Chapter 12- Weekend Fun with the Bad Boys

Loving The Bad Boy

Chapter 12-Weekend Fun with the Bad Boys

-Emma-

The week passed rather quickly and the next thing I knew it was Friday. Aiden and I have been working on the project at his house during the week and we've made progress. If you don't count me smacking Aiden over the head countless to get back to work every time he slacks off, then yeah we've made some progress. Speaking of Aiden, something had changed in him from our talk the day after the party. He seems more, well how should I put, he seems more open and friendly? Yup that's it! Aiden Black seems to be friendlier than before. Shocker right? I know I feel the same, maybe it's something he drank or something he ate because he is not known for being friendly. I was so tempted to ask him what was wrong with him but I decided against it because I don't want him to turn cold and mean yet again. It's just I can't figure out why he's more opened up towards me, I just shrugged it off for now.

Back to reality, Derek and I were walking out the lunch room to the court yard where we meet the rest of the group. I know it's quite shocking right? Me, Emma Marie Miller having lunch with the bad asses of the school? Even I'm surprise. Don't think I ditched my best friend, I'm not that mean. Amy meets the rest of us in the court yard after class since we don't have every class together. I don't think she agrees with this arrangement and I have a feeling it has to do with Matt. I just don't get why she hates him, I mean at first he was an asshole but once you get to know him he's actually pretty cool.

Now I guess you’re wondering why Amy and I are having lunch with the bad boys, well it all started with Aiden and Derek grabbing me by the arms and dragging me outside to the courtyard with them from the lunchroom while I had stuffed my mouth with my sandwich and every time I tried to protest it would come out as a jumble of words because of the damn peanut butter sandwich I had shoved into my mouth. Matt had thrown Amy over his shoulder carried her out to the courtyard. I guess that fuel her hatred towards him even more. Aiden said it was Derek's idea, Derek said it was Matt's idea and Matt said it was Aiden's idea. I knew all of them were in that little plan to drag me out the cafeteria while everyone was watching. Their reason for lugging me outside was that I need some fresh air in my life. Really ? That was a lame ass excuse. I get plenty of fresh air in my life I breathe it every second of my life. Idiots. Every day after that incident Amy and I have been having lunch with them and I have to say that I enjoy it. Matt is the funny one, Derek is the sweet one and Aiden is the well I have no clue what he is. He's like funny, sweet and arrogant all wrapped into one. That's Aiden Black for you.

Suddenly I felt a heavy body slam into my back almost making me fall over. Then I felt arms wrapped around my neck and legs around my waist. I look back to see who the hell it was and guess what it was none other than my best friend Amy.

"Amy, what the hell was that!?" I all but yelled at her. "I could have fell and broke my face into tiny little pieces and I would have to wear a mask for the rest of my life to cover up the damage you made." I glared at her as she was still latched onto my back. Man, she's heavy. I heard Derek chuckle beside me and I turn my heated glare to him which made him zip his lips quickly.

"Sorry! I just missed you so much." she said giving me a small pout. I rolled my eyes at her.

"I just saw you an hour ago Ames." I said not believing her statement. "What's your real reason?"

She climbed off my back and smiled sheepishly at me. "Well, um, Matt is trying to kill me."

"Why?" I asked her suspiciously. "What did you do?"

"Why do you think I did something?" she asked innocently. I gave her a 'you're kidding right?' look and she grinned.

"What did you do Amy?" I asked her yet again. She just continues to grin like a Cheshire cat.

"Just wait and see my friend. Wait and see." As if in cue, I see Matt running towards us in full speed. Amy hid behind me as Matt charged up to us. Matt was boiling with rage. His eyes were furious and his nostrils were flaring. Oh shit, what did Amy do?

"Matt, are you okay?" I asked gingerly. Matt didn't utter a single word instead he just glared over my shoulder to Amy who was behind me. I heard her snicker at him.

"What's wrong Matt? Cat got your tongue?" Amy teased. Matt still stayed silent but I could tell his patient was wearing thin.

"Amy, just tell us what the hell you did to Matt." I said slightly irritated.

"Wouldn't it be better if Matt showed you? Smile for us Matt." Amy said with a smirk on her face. Matt shook his head which made his brown hair to shake along.

Curiosity got the best of me so I decided to pinch his side hard enough to make him yelp and it just so happened that he did. What I say had me burst out laughing as soon as I caught sight of it as well as Derek.

"Y-you dyed his t-teeth blue!?" Derek said trying to control his laughter.

Amy chuckled and nodded her head while Matt stayed silent with his face crimson red from rage and embarrassment.

“How did you manage that?" I questioned as the laughter died down. Amy just shrugged her shoulder and smirked.

"A great prankster never reveals their secrets." She said. "But since it's you my best friend, I shall reveal one secret." I rolled my eyes at her. “I put food coloring on his sandwich and when he took a bite the food coloring stained his teeth." she said simply.

Derek went up to Amy and held up his hand. "Good job my friend. The ass need that for a while now." He said as Amy and him high-five while the two chuckle. Matt just glared at the both of them and stomped away obviously pissed off.

"Uh, someone want to fill me in on what just happened?" I heard a voice said behind me. I turned around to see Aiden looking at a retreating Matt curiously. I smiled up at him.

"Let's just say Matt is a little pissy over a small harmless prank." I said to him. He looked down at me and just shrugged it off. We all sat down on the steps that lead out to the parking lot, Aiden and Derek on the top step and Amy and I on the second step. Amy told Aiden about the little prank she pulled on Matt and he was laughing so hard that the milk that he was drinking came out his nose and that made the rest of us laugh harder. What Aiden didn't know was that I whipped out my phone and took a picture of it. What he doesn't know won't hurt him. As he was wiping up his sprayed milk I showed the picture to Amy and Derek which cause them to laugh. They tried to cover it so Aiden wouldn't hear but it was no use. When he looked up I put my phone back into my pocket so he wouldn't see. He narrowed his eyes at me but I kept an innocent look on my face.

"What did you do?" He said menacingly.

"Do what? I didn't do anything." I said innocently. It was becoming hard to keep a straight face as I kept thinking back on how? Aiden looked with milk coming out his nose. I couldn't help it anymore and I let out a snicker and held up my phone showing him the picture I took of him. He let out a growl and glared intensely at me.

"Run." Was all he said before I sprinted down the school's parking lot weaving through cars to lose him. I just about reach the end of the parking lot and the starting of another part of school when an arm wrapped around my waist spinning me around as I let out a squeal. A squeal! I don't squeal and I can't believe I did! When I was put down I was so dizzy I almost tipped over on one side and fell till I was steady yet again by a strong arm. I looked up to be met with the warm hazel eyes staring back at me. Aiden reached into my back pocket of my jeans and pulled out my phone and scrolled through deleting the picture, but I was still too shocked that he actually reached back there and took my phone. I put it back there hoping he wouldn't take it, but he did. Damn bad boy.

I just realized that Aiden still had his arm wrapped around my waist and there was little distance between us. My breath hitched at the closeness between us. Aiden moved a piece of my hair away from my face to behind my ear and I felt a blush rise to my cheeks. I gazed up to his eyes as he stares back at me with an unknown emotion with them, he leans in close enough that I could feel his warm minty breathe against my cheek. Just like your dream. Just like my dream. Aiden was about to say something until I heard our names being called. I looked over his shoulder to see Derek, Amy and Matt walking towards us. Aiden pulled away from me and unwrapped his arm from my waist. When the guys reached us Aiden cleared his throat and avoided eye contact with me. Well okay then.

We all walked back to the stairs we were sitting at, Aiden kept his distance away from me and I have to admit it kind of hurt that he did that. We sat back down with Aiden on the opposite side of me, he wouldn't even spare me a glance and I tried my hardest not to spare him a glance also.

Matt broke the silence, "What are you guys doing this weekend?" He asked, I could see that his teeth were no longer blue. He probably scrubbed them like no tomorrow. There was a chorus of nothings among us and Matt just smirked at us. "Well why don't we go up to my family's lake house and spend the weekend?"

He's kidding right? The look on his face said otherwise. Uh, no way am I going away for the weekend with these guys. I might die because of them! They’re so careless and reckless that one little mistake could kill us all! Like making a wrong turn and slamming into a tree causing our car to flip all the way to the lake causing us to drown. I'm too young to die!

"I'm up for it." Derek replied.

"So am I." Amy added.

"Count me in." Aiden said. Damn it's just me now. All eyes were on me and I had to supply an answer. Should I go? I mean Amy is going might as well give it a try.

I sighed dramatically. "Fine, I'll go." Derek and Matt cheered and Amy hugged me, but Aiden just stayed silent and stared out to the forest that surrounds the school. What's up with him?

"We leave at six so I advise you to go and pack quickly when you get home because I'm not waiting for anyone." Matt stated. I had a feeling that was directed to Amy but I got what he was saying.

The bell rung signaling the end of lunch, we said our goodbyes and made times for when Matt was gonna pick each of us up and Amy and I made our way to our first afternoon class together .

I'm spending the weekend with the bad boys.

A whole weekend.

What have I gotten myself into?

~~~
After school was finished Amy dropped me home saying that after she was finished packing that she'll meet me here so Matt could pick us up. I went into my house and saw that my dad was home instead of my mom. That was kind of odd seeing that, I walking into my house and into the kitchen and saw Tyler coloring a picture. I ruffle his hair and he shook his head to get it back in place.
"Emmy, you know I hate it when you mess with my hair." Ty said with a pout on his small lips.
"I know, but I just couldn't resist!" I said kissing his chubby cheek causing him to blush a little. I picked him up out of the chair and held him up in my arms which had him giggling. I have the most adorable little brother ever. I spun him around and around allowing him to laugh his cute little laugh. "Where's dad, Ty? I saw his car out front." I asked him as I put him down on the chair.
"Daddy is in his office." Tyler said pointing down the hallway. I nodded and made my way towards the room. I opened the door and found my dad sitting at his desk with his glasses on his face and paperwork placed all over his desk top. I walked over to his desk and knocked on the top to get his attention. He seemed so concentrated that he didn't even notice when I entered.
"Knock knock." I tapped on his desk. My dad looked up and gave me a smile.
"Hey pumpkin. I didn't even notice when you entered." He said.
"I noticed." I said returning his smile. "How come your home so early?"
“I had to pick up Tyler from daycare because your mom is working a little late tonight." I nodded and sat down on the couch next to his desk. "Is there something you want to ask me?" How did he know? "Honey, I'm your father. I can read like a book." Damn him!
" Uh,um." I stammered out. Holy gosh I'm nervous.
"Spit it out, Em" my dad says looking back down at his paperwork.
"Can I go to a lake house this weekend with a couple of friends?" I asked gingerly.
My dad looked up from the paper in his hand and straight at me. "Who’s going?" He asked sternly.
"Er, Amy." I answered.
"And?" my dad question.
"Aiden Black, your boss's son and two of his friends." I said cautiously. My dad stared at me for at least a minute and I was scared he was gonna burst with anger or something.
"Sure, you can go." My dad said looking back down to the papers. Wait what? Did he just say I could go? "Yes Emma I said you can go." He said smiling towards me. "I trust you and your choices and I know you won't do anything stupid even though you can be clumsy and dumb at times." My dad finished off smirking at me. I glared at him for a second but went up and hugged him from behind.
"And you can be annoying and stubborn sometimes, but I still love you." I said giving him a kiss on the cheek.
He patted my hand. "I love you too, sweetie. What time are you leaving?"
"Six" I said.
"Well, it's five right now. So you better start packing." I nodded and walked out of the room and upstairs to mine. I grabbed a bag and stuffed it with clothes and products that I would need for the trip. By the time I was done it was five thirty and Amy had called me saying that she'll be at my house in ten minutes. Matt had texted me telling me that he'll be picking us up in twenty minutes. Wondering when I got his number? We exchange them after we made the plan to go to the lake house for the weekend. I also have Derek's and Aiden's number just in case. Well that's what they said.
The doorbell rang and I went to the front door to answer it. When I opened the door Amy was standing there with her bag. She entered the house and set her bag down next to mine which was on floor next to the door. We walked to the living room and sat on the couch.
"Ready for the trip?" Amy asked as she dropped her feet onto the coffee table.
"Yeah I guess." I answered her.
"You and Aiden have been getting pretty close." She said waggling her eyebrows suggestively. I smacked her arm but couldn't help but smile a little.
"We're close because we have to be for that project." I said nonchalantly.
"You know that's not what I meant." She said giving me a pointed look. I just rolled my eyes at her.
"Speaking of bad boys, what's up with you and Matt?" I asked curiously. She froze completely.
"What do you mean?" She countered.
"I mean you guys have a lot of tension and hatred towards each other. Why?"
"He's a dick, that's why." She said coldly.
"That can't be all of it." I said giving her a pointed look. Just when she was about you answer back, beeping of a horn sound through the house.
"Oh look, time to go." Amy said with relief written all over her face.
I glared at her. "Don't think you're getting off that easily." She just rolled her eyes and went to get her bag as I followed behind her and  said goodbye to my dad and brother. We walked outside and spotted Matt's truck. Matt came out and took our bags from us.
"Got everything?" Matt asked.
"Yup" I answered as he opened the truck's door for us. Derek was inside at the backseat and Aiden was in the front. Once inside, Matt started the truck and we were off to the lake house. Throughout the trip we all talked and laughed, I found out that Matt's parents were lawyers and could definitely afford a lake house among many other things. Derek said that his parents weren't lawyers or doctors or even business owners but that they were a regular people with regular jobs, just like my parents. Maybe that's the reason why he's so sweet and down to earth. Even Aiden seem to snap out of his cold state and joined into our conversation.
An hour and many laughs later we pulled up to the most beautiful lake house I ever saw. It was two stories and was completely huge. It over looked the sparkling lake and had trees surrounding the back. We all got out of the truck and unload it with our bags and walked into the house. I was awestruck with the sight before me. This lake house is freaking huge! There was a living room, dining room and a sitting room when you first walk into the corridor. When you walked down further into the house the kitchen was there and it had all the new appliances and up to date styling.
"What do you guys thinking?" Matt said smirking at Amy and me.
"I've seen better." Amy said nonchalantly. I know for a fact that she hasn't seen better.
"Uh. Um. Its freaking huge!" I exclaimed. Matt laughed at my reaction.
"That it is." Matt said. "If you're wondering why Derek or Aiden aren't having any reaction, it's because they've been here before." I was wondering that! It's like Matt can read my mind. Am I that easy to read? "Come on, I'll show you were you and devil's spawn will be staying at." I giggled at the way he referred to Amy and Amy glared holes to the side of Matt's head but reluctantly followed Matt up the steps to the room and what a room it was! There was a four post king sized bed in the middle of the room, an en suit bathroom and a flat screen TV mounted on the wall. Even my room at home doesn't compare to this. "Unpack and meet us in the back for a bonfire." He instructed and then left.
Amy plopped down on the bed. "This place is awesome!" She said. "Don't tell Matt I said that." I rolled my eyes at her and unpacked my stuff.
"Be nice Ames." I said as I put my stuff away.
"I'm always nice, just not to assholes." She muttered. I didn't respond because I didn't feel like arguing.
"Alright, whatever let's just go downstairs." She nodded in agreement and walked with me downstairs and out to the back where the bonfire was burning brightly.
Aiden came up to me and handed Amy and I a cups filled with something. "What is it?" I asked.
Aiden smirked at me. "Try it sweetheart." I looked at him suspiciously but took a sip anyways. When I did the cool liquid burned my throat as it made its way down.
I started to cough. "Vodka?" I asked in between coughs and Aiden continues to smirk.
"The good girl knows what vodka taste like?" Aiden question in fake surprise, I just rolled my eyes at him.
"Yes, I know what vodka taste like. No need to be shocked." I said scowling at him. He just smiled at me and grabbed my hand to leading us to the bonfire. We sat down in comfortable silence until Amy broke it.
"Hey guys, let's play a game!" she exclaimed.
"What game?" Derek asked. I wanna know the same thing.
"The game is called dare you and this is how you play." Amy looked down on the ground and picked up four twigs, three of them were long and one of them was short. "Okay since I'm the one who started the game I won't have to pick for the first round. In the game the four of you will each pick a twig and who ever gets the short one has to do the dare I come up with. Once the dare is completed by the person with the short twig, that person gets to be the person who gives out the twig and come up with the dare. Simple?" we all nodded in unison. "Great, now pick each of you pick a twig." She held them out and we each took a twig.
I held up my twig to see that I got the longer one instead of the shorter one. Thank gosh. I looked around to see Matt and Derek with the longer twig also, so that leaves Aiden with the shorter one. Ha, idiot got stuck with the shorter one.
"Aiden, my man, looks like you got stuck with the shorter twig." Amy said smirking.
"Uh, I guess so." Aiden answered back. "So what's my dare?" He asked nonchalantly.
"Aiden Black, the bad boy, I dare you to kiss my best friend Emma Miller." She said pointing towards me smirking.
Wait what?
Did she say kiss?
She just dared Aiden to kiss me?
Remind me to kill this girl.
