Chapter 29- She's Back

Loving The Bad Boy

Chapter 29-She's Back

-Emma-

"Leave!" I cried out trying to push Aiden by his chest out of Amy's house.

"But sweetheart, I don't want to leave." He whined putting all his weight onto my poor arms making it difficult for me to push him. Aiden, Matt and Derek decided that it would be sweet if they came and crash our girl's night, we allowed them to stay for a bit but now it was time for them to get the hell out. Not to be rude or anything.

"Look, Matt and Derek are already out there!" I said pointing towards the black car in the driveway where the guys were.

"First, Derek is only there because he's hungry and wants to get something in that animal of a stomach. Second, Amy is with Matt."

"Why are you such a difficult child?" I asked with irritation in my voice.

"Because I missed my girlfriend and wanted to spend some time with her. Plus you love me anyways." He said nonchalantly.

"Urg, I missed you too, but you always get to spend time with me. Now it's time for me to catch up with the girls, stop being selfish and go catch up with the guys." I said sternly.

A pout made its way onto Aiden's lips, he looked so adorable that I wanted to pinch his cheeks and cooed but he would get mad at me, well that's an idea to get him out of here. I glanced over his shoulder to see Amy making her way back to the front door, but of course these guys don't give up, Matt was also on her trail.

Amy slipped into the doorway and into her house just as Matt reached the front door. "Matt, if you don't leave I will drop kick your ass out of my yard!"

"But we get bored and we just want to hang out with you guys." He said innocently and Aiden nodded his head in agreement.

"Why can't you guys be like Derek who is patiently standing by the car to leave?" Amy asked glaring at the two boys invading her front door.

"Because he's lonely and doesn't have a girlfriend to bother." Matt said loud enough for Derek to hear.

"Hey! I'm not lonely! I get all the entertainment I need." Derek yelled back

"Your hand doesn't count as entertainment." Aiden said loud enough for him to hear. I heard a loud thud come from behind the guys. I glance up to Aiden to see him holding the back of his head in pain and looked back down to see Amy's watering can behind him.

Amy, Matt and I looked at each other and couldn't help but burst out laughing. "H-how? W-where did he find that from?" I said in between laughs. Aiden glared at me and then turn his heated gaze to Derek.

"You ass! You're gonna pay for that!" He yelled towards him.

Derek looked at him innocently and blinked a few times before a smirk made its way onto his face. "Come at me, bro."

"Bitch." Aiden muttered under his breath and turned his attention to me. "See now I'm hurt, so you should let me in so you can take care of me." I rolled my eyes at his attempt.

"Not happening, now take the watering can and walk to the car."

"You're so mean." He exasperated.

"I never said I was nice." I said with a raised eyebrow.

"Uh, why are there two guys blocking my front door?" I heard a deep voice said behind the guys.

I looked over the guys shoulders to see Nick look at the back of them with a curious look on his face. His dark blonde hair, almost brown, was disheveled a bit. He was wearing a dark gray hoodie with a pair of dark jeans. Nick is good looking, I'm not gonna lie, but in my opinion Aiden is just a bit more good looking.

"Nicky!" I yelled with a wide grin on my face.

Nick looked over the guys' shoulders and the same wide grin I had on my face was mirrored onto his. "Emmy." He said happily. "Can you tell me why there are two guys blocking my doorway?"

Amy grabbed Matt's shoulder as I grabbed Aiden's and turned them around to face Nick. "Oh, hey guys. What's up?" He said walking up to them and slapping their hands. Nick met Aiden, Matt, and Derek a few weeks back when we all were out at the diner one day. When the guys first met, Derek and Matt got along pretty well with Nick. As for Aiden, well it was a bit of a rough start.

Remember when Nick and I were at the boardwalk the night of the club incident and he was comforting me and Aiden walked up on us? Well, Aiden still didn't seem to be over that, even though Nick was. When they first met, there was a bit of tension on Aiden's side. I had to sit him down and explain to him that Nick and I were and still are best friends, that he was like an older brother comforting me in my time of need, no romantic feelings whatsoever. I did tell him that we do harmless flirting, but that's just how my relationship with Nick is. He still seemed a bit skeptical at first and also didn't like the harmless flirting thing, but I told him to grow up and deal with.

So after my talk with Aiden he seemed to be more open towards Nick and you wouldn't believe that they act like long lost best friends towards each other. "Hey man, trying to let these stubborn girlfriends of ours to let us in." Aiden said simply.

"Dude, come on! They're not gonna let you in, let's go I'm starving!" I heard Derek yelled.

Nick raised an eyebrow and turned his attention towards me. "Why aren't you letting them in, Em?" He asked.

"Nicky, they crashed our girl's night." I said with a pout on my lips.

"Well guys, I'm sorry but you have to leave." He said simply with a small smile towards me.

"Aw, come on!" Matt retorted. "That's not fair."

"Alright, let me talk to them." Nick said walking between the two guys and towards Amy and I. He pulled Amy and I to the side of the door and just when I was about to protest, Nick whisper something to Amy and I. After he was done, Amy and I looked towards each other and nodded in some kind of agreement.

We turned back to the front door and took on step towards our boyfriends who were patiently waiting. I grab Aiden by the collar of his jacket and crashed my lips onto his. He seemed shocked at first because he didn't kiss back, but a second or two later he responded back. I could feel him relax against me, his guard was down. Perfect.

The looks on the guys' faces when we did the next thing was priceless. Just as I felt Aiden relaxed into the kiss, I trailed my hands up to his chest, making it seem like it was something I would do during the kiss. A second later, I pushed on his chest with much force making him stumble back and trip over the watering can landing on the grass. I looked over to Amy to her do the same, but Matt tripped over a ledge that you would have to step up to, to get to Amy's front door, and fell onto the grass next to Aiden. I could hear Derek chuckle from the distance and the shock looks on their faces mirrored each others.

"Love you!" Amy and I said in unison and scrambled inside slamming the door shut. I could hear Derek cracking up by the driveway.

"See told you it would work." Nick said with a smirk on his face. Nick had told us to trying and kiss our boyfriends senseless and when they were in a daze just push them away from the door. I didn't think it would work since Aiden has an iron body, but it did.

I heard a car started and pulled out of the driveway. The phone in my pocket started to vibrate signaling I had a new text. I pulled the phone out of my back pocket and opened the text.

Good one, I'll give you that. But next time don't think it would be that easy. ;) -Aiden

I rolled my eyes at his text message. The phone in hand vibrated again.

Oh love you too sweetheart. Never got to say it back since you slammed the door in my face -.- -Aiden

I chuckled at his text but couldn't help a small smile from making its way onto my face.

"What are you doing here, Nick?" Amy asked.

"To change, I'm going out tonight." He said. "I can't come to my own house?" He asked with a raised eyebrow and Amy rolled her eyes.

"Aww, little Nicky is going out." I cooed. "Where you going?" I asked.

"Clubbing." Nick answered. I was just about to respond when I saw Mia walked out the kitchen with a plate of freshly baked brownies.

"Oh, hey Nick." She greeted giving him a smile. Mia met Nick the same time the guys did and they hit it off also. The wicked match maker part of my mind wants to hook the two of them up, but they didn't seem to be interested into each other like that. They just seem to be good friends, much to my disappointment.

"Hey Mia." Nick greeted also with a smile.

"Want a brownie?" She asked gesturing to the plate and Nick nodded vigorously. Nick has a major sweet tooth, if you have anything sweet related in your hands and don't share with him, he will grab it out of your hands and stuff it in his mouth. Greedy bastard.

Mia offered the plate and Nick grabbed one immediately and took a huge bite out of it. A moan of delight left his lips as he ate the brownie in his hand. "Emma, you made them didn't you?"

My eyes widen a bit in astonishment. "How did you know?" I asked.

"Because your brownies always have that special little something in them." He said popping the late bite into his mouth.

"Which is?" Amy asked.

"Love." He said warmly and I grinned at him. I do love baking, especially cookies, cakes and brownies. It's always been something I do just for the fun of it and people seem to enjoy it so I continued. "I should be going now, it's eight and I have to leave by eight thirty." Nick said checking his phone. "And I'll be taking these." He said grabbing the plate from Mia's hands.

"I don't think so." I said grabbing the plate from his hands before he could run up the stairs.

"Aw, but Emmy-love." He said starting to complain, before he could say anything else, I popped a brownie into his mouth and put another one into his hand.

"Shut up, Nicky-Bear and eat the brownie." I said trying to hide my smile. He muffled out a 'thank you' through his mouth filled of brownie and ran up the stairs.

I heard the girls' chuckle. "You guys act more like brother and sister then Amy and Nick do." Mia said as all three of us sat back onto the couch.

"Well, when I first met Nick it was at local playground when I was five. I had met Amy from before but she ran off somewhere leaving me." I said giving Amy a pointed look to which she grinned cheekily at. "So I decided to try and climb a tree, I was an adventurous little child and always wanted to do something fun. I was not even halfway up when I slipped. I was waiting to feel the impact of the ground but it never came. When I opened my eyes I saw two tan skinny arms wrapped around my torso from behind. I turned around to see Nick holding onto me for dear life. Nick being three years older than us caused him to be taller and stronger. When he let go, he asked if I was really trying to climb the tree, I said yes and he said that it was cool that no other girl on the playground would do that. So for the rest of time we were there we climbed the tree and eventually Amy joined us also and I figured out they were siblings, ones who like to bicker."

"From that day on, it's always been Amy, Nick and I. But Nick being older he had more friends so most of the time it was Amy and I, but even though Nick had different friends not once did he ever turn his back on Amy and I. Whenever I need him he's there, when I get I trouble he's there to cover me and when I'm feeling down he always knows the right thing to say to make me feel better. You can say Nick is like my personal guardian angel. But Nick will always be one of the few people I keep close to my heart." I finished.

I heard sniffling from behind me and when I looked back I saw Nick. "Aww Emmy, you're too kind." He said wiping away fake tears. I knew he was only playing around. "But I love you, don't ever forget that." He said sternly.

"I know, love you too Nicky." He smiled and ruffled my hair.

"I'll see you guys later." Nick said and we bid him a goodbye as he left the house.

"Your story with Nick reminds me of my story with Aiden." Mia said. "When I met Aiden it was my first day at a new school. I was sitting in the office waiting for my mom to finish signing paperwork. The front door of the office slammed open and I saw a boy around my age with dark brown hair and hazel eyes waltz in trying to look all bad ass. I decided to introduce myself to the kid and when I did he seemed shell shocked that I even talked to him, he finally said his name was Aiden. About a few minutes later my mom came and led me to my new class leaving Aiden behind."

"When I got to my new class the kids seem to be fascinated by having a new kid in there, they all surrounded me asking questions. So when the door of the classroom opened up again and I saw Aiden walk in, I was happy that all the attention from me went to him. But something about him intrigued me, so I went up and grabbed his hand leading him to the seat next to me and started talking. After that Aiden and I became close because I was the only one who would approach him. In the thrid grade, Aiden met Derek and Matt and they became inseparable. I thought that he would forget about me, but he never did. Aiden made sure I was always by his side, I never tried to change his bad boy ways because

that's who he is. When we entered high school things started to change though and well you guys know that part." Mia said.

Amy and I nodded. "If you don't mind me asking, why did you do that for Aiden?" Amy asked.

"I don't mind at all, I guess you guys know about the night I followed Aiden into the city, right?" Amy and I nodded again. I had filled Amy in on this awhile back. "Well after I found out what he was doing, selling drugs, of course, and after his confession and me feeling the same, I had to do something to get him out of it." Mia looked at me for a reaction when she brought up the 'confession.' I kept a neutral look on my face, I was still a bit not too 'happy' about it but I would have to get over it. "Well after that, I looked around the city until I came across a warehouse. It was a vacant old building. The odd thing was that I saw people going in and out of the building ever so often. Then I saw Mark exiting the building and that's when I approached him, I didn't know he would be there but I knew that his operation base had to be somewhere around the city. He was shocked and speechless at first, until I told him I knew everything about his operation, which in fact I knew nothing just that he had Aiden working for him. He tried to threaten me but I stood my ground, when he asked what I wanted I told him I wanted Aiden to be freed from this. He thought about it for a few moments then agreed but I would have to take Aiden's place instead. There was no second thought about it, I agreed and took Aiden's place. He didn't need to be in this horrible thing that he had gotten himself into, he was a good guy who took the wrong path and I didn't want him to sink deeper into that world. When Aiden found out he did some things that would get him killed by Mark. Mark didn't do anything since he had me and that hurt Aiden even more, not until that club thing happened, it was Mark's breaking point." She finished.

"What do you mean he did some things that would get him killed by Mark?" I asked, my heart beat starting to pick up in fear.

"I don't quite know, Mark was the one who told me 'Be lucky, I spared his life after what he did.' one day. I didn't know what he meant, I just figured out Aiden did something terrible." My mind was reeling on things Aiden could have done to bring down Mark. "Em, let's forget about this for one night." Mia said offering me a smile and I return a weak one and I picked up the empty plate that held the brownies that we munched on during our stories and took it to the kitchen.

I placed the plate in the sink and placed my hands on the counter getting lost in my thoughts. What exactly did Aiden do that Mark would want to kill him for? I heard approaching footsteps and turned around to see Mia in the doorway. "Emma, there is one thing I wanted to clear up." She said and I raised an eyebrow at her.

"What is it?" I asked curiously.

"Um, I just wanted to say that you have nothing to worry about, I mean between Aiden and I. I don't have any romantic feelings towards him anymore, not for awhile actually. I see what a great girl he has and I haven't seen him this happy, ever." She said grinning. A light blush crept onto my face when she said that. "Come on! Let's finish the movie."

I nodded and walked into the living room, but there was only one thing on my mind. What is Mark planning?

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The next day passed by pretty quickly. The guys, Amy and I all spent the day helping Mia move back to her parents' house. She decided that it was time to finally move back. Her parents thought that she was going to this prestige boarding school a few states away that was strict and wouldn't let students out for the first few years, instead of being with Mark. Obviously there was no school like that and she was only an hour away from them all along. She told her parents that she transferred back because she wanted to enjoy her senior year with a few friends and they understood.
Her parents were nice and seem to really love their daughter with all their heart. They were happy that Mia had some great friends that would help her move. You could tell she was happy to finally be home after so long.
Monday came a lot quicker than I wanted it too. I was currently walking down the hall with Mia and Amy to our third class of the day.
"How does it feel to be back home after so long?" Amy asked Mia.
"It feels great!" Mia chirped as we turned the corner of the hallway. "I really missed my parents, especially the-" The slam of the hallway door sound the hall capturing everyone's attention and stopping Mia mid-sentence.
Ashley Carter was at the entrance of the hallway door with a few girls from the cheerleading squad aka the 'fakes.' Come to think of it, I haven seem Ashley around for awhile, not ever since that stupid prank shit she pulled on me. Since she was a rich daddy's girl she probably went on a vacation, I wouldn't be surprised if that was the case.
She was wearing skin tight jeans and white long sleeved v-neck, the v-neck was low enough to see the top of her red bra and the shirt was thin enough to be see through and a pair of black high heels. Her eyes scanned the hallway and landed onto me, her lips formed into a smirk and her eyes held hatred. I raised an eyebrow at her gesture, but didn't let it affect me.
The bell rung indicating that we had a minute left to get to class before we were considered late. So I ignored her stare and walked into the classroom with Amy and Mia. About five minutes through the class I figured out that brought the wrong notebook. So I asked the teacher if I could go and switch the notebooks from my locker. The teacher said yes and I took the hall pass and left the classroom.
I walk down the hall swinging the pass in my hands back and forth. I reached my locker and was just about to grab the lock to dial in my combination, when a hand went in front of me stopping me from doing so.
I followed the well manicured hand up to Ashley Carter's face. Ashley was looking down at me with a menacing look. She was already two inches taller than me so her wear monster heels made her tower over me.
"Can I help you?" I asked tilting my head to the side a bit.
"Why would I want help from you?" She growled out and I just shrugged my shoulders. "I would never want help from you, especially since you stole what was mine."
"Stole? I didn't steal anything from you."
"You stole Aiden from me, you bitch."
Now that got my blood boiling. "Listen here whore. I didn't steal Aiden from you. He came to me, he liked me, heck he even loves me and I love him too. So get it through your thick skull that he doesn't like you, at all and he never will like a slut like you." I spat out.
Ashley's face was red from anger, I was expecting her to say something stupid or insulting but she didn't. Her face went to a blank expression and then a smirk formed on her lips. "Don't you worry, Emma. Soon you'll be getting what you deserve." With that she walked down the empty hallway leaving me alone.
