Chapter - 19

Ethan's POV:

As there was a brief silence and an air of tension was going on in the condo for a few minutes.

Ethan, who was sitting in the living room stared at Chris with rage.

Ethan, just want to throw a few punches on Chris's face until Natalie and Chris's mother couldn't recognise him.

When Chris called him to talk about something personal. He, was interested and wanted to know what he will talk about, as it was rare for Chris to talk about something personal so he was curious but, who would have thought he would act like a victim shamelessly and put blame on Natalie and his mother. He couldn't even accept this was his fault.

Ethan, who was known for his patience, at this moment couldn't control his anger.

Why?

Everyone, who was close to Chris at the time warned and advised him to think carefully before divorcing Rachel. Even, if you divorce Rachel just don't marry Natalie. It was not for divorcing Rachel and leaving her but for Natalie a woman who cheated on him and left him just like that at the moment he proposed to her and it was just a slap to his face.

Because everyone knows Natalie who come in between a married couple is the mistress and came right after a month of her breakup with her ex-boyfriend who had been in a relationship for 3-4 years.

Ethan was so angry at the time and tried to get him in his right mind. But, this loser just doesn't understand shit and went to Natalie just like that.

Ethan was even more disappointed in Chris because he left Rachel and what he did to her was so cruel one could say.

First, he cheated on Rachel behind her back and even have the nerve to say it was her fault in parenting and blamed everything on her as an excuse.

Second, he took Blake to see Natalie without Rachel's knowledge and even in the end he took her son away from her for months. There, has been months when Rachel couldn't even see Blake or talk to him. On, could just imagine how she must have suffered?

Third, suddenly one day there was news spreading on the internet that Rachel is a gold digger and married Chris only for money and his power. Like wtf, Ethan couldn't believe it when saw this news and contacted Chris about it to tell him to clarify but you know what this shit-head did, he told him he would take care and clarify but he did shit. He only commented to the paparazzi that it was not like that. Just like that Rachel imagine got trashed. She even has to face Chris's mother and Natalie all alone.

Ethan liked Rachel but not love. As he was jealous of Chris because Rachel was different and easy to get along with. She was beautiful and talented as a person. Even, her personality was excellent. She would treat everyone friendly and easy to talk to and get along with. She never looked down on others and had a cheerful and straightforward personality. She even knows when to speak and knows herself to get out of trouble. You can trust her and share something.

Ethan, liked Rachel as someone close and important as he became her close friend.

So, all these reasons led Ethan who was a close friend to Chris and a good friend to Rachel to be mad and disappointed in him. Now, he acts like a victim and behaves he had nothing to do with this.

How could Ethan respond to this?

Chris's POV:

He didn't think his action would be this wrong and didn't think Rachel would have suffered like this because of him.

What, Ethan said now was right he was just a love-stricken idiot. When he thought about how he behaved with Rachel, he could think what he did to her was beyond redemption. He owns her a lot. Because of his stupid actions and his selfishness, Rachel has suffered.

Chris, who was thinking hard and feeling suffocated looked at Ethan who was glaring at him with hatred. He, also want to ask how in the world did he know all things about Rachel. Even, he didn't know?

So, he looked at Ethan and asked "How did you know all this?"

He was even having thoughts that Rachel went to tell everyone how he treated her and maybe something happened between them. He was doubting because of how Ethan defended Rachel.

But, he didn't dare to ask.

"You, seriously did you think Rachel told me everything and complained about you. Grow up, man. She didn't tell shit about you to anyone." Ethan looked at me told angrily.

Taking a deep breath he told, "It, was Rick. When he learned you cheated on Rachel he went to her to ask if could be of any help to her. You, know he was very interested in Rachel and even tried to court her, right?"

When he said, Rick. I couldn't help clean my fist and grit my teeth. When I was dating Rachel that basta*d was courting Rachel many times. I even fought with him. Being, my friend going after my women.

But, I didn't think even after we got married he is still trying to court her.

"Don't think too much. He, cared for her as a friend even though he couldn't have her and he was just concerned about her" Ethan told me as I was thinking a long time.

"He contacted me and we both went to Rachel and learned what happened that's when she told you took Blake away from her and you know what she was ready to give divorce the moment you took Blake away from her and told us she was done with you,'' Ethan said.

What he said just now shocked me! She was done with me the moment I took Blake away from her but why did she take months to give divorce when she was ready?

"But, why did she take time to divorce me, when she told you she was done with me," I asked shocked by the news and doubting what he just said.

"Fu*king a*shole think, would you. What happened to you did you turn to fool all of a sudden." Ethan was raged and he shouted at me.

"She didn't dare to give you divorce because she was afraid if she gave you divorce her relationship with her son would come to an end. Why would she give you a divorce when her son hates her and doesn't want her. Rachel only wanted her son and only cared about him not you. She, was helpless when you took him away from her and she was scared if she divorced you she won't be able to see her son even if you guys shared custody.

Because of Blake only she didn't want to give you divorce or else she would have divorced you the moment you told her you to want to get a divorce. Did you think, she will shamelessly stick around you knowing you were cheating behind her back?" Ethan, said as was watching a fool who could not understand anything.

"I didn't think it was like this. I don't know...." Chris said tried and rejected.

"Chris, let's end this here. It was useless to talk about this. Rachel, truly loved you considered you and your family as her family. When you cheated on your back she was devastated and broken and that was not the end you even took her son away from her how many times she came to your company and how many times she tried to contact you. You didn't even see her and told her you only will talk about divorce." Ethan said helplessly.

"She was even more broken completely when her son hated her and when you took her away from her to live with Natalie happily. Did, you how broken she would be? Did, you realise how to hurt she must be when she couldn't even celebrate Blake birthday, worse you even blacklisted her. Did you think how hurt she was when her son was calling another person like her mom and her husband was loving other women with her son? You, even blackmail her for full custody." Ethan said painfully when he told Chris's even he was feeling bad when he told Chris.

"One could say you mentally abused her," Ethan mumbled in a low voice.

Ethan got up looked at him and said "Fix everything before too late. Help, Blake to see Rachel first and your relationship with Natalie it's up to you." He left.

Chris was feeling and felt horrible as he was drinking the whole bottle to get himself out of it.

In the end, he knows he deserves all these things. Even, his best friend think lowly and looked down on him.
