Chapter 10- Whoop Whoop, Party time! Not.
Loving The Bad Boy
Chapter 10- Whoop Whoop, Party time! Not.
-Emma-
Iâm gonna murder Amy. I never agreed to this damn party! But when I saw the grin on Derekâs face I couldnât say no. So here I am now with Amy, my so called best friend in her room, getting ready for a party I didnât even want to go to. I called my mom letting her know Iâll be staying at Amyâs for the night, so I got that covered. Amy can be so damn frustrating.
âWhat are you gonna wear?â Amy asked as she tumbles through her closet.
âJeans and a shirt?â I question and she turned around to scold at me.
âNoâ She said sternly. âHow about a dress?â She said sending a smirk in my direction. No way, No freaking way. Amy knows how much I hate wearing dresses, I only wear dresses when itâs necessary and this is not a necessary situation.
âNo.â I stated.
âPlease Em!â She begged giving me the puppy dog eyes as she turned away from her monster closet to face me.
Iâm not gonna cave.
âEmmy.â she pleaded moving closer as her eyes get wider.
No way in hell! Donât cave Em.
âPleaseâ she pleaded sticking out her bottom lip in a pout.
Donât you dar-
âFINE! Iâll wear a damn dress.â I muttered at her. Way to go Emma. Hey! In my defense she knows those puppy dog eyes are my weakness. Man I need learn how to resist those eyes.
âYes! Iâm gonna make you look amazing!â She said tackling me with a hug that makes us fall back onto her bed with an âompfâ. Despite Amy being a slim girl, when she falls on you it still hurts.
âAmy get off of me, your heavy!â I said glowering at her. She chuckled and moved off of me.
âLetâs get startedâ she said grinning.
Oh this is gonna be fun.
~~~
âYou look hot!â Amy exclaimed as I rolled my eyes at her. I glance into the mirror and I was shocked, the girl staring back at me didnât look like me. My dark brown hair fell to my mid back in perfect curls, my make up wasnât caked on like other girls instead it was light and look natural. Amy did a smoky eye effect with my green eyes making them much brighter. My outfit, even though I didnât want to wear dress looked great. Amy made me wear a strapless black dress that fell mid thigh and hugged my curves, she paired it with a light colored jean jacket and a gray scarf.
âI did good didnât I?â she said smirking at me, she was wearing tight black jeans with purple ruffled tank top and a black cardigan.
I glared at her. âWhy couldnât I wear what youâre wearing?â
âBecause I knew this was the only way I could get you in a dress, you never wear dresses and I do. So we switched.â She said smiling in satisfaction. âNow you have to wear theses.â She pulled out a pair of high heels. This is where I draw the line! I am not wearing heels. No. Freaking. Way.
âNot a chance in hell.â I grabbed my converses and pulled them on. âAt least let me add a touch of me in it.â
She glowered at me but shrugged it off pulling on the heels she picked out for me onto her feet. âReady to go?â she questioned.
âReady then Iâll ever be.â I answered. Grabbing my phone I followed Amy downstairs.
âWhoa you look hot and great touch with those converses.â I heard a deep voice commented as Amy and I were making our way towards the front door, I turned around to see Amyâs older brother, Nick checking me out. Now Nick is hot, not as hot as Aiden, but still hot. He has dark blonde hair and blue eyes. Nick is muscular but lean at the same time and at least 6â2. Over all heâs one piece of hot guy. Nick is three years older than Amy and I, so that makes him in his second year of college, Iâve known him as long as Iâve known Amy and thatâs saying something. If you know Nick as long as I have, you tend to learn something about him and what Iâve learn is that Nick Johnson is huge flirt. So when he flirts with me and I turn his little game around and flirt with him, just like now.
âWhy thank you. You donât look so bad yourself, Nicky.â I said smirking sending a wink in his direction causing a blush to rise on his neck. He looks a bit flustered but brushes it off and places a smirk on his face and steps closer to me.
âNow what did I tell you about calling me that name.â He said, he was so close I could smell his cologne.
I look up at him, not even fazed by him being so close. âOh nothing, just that you donât like it, but I like the name, Nicky.âHe glared at me and I do the same for a minute or two before we both burst out laughing.
âOh man, I missed you Emmy.â He said pulling me into his arms for a hug which I gladly returned after we stopped laughing.
âI missed you too Nicky. I barely see you anymore.â I said pouting like a child who did get the toy they wanted. Now I bet your wondering what the hell just happened, but Nick and I are best friends. Just like Amy and me, except heâs my guy best friend. We flirt but its harmless fun. I use to have a crush on him but that faded eventually.
âI know, I have to make time for you Emmy. Itâs just that college has been taking up my time, but I promise Iâll set aside a day just for me and you.â He said smiling. That causes a grin to spring to my face.
âThat sounds awesome Nick, canât wait.â
âNow if you guys are done, we have somewhere to be.â Amy said impatiently. I rolled my eyes at her.
âOh yeah, where are you guys going all dressed up?â Nick questioned.
âTo a party.â Amy answered.
âTo a party? On a Tuesday night?â Nick asked suspiciously.
I nodded. âYeah, one of the soccer players at our school is throwing it and Amy is dragging me along.â I said as I scowl replace the smile on my face.
He laughs at my expression. âWell you guys have fun.â He said turning around walking to the kitchen.
âOh I highly doubt thatâ I muttered under my breath as Amy and I exit the house making our way to her car.
This is gonna be so fun. Not.
Ten minutes later Amy was pulling up in front of the house that held the party. Cars were lined up at the curb, drunken people were stumbling out the house and the stench of beer scented the yard. Amy and I walked into the house and saw people dancing, grinding to be exact, which to me is not even dancing and drinking. They look like theyâre having fun. I felt a nudge at my side and look at Amy.
âLetâs go get a drink.â Amy yelled over the music. I nodded and followed her to the kitchen. âBeer or soda?â She asked and I gave her an âAre-you-kiddingâ look that caused her to smirk. She handed me a soda while she took one herself.
âWhy not a beer?â I voice whispered into my ear. Startled I whipped around to find Derek smirking at me. I smack his arm hard.
âDonât scare me like that!â I glared at him and he just chuckled.
âYou guys just got here?â he asked Amy and me. We nodded in unison. âCome hang out with us.â
âUs?â I questioned.
âYeah, me, Aiden and Matt.â Amy snorted when she heard Mattâs name. I turned to her. Huh I wonder what thatâs all about?
âOh, uh I donât kn-âI was interrupted by Amy. âWe love to.â She said with a smirk on her lips. Okay then.
âGreatâ Derek said with a smile and grabs my hand as I grabbed Amyâs hand. He led us through the crowd until a black leather jacket caught my eye. I look up to see Aiden leaning against the wall sipping on a beer while a red haired girl tries to get his attention. He looked up staring into my eyes until he looked down at my hand holding Derekâs and turned away averting his attention to the red haired girl. Whatâs wrong with him? My heart cracked a bit when I saw his expression but I shook it off.
For most of the night Derek, Amy and me chatted even Matt joined in, Amy wasnât too happy about that, I wonder why. Matt isnât that bad once you get to know him, heâs pretty funny actually. I even saw Amy cracked a smile at one of his jokes, but covered it up. I was actually having fun even though I was against coming. Aiden never joined into our conversation, he basically kept to himself and flirted with girls that came up to him. I tried to ignore him but I found it hard to do that. I would glance over to him every five minutes or so.
âWanna dance?â Derek asked with a smile.
âUh, um.â I stammered out. Derek chuckled and grabbed my hand.
âCome on, one dance.â He said pulling me towards the dance floor.
I sighed and smiled âFine one dance.â He placed his hands on my hips as a fast beat song blasted through the speakers. I moved my hips to the rhythm of the song, all thoughts of Aiden faded as I danced with Derek.
âWho knew you can dance?â He said winking at me and I blushed.
âEh, I had some practice. â I smirked at him as he twirled me around. He spins me out to the crowd but I lost his grip and came in contact with a hard chest causing me to stumble backwards, a strong arm wrapped around my waist to steady me.
âOh, sorry!â I apologize. I looked up and was met with a pair of hazel eyes. Aiden.
âYou should definitely watch where youâre going sweetheart.â He said smirking at me. âThis is the second time youâve crash into me. By the way someone is look hot.â I rolled my eyes at him as my cheeks warm up but I brush off his comment.
âIt speaks!â I exclaimed in fake enthusiasm. I saw a smile tugging at his lips. âAnd here I thought you were ignoring me.â
He put a hand to his chest in mock hurt. âMe ignore you? Neverâ I giggled at his words. âNow wanna tell me why you werenât in school today?â How did he know?
âWe had a project to work on, remember?â Oh yeah. Makes more sense now.
âUh, um.â I stammered. Should I tell him I was with Derek? I mean if he notices I wasnât there he must have notice that Derek wasnât there. âI-I was with Derek.â A scowl made its way onto his face.
âWhy?â he questioned as his hazel eyes grew darker. I canât tell him about Ashleyâs threat. Come on Em think of something.
âI, um, I wasnât feeling well so Derek helped me out, He thought a bit of fresh air would help so he took me out.â I said hoping he would buy it. âSorry about the project.â
He looked at me suspiciously but brushed it off and sighed. âOkay I was just a bit worried.â Worried? Aiden Black, worried about me?
âOh, Mr. Bad Boy worried about me?â I teased him.
He scoffed âNo, I was worried that my grade would drop because of you and your lack of dedication to this project.â I narrowed my eyes at him. âAnd I prefer Mr. Bad Ass.â
âEmma!â a voice called, I turned around to see Derek making his way through the crowd to us. âSorry I lost you back there.â
I smiled at him âIts fine Derek.â He grinned back at me and turned to Aiden.
âOh, Hey man.â Derek greeted Aiden.
âHey dude.â Aiden greeted back.
âYou seem in a better moodâ Derek said smirking at him.
âYeah, something like that.â Aiden responded sending a wink at me causing my cheeks to warm up.
âHey guys.â Matt came up. âWhy did you leave me with Satanâs spawn?â He said pointing to Amy who was glaring at him. His statement causes us to chuckle.
âHey! Why donât you just shove it dickhead?â And the bickering continued as the rest of us talked and laughed and danced for the rest of the night. Aiden is actually a pretty good dancer along with Derek and Matt. Huh, who know the bad boys could dance? Iâm actually glad I came to this party, even though Amy forced me and itâs on a Tuesday night. I mean who has a party on a Tuesday night? Despite having to go to school the next day, I was still enjoying myself. If you were to tell me a week ago I would be partying with the Aiden Black and his friends I would have laughed in your face.
âWell well look at the boys having fun.â A deep voice bellowed, it cause all of us to freeze and turn towards the voice. The guy standing before us has short black hair that is spiked up and icy blue eyes that pierce into your soul, his face was angular and his jaw clench. He was lean and tall and if he wasnât giving off the scary vibe I would find him hot.
Aiden, Derek and Matt stepped forward pushing Amy and me behind them for protection. Protection? From what? My thoughts exactly.
Aiden stepped forward closer to this guy crossing his arms over his chest causing him to give off a menacing vibe. Now I can see why people are scared of him. âWhy the hell are you here?â Aiden growled out with anger and hatred laced in his voice. By this time the music stop and peopleâs attention was directed to the scene before them.
âA guy canât go to a party without being questioned? Iâm just here to have fun.â The mystery guy said with a mocking smirk on his face.
âGet the hell out of here, Mark.â Aiden spat out. Why so much hatred?
âOh, but thatâs no fun.â Mark faked pouted, but it soon turned into a smirk. âYou know she doesnât even miss you. Not one bit. Not when she has me.â Who is he talking about?
This causes Aiden to snap. âYou fucking asshole.â He was about to lunged at him but Derek and Matt grabbed his arms to hold him back. Derek was whispering something to Aiden will Matt dealt with Mark.
âGet the hell out of here if you want to leave in one piece.â Matt spat out, I could see it took him a lot to keep calm.
Mark held his hands up in surrender with a smirk plastered onto his face. âFine Iâm leaving.â With that he turned around a walked out the house. The music started back up and people went back to whatever they were doing before. Aiden turned around and came face to face with me. His face softens for second, but went to a blank state.
âUh, sorry Emma, but I need to go.â With that he leaves me, walking straight out the door not looking back. My mind was racing with thoughts as I watch him leave.
Who was that guy?
Why were the guys so protective?
Why did Aiden snap?
And who the hell was the girl that Mark guy was talking about?
