Caroline's New Boyfriend

Mira's POV

It's Thursday and in two days Matt & I will find out the gender of our baby. Then I will be telling Elena and Jeremy about the baby. I am so nervous and really want to talk to Bonnie. Except, right we're at school with Elena. "I'm not saying don't date the guy. I'm just saying take it slow" Bonnie tells Elena.

"You were the one who said to go for it" Elena reminds her.

"She's right" I agree.

"Now I'm saying take it slow" she tells us.

"Why the about face?" we ask her.

"It's not an about-face" she tells us. "You're single for the first time in your entire high school career. It's the perfect time to play the field" Bonnie tells Elena.

"Oh, because I'm so that girl. Seriously, what are you not saying?" Elena asks her.

"It's stupid" Bonnie tells her.

"Bonnie" Elena says.

"What?" she asks.

"Spit it out" Elena tells her.

"I accidentally touched Stefan. And I got a really bad feeling" Bonnie states. I frown.

"Is that it? Bonnie?" she asks.

"It was bad bad" Bonnie tells her.

"Is this the whole witch mojo thing again?" Elena asks.

"You know what? I'm just concerned. This is me expressing concern about my best friend's new boyfriend" Bonnie tells her.

"And I love you for it, I do. But I feel good. It's been a hard year, and I'm starting to kind of feel like things are getting back to normal again. And you know what? Stefan is a big part of that" Elena tells her.

"I'm glad you're starting to feel like the old you" I tell her with a smile.

"Maybe we should set you up with someone" she states.

"Yeah, I am not interested in any of the guys here" I tell her. Just then Stefan joins us. Wishing us all a good morning.

"Hey, um, I gotta find Caroline. She's not answering her phone. So I'll see you guys later" Bonnie states.

"I'll help you" I state and leave with her. "So you really something is wrong with Stefan?" I ask him.

"I don't know, I just got a bad feeling" she tells me.

"Did you have a vision, like you did about my baby?" I ask in a whisper.

"No vision, just a bad feeling" she states. She takes out her phone and tries to call Caroline. But no answer. I try to call her and the same thing.

"If she doesn't show at practice, we'll go by her house" I tell her. She nods her head in agreement. We head o our first class.

(Time skip)

I'm no the bleachers watching the cheerleaders stretch and the football time is practicing also. I'm not a cheerleader, it never interested me. Elena only did it to make mum happy and to spend more time with Caroline & Bonnie. Speaking of Caroline, she hasn't shown up yet and I am starting to worry.

Just then a blue Chevy Camaro Convertible with it's roof down arrives. I notice Caroline inside with a dark hair man. He looked to be in his twenty's and he is hot. I get up and head over as Care kissed him. Before getting out. "Hi Mira" she says with a smile.

"Who's he?" I ask her.

"My new boyfriend, Damon Salvatore" she says with a smug smile. "Thanks for the ride" she tells him before heading to the other cheerleaders.

"So you're Mira, Stefan mentioned you" Damon says with a smirk.

"So you're Stefan's older brother?" I ask.

"Yep" he says. "Congrats on the baby" he adds and I look at him shocked.

"How did you know?" I demand.

"Lucky guess" he says with a smirk.

"Well don't tell anyone" I tell him.

"Secret is safe with me, need a lift?" he asks me.

"No, just don't hurt Caroline" I tell him. I return to the bleachers to watch the girls practice. Afterwards, Elena drives me home and tells me she'd invited Stefan & Bonnie over for dinner. I said I'd cook, but she has to do the salad.

(Time skip)

Elena, Bonnie and I are in the kitchen. I have a lasagna in the oven. While Bonnie and Elena set the table. Putting the salad Elena had brought into a bowl. Bonnie complaining about being a witch again. "Putting it in a nice bowl isn't fooling anybody" she tells Elena.

"Ok, serving spoons. Where are the serving spoons?" Elena asks.

"Middle drawer on your left" Bonnie and I tell her. She opens it, taking out the spoons. Bonnie looks a little freaked, that she was right.

"Ok, so you've been in this kitchen like a thousand times" Elena tells her.

"Yeah, that's it" Bonnie says. The doorbell sounds. Elena goes to answer it and let Stefan in. Bonnie grabs the handle of another draw. "Birthday candles" she says and opens it to reveal birthday candles.

"It's fine Bonnie" I assure her. "We'll deal with it tomorrow" I state. Elena appears with Stefan as the timer goes off. "Dinner is ready" I say with a smile and take the lasagna out of the oven. I serve the food and we all sit down the eat.

Things are a little awkward. So Elena suggested Bonnie tell Stefan about witches being in her family. "Bonnie's family has a lineage of witches. It's really cool" Elena tells him with a smile.

"Cool isn't the word I'd use" Bonnie mumbles.

"I would" I say with a smile.

"Well, it's certainly interesting. I'm not too versed, but I do know that there's a history of Celtic druids that migrated here in the 1800s" Stefan states.

"My family came by way of Salem" Bonnie tells him.

"Really? Salem witches?" he asks intrigued.

"Yeah" Bonnie says.

"I would say that's pretty cool" he tells her.

"Really? Why?" she asks him.

"Salem witches are heroic examples of individualism and nonconformity" Stefan explains.

"Yeah, they are" Bonnie says with a smile. Elena and I share one. We finish dinner and I head to the kitchen to put the leftovers in the fridge.

"Need help?" Stefan asks as he appears with the plates.

"No, I got it" I assure him. The door bell rings. "Can you get that Elena?" I ask. She agrees and heads to the door. As I fill the sink to soak the plates, Stefan left. Soon Caroline appears with a dessert dish.

"Damon and I brought dessert" she tells me.

"Well you know where the bowls are" I tell her. She gets to work as I put the plates in the sink. I then carried the dessert to the living room with her. "Hi Damon" I say as we hand the bowls out.

"Hi Mira, lovely home you have" he tells me.

"Thank you" I say as I sit beside Bonnie. Elena tells Damon and Caroline how Stefan made the football time.

"I cannot believe that Mr. Tanner let you on the team. Tyler must be seething. But good for you. Go for it" Care tells him.

"That's what I always tell him. You have to engage. You can't just sit there and wait for life to come to you. You have to go get it" Damon tells us.

"Yeah, Elena wasn't so lucky today. It's only because you missed summer camp. God, I don't know how you're ever going to learn the routines" Care states.

"I'll work with her. She'll get it" Bonnie assures her.

"You know, you don't seem like the cheerleader type, Elena" Damon states.

"Oh, it's just 'cause her parents died. Yeah, I mean, she's just totally going through a blah phase. She used to be way more fun. And I say that with complete sensitivity" Care says.

"I've lost my appetite, good night" I tell them. I put my bowl in the sink and head to my room. I got ready for bed trying not to cry, stupid hormones.

I didn't go to friday nights game. Due to a bad case of morning sickness. But I wished Matt luck. And Elena quit cheer leading, but went to support Stefan. I just chilled at home with Aunt Jenna and a bucket.
