So without further ado, the chapter-

A regrettable notion on his part, for what Justin had seen, he wished he could forget. He looked on in shock at Avalon settled, in the grass, at the trunk of a tree.

Not just that though as a boy of curly brown hair lay on her lap. She stroked blissfully through his hair; they looked into each other's eyes without a care in the world.

"When, Ava? I need to know." The boy urged, his voice strained. He sat up abruptly before putting a hand on Avalon's waist. Justin did his best to keep composure. He needed to hear this.

The boy spoke again.

"I don't wanna hide it from anyone. Your body belongs to me and I want to shout that at the top of my lungs." He murmured sweetly, pressing his lips to her neck.

Avalon giggled at this and that was when Justin broke. She pushed the boy away from her neck with a smile before taking ahold of his hand. Her voice was soft and sweet as she spoke, a tone that Justin had gotten familiar with hearing when she talked with Aaron.

"I know, I'm yours, Eli. Please, understand that, okay? I'm yours." She whispered before leaning in to kiss the boy. He kissed back feverishly before they both lay in the grass, facing each other. His hand was strewn across her waist and her hand rested on his face as she slowly caressed him.

How Avalon got into an affair with Elliot in the first place- Part 2

With one final eye contact, Avalon made her way over to her own designated seating area, right beside the new student. It was time to finally meet the boy all the girls were talking about. She could feel all eyes on her yet again, as always, and she liked it. She liked it more than anything else and her lips quirked up in a friendly smile.

Upon reaching her seat, she could feel his eyes turn to her. Perhaps, it was out of curiosity or perhaps it was due to a new face into his roster, Avalon didn't know but nor did she care so long as he too was another that was looking to her.

Still, she didn't turn to him, no; she wouldn't. Her mother had said one thing to her as advice for being able to make friends with both sexes. With girls, Avalon had learnt that becoming close to them was a matter of finding a common ground and this didn't just pertain to hobbies. Women didn't like other girls who were vastly different to them. It came off either as odd or a threat, so modesty was important as well as showing to be kind-heartened.

With men, however, her mother had said they liked quite the opposite. Whilst women appreciated the kind warmth of another, men liked the game. If a women was suddenly warm to them, it only diminished their interest and doused their curiosity. Men preferred their women mysterious enough to arouse questions, but not enough to appear cold and that's what Avalon had achieved with all the students within Redwood High. She had mastered it to such a severity that even she would have difficulty distinguishing from her actual nature to the one that she had constructed for the others.

As she sat there, taking her pencil case out of her bag, she could hear the sound of him shuffling into his seat and she still didn't direct a gaze at him. Whilst he was the new one, it would be she that would garner up more curiosity, she'd be sure of it.

"You must be Avalon then?"

The voice was deep, flattened out and Avalon turned at the sudden sound, her eyes falling to him- Elliot. Particularly up close, she could see the allure of his innocence. His eyes were bigger when she came closer, staring at her kindly, like a stag: gaze warm but very strong. She could tell by those very eyes that he was awaiting a response and she smiled at his words, brushing her fringes back with a hand.

"Correct. And... Elliot, right?" She asked sweetly, voice as soft as a feather that floated in air. He smiled at her words, nodding, an action- she noticed- that made his curly hair bop. When he smiled, his nose stretched with the action and she found it only added to his kind allure.

"Or, the new kid; more people have been calling me that anyway." He joked and Avalon laughed, covering her mouth delicately with a hand.

"I think I'll stick to your government name, but thanks for the offer." She responded through giggles and it went silent for a moment as Elliot just looked to her. The silence unnerved her slightly; it left things to question and she did not like that at all. Finally, much to her relief, he drew a sharp breath before speaking.

"Shit, I might come off as too forward, but you're beautiful." He said almost bashfully, scratching at his jaw awkwardly and Avalon blushed at his words, not expecting the sudden compliment. Sure, she knew a lot found her beautiful, but no one would compliment her so outright like this, not when they knew who she was dating. They'd much rather prefer staying silent than facing the wrath of the blue-eyed man. Elliot, however, was a different case altogether. He was still unaware of the inner workings of Redwood High; still clueless to the trio that held everyone under their thumb. I mean, they were part of the football, soccer and track team. Two of their father's were part of the funding group that constructed the school. They, along with their friends, organised a lot of the school events. Their presence was one that was hard too avoid  and, even more so, hard to not like.

Danny ran a small personal training group for gym, free of cost, to help all students to learn proper forms and a diet plan to best help them. And, due to his three older brothers, he had befriended students older than him, spreading his warmth across year groups. He was seen as bubbly and fun-loving.

With him, Aaron had also befriended many through his warmth as well. From his own pocket, he had funded for all students to carpool in sports cars as well as being the head for school's events to raise money for more extravagant school trips.  This, along with his extroverted, playful nature, he had naturally become someone seen as both endearing and charitable.

Justin, whilst not as extroverted as the other two, had also made significant contributions to help the students. He had, without his consent, been elected as the student president. Despite not having shown prior interest in the role, Justin had taken initiative as soon as the school year had begun. Reforming the sports hall, relaxing phone rules during lunch hours, increasing the size of the car park and ensuring toilets were cleaned more regularly- these were some of the things that had changed as soon as he had been elected. Despite his cold outward nature, Justin had made sure to listen to all issues and was seen as someone who was reliable and thoughtful.

Avalon could also add that they were incredibly good looking men as well which only added to their likeability. All of this as a culmination was why the trio had such a strong influence in the school: an influence that any new student would probably not be aware of.

"Sorry, the sudden compliment probably came off as creepy, right?"

Avalon broke out of her thoughts at Elliot's words and shook her head. If anything, hearing compliments was something that made her happy.

"No, a little friendly compliment is fine with me." She reassured him, making sure to add that she didn't mind so long as she didn't think she was accepting any advances. She noticed that he raised his eyebrow at the use of the word friendly but he said nothing of it and that was that.

For the remainder of the lesson, they chatted away and Elliot left no rock unturned in complimenting her: her eyes; her laughter; her handwriting, if he saw it, he praised it and- all the while- Avalon couldn't help but blush. It was, somewhat, refreshing to be treated as though she was a deity that stood miles above him.

With Aaron, of course he complimented her whenever he could, but it was different when she heard from others. Everyone spoke of how lucky she was to acquire such a male. If she was seen as kind then he was seen as a man whose heart knew no bounds; if she was seen as pretty then he was a beauty of which there was no comparison. In essence, he was perfection and she- when compared to him- was his sweet and pretty girlfriend. She was sought by many but none would dare to take away what was Aarons and- all the more- he was sought out more.

Even with Justin, who was her best friend, she knew that she was the one that was seen as the lucky one. They all wished to be her, but not because of her but because of the two boys that doted on her like no other.

So, right now, Avalon couldn't help but feel happy that the praise that was all for her, not about Aaron or Justin; it was all for her.

"Damn, this assignment needs to be finished by the 15th; that's 1 and a half weeks. Looks like a lot of late library sessions to me. You up for it, partner?" Elliot asked with a smile, side glancing to her with those same innocent eyes and she couldn't help it as her lips quirked up.

Mr. Carter had set yet another one of his termly assignments, but for once Avalon wasn't mad at it, no. Often she'd pair up with Vanessa and they'd last minute do a quick job of getting it done, but the case was different now. When Elliot asked to be her assignment partner, she couldn't help but say yes, knowing that such a sweet face would be preyed on by all the curious onlookers. It only made sense that accept his request to keep that curiosity to her, like always.

What is the allure with Avalon that makes all these powerful men gravitate towards her- that's what they'll all say, no doubt.

It made her smile and she couldn't help but laugh at his words.

"Oh, I'm up for it, partner. I'm not sure that you're ready to handle me." She joked and he raised his eyebrow at this just as the bell rang, signalling second period. He didn't seem to fazed at the sound, his lips tilting into a small smirk.

"Trust me, Avalon, I think I'll be the only one to be able to handle you in a way that you'd care for."
