Chapter 23: Chapter Twenty Two

GUN'S POV

It's the opening day of the studio. It has the same schedule as the opening of my coffee shop. Pim, Chimon and their friends are coming. A lot of stars are coming to the opening, even some prominent directors that is why we prepared so much. Even had a catering team.

Tay said to have breakfast at the studio so we'd be there and ready before anyone else arrives. I volunteered to cater the breakfast from my coffee shop since we serve food as well. I asked my team to deliver some food for us, we agreed to meet at 8AM.

"Tay this call time is too early." Off complained when he sat down at the meeting room.

"If I didn't make it this early, we'd all be late by later for sure" Tay said distributing the food from the boxes.

I was waiting for Tay to finish distributing our food while New helped him and they were being them flirting with each other. Me on the other hand took my iPad out to check some e-mails, it was crucial being beside Off right now. He was busy with his phone and he kept smiling with every notification he gets.

I was taken a back when my phone rang. It was a missed call from Tay and I looked over him, he signaled for me to look at my phone again in which I saw a message from him.

Tay Tawan

Stop staring at Off. He'd melt.

I'M NOT. HMP.

I rolled my eyes at him and laughed which caught Off's attention. Tay handed him some food and he took it. I got them all coffee but little do they know I'm the one who made that special brew for Off. I used my expensive beans at home and also followed a recipe from myself.

I was cautious while I was eating. I wanted to see Off's reaction when he tastes the coffee. I tasted it a while ago and it was so good, I'm just not sure if he'd like it as well.

When he finally took a sip, his eyes widened and took another sip. I smiled when he seemed to enjoy the drink. He took his phone out again and to my surprise he glimpsed on me that made me look around so that he won't know I've been looking at him.

I was shocked to get a notification from my phone. Tay looked over to me maybe wondering why I've been so jumpy. I smiled at him and checked my phone... it was a notification from Off. He mentioned me and my store on his story with a caption.

"First time having this kind of drink, hope the barista will tell me what this is, I got a new favorite drink"

I couldn't hide my smile so I stuffed food in my mouth instead. I couldn't help but smile at the thought that he like it. I was planning to teach my baristas what I did and keep a stash of my expensive beans for him at the coffee shop in case he comes there for it. It'll be exclusive for him of course.

"Keep stuffing food on your mouth. What the heck is going on with you?" Tay whispered to me while he was eating.

Since I couldn't talk anymore, I just gave him a small smile and shook my head to signal him nothing but instead he started laughing which made me laugh too. I was trying to stop myself from laughing but Tay won't stop.

"Hey... don't laugh, you might choke." Off said while me and Tay were being crazy weird.

My eyes widened and I started choking. I quickly forced myself to swallow the food more and the next thing I know is that he was handing me water already. I grabbed the bottle and drank from it and I took a tissue to wipe my mouth and a few tears that escaped my eyes.

"You bastard!" I said and hit Tay's arm. He continued laughing.

I was about to thank Off for the water but he stood up and left, he wasn't even finished with his food yet. I got worried, is he mad at us? Are we too loud? Ugh if only he'd stop giving us the cold treatment, I want the old Off back.

Off walked back inside after a few minutes holding a paper bag. He ordered something? Is the food I sponsored not enough? Was it not good?

"Here, I know you love your breakfasts with this." Off sat and handed me the paper bag.

I opened it and it was hash browns!

"Thank you Off." I said and smiled. He smiled back at me. He literally ordered hash browns just for me?

I saw Tay smiling at me and I glared at him because he might say or do something stupid again. Off's actions are confusing the heck out of me. I don't even know why he's acting cold anymore but then he does normal stuff like buying food, looking after me. Ugh, this is frustrating.

After eating, we prepared for the opening, the mini stage is set-up in front. We were just chilling around waiting for time to come. Around lunch time when New got food delivered and also, our friend Arm came. He said he has free time so he'd help us with stuff.

"Gun? Is it possible to order that drink you got for me a while ago?" Off asked all of sudden while I was fixing some brochures.

"U--Uhmm.. that one is not yet on the menu. I was testing out the drinks I gave you all. Maybe tomorrow or the next day I could get it out." I told him.

"Really? You had caramel macchiato and chai tea latte on your menu, that's the label on Tay and New's cup right? How come mine isn't on the menu yet?" He asked seriously.

I don't even know what to say anymore. Ugh. I guess I just have to go get the coffee myself.

"I didn't know that. My staff were the ones to get that but I'll contact them maybe they could get you that drink." I told him.

"Thanks. I'd get two please. Mild is coming later, I'll ask her to try it out as well." He said and turned around.

Ouch. Lol so much for getting my hopes up. I was debating on getting him the drink or not. Ugh, I hate myself sometimes.

Pim

Hey Pim, can you bring some of the expensive

coffee beans to the coffee shop? I'll make it up to you.

Ugh why?

Just do as I tell you. I'll pay you.

Okay.

I immediately called my coffee shop manager and told her that she's gonna need to make a special brew. I gave her the instructions and made sure she got it all right and I told her to get it delivered here. She immediately agreed and I was kind of relieved but the thought that Off is gonna share it to Mild kind of hurts me.

I just can't really keep up with his mixed signals. Just now I was helping fix some chords for the mini stage set-up but there he is getting it from me because he said I shouldn't do those kind of stuff and I should just fix the papers and others.

M phone rang and it was Chimon. He said they are outside, it was still two hours early that's why I got confused when he said they are already here. What is the deal with this kid. I walked outside and I saw Off busy on the phone while New and Tay were playing with some stuff they picked up somewhere.

"P'Gun!" Chimon said when I opened the door.

"It's not yet time for the opening?" I asked confused.

"Yeah, but look..." He said pointing behind him.

"OMG!" I said when I saw Dae. I looked at Chimon and he smiled.

"She came here for me, we got back together but then I told her that it's your studio opening and she wanted to come." Chimon smiled.

"Dae I missed you omg!" I said and hugged her.

"I missed you too P'Gun." She said and smiled.

"Come inside, it's hot." I said

"No P'Gun, we're visiting your coffe shop, but there's more people to see you." Chimon said while signaling to his car.

Jayler, Oile and Paris walked out. I ran towards then especially Jayler. My friends from New York!!!!

"YOU'RE HERE!!!!!" I squished all of them in a hug.

"Of course we wouldn't miss this." Oile said.

"Chimon is going to show us your coffee shop and then we'll go back here for the opening. Let's party later? Bring your friends with you." Jayler said and pointed behind me.

The studio had glass windows that is why I saw that the four inside were looking at us already.

"Sure! I'll introduce you later to them. For now, Chimon bring them to the coffee shop. I'll call the manager and tell her you're coming. Enjoy Bangkok" I said and walked back to the entrance of the studio.

I waited for them to leave before I headed back inside where the four are still confused.

"Those are my New York friends. The girl Chimon was with is his girlfriend, Dae. The three are my New York bffs, Jayler, Oile and Paris. I'll introduce you later, they said let's go party" I said.

"Wait, Jayler as in THE JAYLER?" Tay asked.

Jayler was my former fling, we weren't really official but he admitted he likes me but I wasn't ready back then. I told Tay about him and how he's been so nice even if remained friends after his confession.

"Yep, and they want to be friends with ya'll so I'm not taking no for an answer" I said.

"Who's Jayler?" Arm asked.

"Gun's ex-fling" Tay said and smirked at me.

I looked over at Off who was giving a blank expression, I couldn't read his expression. Is he happy? Is he mad? I don't even know anymore.

"It's time to see if he's gonna be affected, show Off what he's gonna loose. We'll make sure he's coming." Tay pulled me to the side and whispered to me.

"What?! Didn't you hear him? Mild is coming and for sure he'd stick with her, he likes her." I told him.

"You're not sure with that, I saw how he looked at you talking to Jayler and how he pretended to have that cold expression when I told them he's your ex-fling." Tay whispered again.

Tay went over to the speakers and played some songs...

Small talk, no conversation

I looked over at him, he smiled at me. Of course, he had to play mean it by LANY, I told him the other day how it hits me hard every time because of all the mixed signals I've been getting from Off.

Opening finally came. There were more press than we expected, of course, some of the famous celebrities are here. Also, our families and friends came. We gave out an interview to the press and formally welcomed everybody. It was actually impressive that some are already thinking of hiring our team for projects and some directors were thinking of collaborating.

It was a fun opening until we're all hanging out with our friends, Jayler's arm was around my shoulders and we were all talking when Off walked past us. I haven't introduced them yet that is why I decided to call Off.

"Off!" I sort of yelled because there was music and a lot of people talking.

"Yeah?" He turned around.

"These are my friends... this is Oile, this is Paris aaaand this is nobody" I jokingly said pointing to Jayler which made him squeeze my cheeks and laugh

"I'm Jayler" He said and handed out his hand to Off.

"Off Jumpol" He said and formally took Jayler's hand. He was so serious.

"Nice to meet you all, I gotta go find my girl" He said which shattered my heart so much.

I really don't got any chance huh? I smiled. It's gonna be a loooong night of pretending I'm okay. Thankful that my New York friends are here, I plan to get drunk as fck!

After all the fun and stuff in the studio, we were left behind to clean up a little and fix some stuff. We're gonna have 24 hours security so all we need is to pack up some stuff and the security will take care of closing it.

"Why are you in a hurry" Arm asked me.

"I wanna drink and party already" I said

"He wants to see someone already" Tay teased.

"I wanna see all my babies, baby liquors" I said.

"Let's take a picture" New said holding up his phone.

"Picture before the chaos" Tay said and laughed.

We all headed to the bar that they chose, Chimon and Pim was there too as well as their friends. Oh I don't care about them anymore. I wanted to get drunk, I immediately went to the table where my friends are. I immediately took a shot of the drinks that were laid out there.

"Chill dude" Paris told me when I gulped down my shot.

I stood up again to look for Pim.

"Pim, when I get drunk, which is soon, here's my car keys, you drive. If you can't drive, call one of dad's drivers" I told her and even took a shot from their circle of friends.

I didn't know how many shots I got until I was starting to feel dizzy and light headed, my face also is starting to feel numb. We were seating on a round couch and I was in the middle of Off and Jayler, I didn't even know how I got in between them.

Tay was taking pictures, New was looking out for him. I took more shots and I felt like dancing when I heard Feel so Close was playing, I stood up but then I fell back to the sofa when I felt really dizzy.

"Where are you going, you're so drunk already." Off said.

"Here take a shot so you'd get drunk too" I said handing him a shot glass. It was empty and I started laughing.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

Gun laughed and laughed until Tay poured on the shot glass he was holding, Gun gave it to Off and he was being pushy so Off took it. Little did he know, Off was already worried and uncomfortable since he doesn't really go to parties that much.

Gun stood up again and he was trying to go to the dance floor when he fell on Jayler's lap. They all laughed except for Off who shifted into a darker expression. Gun took Jayler's hand went to the dance floor with him. Their friends joined them except for Arm and Off.

Off started pouring himself some drinks, he is aware that there are some fans taking photos of him and he didn't care anymore. He took a few shots and eventually stopped.

"It hurts huh?" Arm suddenly asked Off.

"What?" Off asked back.

"It hurts seeing him with another guy." Arm said pointing to Gun

"What are you talking about?" Off asked again.

"Off, I know you like Gun, I can see it in your actions and the way you look at him. The only advice I could give you is hurry up before you're too late. Everybody loves Gun." He said and left Off alone there.

Off was contemplating his thoughts and feelings when the others started to come back. He was shocked seeing Gun half passed out clinging into Tay and New's shoulder.

"Off move over, he already puked in the toilet, he'd be asleep or slightly sober in a while" Tay said as they made Gun sit and drink some water.

"Tay it hurts" Gun said crying to Tay.

"Okay, talk to Off. Let me find Pim to take you home" Tay said turning around.

Gun stared at Off for a long while, he was hugging the glass of water like a child hugging a teddy bear.

"What? Go drink your water." Off said about to hold the glass for Gun but Gun took it away

"No. Don't touch me" Gun said.

Gun took a sip and placed the glass on the table, he later then laid down beside Off and dozed off to sleep.

"Gun, get up" Off said trying to wake Gun up when Tay found Pim, but she was drunk as well so Tay called the driver they had at home so they could bring the siblings home.

"Arm, can you take my car? I'll send them home" Off volunteered when nobody picked up Tay's call.

"You sure? How are you getting home?" Arm asked.

"I'll ask someone to fetch me." Off said.

Gun suddenly woke up and looked at everyone.

"Are you sober now?" Tay asked Gun

"I don't know, I'm really sleepy" Gun said.

"Go take him home now Off" Oile said.

"I'll take care of these boys, we'll visit Gun when we're sober. And we'll see him next week as well" Oiled added.

Off was confused with what Oile said because as far as he could remember, Gun's friends are going back home in a couple of days so how are they gonna see him?

Off took the siblings home, their helper wasn't surprised at all seeing the siblings in that state, which seems that it happens often.

"Off! You're here, Oh, these two" Gun's grandma said when they reached the door of the rooms upstairs.

"Yeah, they were just having so much fun" Off said.

"Take him inside, you can stay over. Gun's oversized shirt can fit you. It's dangerous already, I'm not taking no for an answer" Grandma said.

"It's fine, I can go home Phi" Off said shyly

"No. You're staying over. The guest room has some stuff. I'll have the helper bring some airbed and stuff here" Grandma said leaving them inside Gun's room. Gun is halfway passed out when he lied on the bed and his phone fell.

Gun was too sleepy to pick up his phone so Off fixed him in the bed and tucked him in. Off picked the phone up and saw a notification when the screen lit up. It was flight updates. He saw Gun was leaving... again...
