sighing, Divya took the towel coat from the hanger and handed it to him.
âI'm giving you only fifteen minutes, come out soonâ She left the washroom and he stood there, confused, surprised and what not.
He wanted her to hate him. But here she was still caring for him. It'll be tough for him to leave her in the end. As soon as Divya's family confesses their sins, he will leave Divya for her good. Because staying with him will only cause her pain.
~â¥~
After exactly fifteen minutes Raunak came out from the washroom, wearing a simple tee and sweatpants. He looked around the room and found his newlywed wife was doing something sitting on the bed.
Divya raised her face and their eyes. He noticed she had also changed into a beautiful lavender colour saree. Her hair was wet, as little droplets were still visible at the end. Also her neck was wet. Indicating she has just taken a bath. She might have taken the bath from the other washroom. He gulped averting his gaze from her to the couch side. It was neat and clean, not like he left at midnight.
âYou're done. Now come hereâ She asked him and he followed. He followed her orders like an obedient child. He doesn't want to follow her orders, but his heart betrayed him.
When he reached near her, she pushed him on the bed mattress. And he glared at her âwhat the fuâ¦â Divya didn't let him complete and put her finger over his lips.
âShhhâ¦Â you're burning in fever. So don't waste your little bit of energy on me.
âWhat are you doing Divya?â He asked when she picked the thermometer from the first aid box and silenced him by putting the thermometer into his mouth.
âTaking care of my one day old husband . Who forgot that I'm his wife now.â She smiled and was turning back but he held her wrist and pulled her close.
He landed on his chest, causing both of them to land on the bed and he switched the position after removing the thermometer from his mouth.
âWhy are you doing this?â
âI'm doing what Raunak?â
He pinned her arms over her head and leaned his face dangerously close to her.
âYou know right, that I hate you. Then why are you behaving like everything is normal between us?â
âDo you really hate me?â She asked with a broken voice and he smirked.
He leaned down his lips to her neck and bit hard.
âRaunakâ Divya hissed in painâ¦Â at the stinging sensation on her skin as he bit her really hard.
âI really hate you Divya Suryavanshiâ He looked at her struggling to get out from his hold. And tears fell down from her eyes.
âI hate you too.. You've become a monster. You're not the Raunak I loved. I hate youâ She said, moving her face aside as she cried hard.
And he left her , getting up. âGo back to your home ladyâ Saying he left the room leaving a crying Divya.
~â¥~
âWelcome backâ Maheen hugged Heer, after Samaira did the aarti of Heer and Aditya as they stepped inside the villa after 26 long years.
âDramaâ Ayaan mumbled and walked past them. Heer looked at his retreating figures and then at her husband. Who shook his head, asking her not to cry.
âBadi maaâ¦Â let's welcome Rehana di and Abhi bhaiya tooâ Ishani said and Samaira nodded her head. But Heer stopped her.
Everyone looked at Heer, then she spoke.
âCan i?â She asked pointing at the Aarti thali and Samaira passed her.
Abhimaan and Rehana smiled at her then Heer started the aarti.
Ishani and Hiya placed the kalas and the milk-mahvaar mixture on the floor. And Rehana did what she was told one by one.
âLet's do the ring ritual too Bhabiâ Samaira's face was gloomy as Divya didn't reply back to her from dawn.
Maheen noticed the gloomy face and was going to call Divya when Divya herself called them over video call.
âIt's Divyaâ
âHey guys good morningâ She chirped with happiness, looking at her family, as they stood together to talk with her.
âAll the rituals done?â She asked further when no one said anything.
âHow are you Divya?â Samaira asked and Divya nodded her head.
âI'm fine mumma.â
âAre you really a fine princess?â Dev asked with teary eyes.
âPapa, don't cry please. I'm okay and everything will be okay soon. Please don't worry about meâ
âWhy didn't you reply back to us?â Rehana asked and showed Divya her big eyes.
âWhoa my tigress, I was sleeping at that time. And I replied to all of you. Go and check your phones.â She rolled her eyes to which everyone laughed.
âDid you have breakfast?â maheen asked
âYes badi mummaâ¦Â I did.â She replied and when her eyes went to her big brother she called him softly âbhaiya.. â
âI'll come today and will bring you backâ
âBhaiya.. Pleaseâ
âNoâ¦Â no please. I'll come to bring you. I don't trust that husband of yoursâ
âHe didn't treat me bad bhaiya pleaseâ She begged with pleading eyes and Abhimaan signed hard.
âOkay take care of all of you. I'm hanging up. Because bhabi might need me. Bye. Love you allâ She cut the call.
âI told you.. He is not that badâ Hiya whispered into Vihaan's ears who nodded his head. But was still unsure of that man.
âLet's do the ritualâ Hiya said getting everyone's attention.
Abhimaan and Rehana saf against each other, and in the middle of them there was a big pot filled with milk, rose petals and some fragrances.
Samaira put a ring inside the pot. And they started the countdown when Abhimaan and Rehana dipped their right hands inside the pot.
They smiled looking at each other and concentrated on finding the ring.
âBhaiya bhaiyaâ Hiya clapped, nudging Ishani with her elbow, asking her to encourage the couple.
âNoâ¦Â Rehana di, Rehana di '' Ishani rooted back.
Abhimaan found the ring at first but he pushed it towards her palm and she looked at him, raising her eyes.
He nodded his head but she shook as negatively. He glared but she still shook her head and pushed back the ring towards his palm.
âWhat are you two doing?â Heer asked, scrunching her brows and Abhimaan lifted up his arms.
âI'm done.. It's so boring. I can't find the ringâ¦Â hashhâ he acted and Rehana rolled her eyes.
âRehana? You got the ring?â Maheen asked and Rehana nodded her head, looking at Abhimaan, who smiled and looked aside to his family.
âYayyyâ¦Â Rehana di wonâ Ishani clapped and hugged Rehana from behind when she showed them the ring.
âAbhimaan, make her wear the ringâ Samaira said and Abhimaan nodded his head. Rehana handed him the ring and he slided it down in the ring finger of her right palm. As her left - ring finger has their engagement ring.
~â¥~
âVihaan can we stay here for some days?â Hiya hugged Vihaan, from behind. Kept her head on his back and smiled, when he held her hands, pulling her at the front.
âYou want to spend some time with your parents?â
âYesâ
He smiled looking at her pout and pecked them before speaking âokayâ¦Â you stay here .. Until you wantâ
âAnd what about you?â
âMe? I'm going back to my house at the eveningâ
âWhy? Please stay with me naâ
âI need to rejoin college baby..â He cupped her cheeks and pecked her forehead and she nodded her head sadly.
âHey.. Please don't make this sad face Hiyaâ¦â
âNo.. It's okay.. I'll come soonâ She kissed his cheeks and he hugged her.
âI love youâ she mumbled kissing his heart and he kissed her hairs replying âI love you moreâ
~â¥~
âI don't want to go down right now Abhi pleaseâ Rehana hid her face with the comforter and Abhimaan sighed.
âOkayâ¦Â you rest here.. I'll bring your breakfastâ
After some moments Abhimaan came back to their room with a breakfast tray and brought the centre table close to the bed.
He called Rehana and she peeked through the comforter.
âHere your breakfastâ
âAnd?â
âAnd ummm ice creamâ
Rehana got up with joy and Abhimaan chuckled. Pulling her on his lap, he kisses her face and she adored his face with a smile.
âI love youâ
âI love you moreâ she said palming his cheeks but he shook his head and kissed her palms.
âNoâ¦Â I love you mostâ
âI love you mostestâ
âI love you to the infinityâ
Rahana opened and closed her mouth but not finding any more word she hit his arms lightly and he chuckled at her annoying face.
âYou always wonâ
âBecause I won at lifeâ
She smiled and hugged his neck.
âFinallyâ
âYes finally we're togetherâ
~â¥~
âAyaanâ When Ishani entered inside Ayaan's room after changing herself into something comfortable, she found Ayaan was packing bags.
âAyaan are you going somewhere?â
âYes..â
âOhh.. Where?â
Ayaan hugged Ishani and she hugged him back.
âYou love me right?â
âIs this even a question to ask? Of course I love you Ayaan. I love you so muchâ
âThenâ¦Â will you support me if I do something?â
âI'm always with you Ayaanâ
They broke the hug and Ayaan held her hands. kissing the back of her palms he took deep breaths closing his eyes before looking at her.
âWe're leaving this houseâ
âWhat?â
âYesâ¦Â I know it's shocking for you. But trust me it'll be best for us. I don't want to live with the duo. But I can't tell them to leave the house either. Because before me it's their house. So it's better if I leave themâ
âIt'll be okay right Ayaanâ Ishani was unsure.. That is if it's right or not.
âIt'll be okay. Trust meâ He joined their foreheads and she smiled sadly.
âOkay.. I'm ready to go with youâ She said and Ayaan hugged her. He only needed her, nothing else, no one else
While Ishani promised herself that she will bring Ayaan back to home at any cost. She can't see anyone suffering.
Hope this chapter is okay.
