At a cornerâ¦
Fu Huihui had just regained her composure while Xu Tingting was still flustered. âWe have a problem, Huihui⦠Everyoneâs trying to reorganize the rankings of the prettiest girls in school on the school forum page. Most of them are voting for Fu Ting, and her votes have exceeded yours by a few hundred!â
Just like that, the chopsticks in Fu Huihuiâs grip broke from the force she exerted. She was in so much resentment that her gritted teeth might shatter.
âThe little b*tch Fu Ting only knows how to act cute to seduce others. So shameless.â Xu Tingting then comforted her as she added, âHuihui, donât you worry; she canât take away the âprettiest girlâ title. You were ranked as the first five and was dubbed âThe Goddess of Best Studentsâ. Even the prettiest girl in school had to be a well-rounded person in terms of morality and physicality. Itâs pointless if she only had the looks.â
Fu Huihui mellowed down as she heard Xu Tingtingâs flattering words, and her self-confidence slowly came back. âSome dumb village girl is nothing to worry about,â Fu Huihui sneered. âShe degraded my status for nothing.â
Fu Huihui seized the opportunity to add fuel to the fire. âFu Pei really is blind for liking such a fool. Itâs a shame, Tingting, really. Itâs better if Fu Ting is out of the picture, as Fu Pei will adore you instead.â
Xu Tingting resented that as well, yet Fu Pei ignored her. There was nothing she could do about it.
Fu Huihui played with her hair and her eyes were like a hidden venomous snake. âAnyway, is there something wrong with Fu Tingâs brain?â she hinted deliberately. âIf she gets kicked out of Class One and becomes a joke, do you think Fu Pei will still lay eyes on her?â
Xu Tingting came from a family with a much wealthier background than Fu Huihui. Her family operated as a listed company, after all. Fu Huihui would not be able to get rid of Fu Ting on her own.
Plus, Fu Ting had Fu familyâs recording in her hands so she could not act with abandon.
She could get a scapegoat.
As expected, Xu Tingtingâs eyes flashed with a scheme.n/o/vel/b//in dot c//om
â¦
The first period in the afternoon was the class teacherâs subject, and she taught English.
The class teacher was infamous for being excessively fierce during her class that no one dared to daydream.
As they opened their books, they could hear the class teacher yell, âFu Ting, please stand up and recite the words from the second row on page thirty-five.â
Fu Ting stood up obediently as she held her book in her hands, prepared to recite.
âNever mind, you donât have to do it anymore.â The class teacher looked annoyed as she glared pointedly at Fu Ting through her glasses. âI almost forgot that youâre from the countryside,â she disdainfully added. âI bet you havenât finished high school and donât even remember the English alphabets.â
Fu Ting knitted her brows in doubt as she looked up. âI havenât even recited anything,â she gently commented. âHow would you know that I donât remember?â
Su Luoshuiâs thin and slender fingers tapped on the desk. âTeacher, your moral standpoint has to be corrected if youâre discriminating against your student like that publicly.â
The class teacher knew of Su Luoshuiâs strong background and thus did not know what to reply to her.
Xu Tingting covered her smirk as she chimed in, âYouâre not wrong, Teacher. Fu Ting is a fool; she keeps on following Fu Pei and calls him her father. Donât you think sheâs mental?â
The class teacher pushed up her glasses with a mean expression. âIndeed. Now is the most critical period for your coming examination. As the member of Class One, we canât allow such a cretin who randomly calls people their father and affects the entire classâ performance. Iâll let the school know about it and have Fu Ting study in junior high again in case she affects this outstanding class.â
Fu Ting felt distressed; she could not leave Class One. How could she take care of her father then?
Bang!
A book flew from the back row and slammed onto the front desk. It startled the class teacher.
Fu Pei supported himself from the table and stood up. His dark eyes seemed arrogant, fierce, and nonchalant altogether.
He raised his hands and rubbed on his ears as he irritably intervened, âTeacher, if youâre using the time to teach to talk about nonsense instead, Iâll report on you.â
The flabbergasted class teacher was infuriated. âSuch mutiny. I suppose itâs true that people who mingled with the useless pile of crap that is Fu Pei are all the same. Now, get out of Class 1!â
Fu Tingâs usual adorable face instantly darkened.
She was a girl who possessed a good temperament was not one to be easily provoked. Should her father be involved, however, that docility of hers would fly out the window.
The class teacher was intimidated by Fu Tingâs piercing look and apprehensively barked, âHow dare you glare at me?â
âIf my results turned out to be good, do I get to stay?â
Fu Ting lowered her eyes and remained a quiet and obedient look, but it was nonetheless intimidating.
