Next 10 Weeks

Author's Note: This chapter contains summaries for the next four episodes. I just want Mira's to have her baby quicker. Will return to normal next chapter with one chapter per-episode or stand alone chapters in between two episodes. Hope you enjoy this chapter.

(October 31st 2009 - Haunted) Mira's POV

It's been a month, aka four and half weeks since Vicki completed her transition into becoming a vampire. I am now nearly 25 weeks pregnant. Only fifteen more to go, before my baby is born. We've started to set up the nursery. When Matt and Jeremy aren't helping search for Vicki, who is at the Salvatores learning to control herself. Elena has actually gone to check on her today. But not me, I am not risking the life of my unborn baby by going to see a newbie vampire.

So I went to school. I was talking to Bonnie when Caroline joins us with two bags. "I have got your costumes. It's all here" she says handing us each a bag.

"Caroline, I'm not going. Remember" I remind her.

"But you love Halloween" she states.

"I'm also 25 weeks pregnant, so I won't be going. Thanks anyway" I tell her. Handing back the bag she had given me. As Bonnie looks at her costume, it is a witch one.

"Seriously?" she asks Caroline.

"Come on. Can someone please be excited that it's Halloween? I just wanna have fun, you know, just some silly, fluffy, Damon free fun" Caroline tells her.

"Hey, isn't this the one you got from Damon?" Bonnie asks holding a necklace with an amber crystal.

"Yep. Wear it. Toss it. I don't care. I just want it gone. Hey, have either of you seen Elena? Do we know what she's wearing?" Care asks us.

"I was with Grams all weekend. I haven't talked to her. Maybe she's with Stefan" Bonnie states.

"She did say she was going to the Salvatore house before school. Didn't say anything about a costume, but I will make sure she'll go tonight" I assure Caroline. We then all went to class.

I did as I said I would. I convinced Elena to go to the Halloween party at school. She took Jeremy with her. While Jenna and I took a night off healthy food. And eat a tun of junk food eating, watching Princess Dairies. Before she went to bed as she has a presentation in the morning.

Jeremy came home a mess. Vicki has attacked him and Elena, and Stefan killed her. As in staked her in the heart dead. Damon came over and made Jeremy forget, against my wishes. Anyway I got ready for bed and wrote in my journal. Before going to bed.

(November 1st 2009 - 162 Candles) Mira's POV

It's the day after Vicki died. I've sort of been avoiding Matt. How can I look him in the eye, knowing his sister is dead? So I've been focused on setting up the paint nursery. I don't have to worry about a baby shower as Caroline has it covered for me. She is the best, best friend ever.

Matt, Stefan, Elena and Jeremy went to the police station to give a report on Vicki. Who has been named a missing person. When Elena and Jeremy got home. Elena and Jenna went on the couch to wallow in self pity. While Jeremy and I get started on his homework. He'd asked for my help. "Wanna keep it down over there?" Jeremy asks the other two.

"Why? What are you doing?" Jenna asks.

"Homework" Jeremy answers.

"I'm helping him" I add.

"Since when do you do homework?" Elena asks him shocked.

"I gotta finish this. I'm way behind and I have a quiz tomorrow" Jeremy states.

"Don't worry, you'll pass" I assure him. As the other try to figure out if Jeremy is an alien or some sort of replicant. "We can hear you" I tell them and they shut up. Jeremy and I continued to study. Until I was invited to a party at the grill by Caroline.

I arrive and spot Caroline. "Hi Elena" someone says behind me. I turn and frown at the blonde. Who is she?

"I'm not Elena" I tell her and I place a hand on my stomach as little Grayson kicked me. She looks at my stomach shocked. Caroline calls me over. "Bye" I tell the girl and go join Caroline. Who is drinking. "Damon?" I ask and she nods her head. "Tell me all about it" I tell her.

She does so and is soon beyond drunk. I notice Stefan with the blonde girl who had called me Elena playing pool. While Elena is at table alone. Matt joins Caroline and I. Caroline stumbled into him. "I slim---I'm slipped. I slipped" Care drawls.

"Hammered, huh?" Matt asks me.

"Yep, I was about to take her home" I tell him.

"Well...a very nice but not handsome bartender was very kind to me tonight. Unlike the rest of the global universe, aside from Mira. Are those curly fries?" Care asks.

"Coffee for the drunk girl and hot chocolate for the pregnant one" Matt tells the bar tender. Who nods and goes to make our drinks. "Bad night huh?" he asks Care as he has her sit down.

"Baddest. Am I shallow?" Care asks him.

"For the hundredth time, you are not shallow" I tell her annoyed.

"I don't mean to be. I wanna be deep. I wanna be, like...the abyss deep" Care states.

"No offense, Care, but deep's really not your scene" Matt tells her. I glare at him, so not helping.

"That's true. I'm shallow, I am worst than shallow, I'm a kiddie pool!" Care whines.

"You're not a kiddie pool" we tell her.

"Can I just go home okay?" Care asks.

"I'll take you come on. You're okay" Matt says helping her up. She couldn't stay on her feet and Matt lifted her into his arms. "Do you need a ride?" he asks me.

"No, I drove. Just get her home safe ok" I say we head outside we run into Care's mum. She asks what happened to Caroline. "Had one to many" I mutter.

"You're drunk?" she asks her shocked.

"As a skunk" Care murmurs.

"Are they serving you in there?" she asks Matt and I.

"Not all of us" I say.

"I'll take her home. It's on my way. I haven't been drinking" Matt states.

"I'm also going home" I add.

"I would appreciate that, Matt, thank you. You take it easy Mira" she tells us. "You and I will discuss this later" she tells Caroline. Before we go our separate ways. I drive myself home and call it a night.

(November 30th 2009 - History Repeating) Mira's POV

I am now thirty weeks pregnant and we have a new history teacher. And it's also my last day of school for the year. I won't be back until Grayson only needs feeding every 3 - 5 hours. So when he is around four months old. I due to give birth at the end or January or beginning of February. So I'll return to school in May, but will be continuing my classes online.

I've had my baby shower. It was last week. Just me and the girls. Along with Aunt Jenna. It was a lot of fun and Care got my future son a ton of clothes. Jenna and Elena got me a car seat/ stroller. Bonnie got a basket of stuffed toys. She also told me she is really a witch, which is super cool. She had told Elena already.

Anyway, back to school. I am in history and the new teacher arrives. Writing his name on the board. "Good Morning everyone. Alrighty" he says turning to face us. "Alaric Saltzman. It's a mouthful, I know. Doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Saltzman is of German origins. My family emigrated here in 1755 to Texas. I, however, was born and raised in Boston. Now the name Alaric belongs to a very dead great-grandfather I will never be able to thank enough. You'll probably want to pronounce Alaric but it's Alaric, okay? So, you can call me Rick. I'm your new history teacher" he states.

School wasn't so bad. I noticed something going on with Matt and Caroline. I wonder if something happened that night Matt took her home? After school Jenna thought I should celebrate. So took Jeremy and I to the grill. Where Jeremy tells us about Mr Saltzman giving him a second chance in history. Jeremy and I even introduced her to him, as he was at the Grill.

Anyway, Jeremy and I ditched Jenna. Leaving her with Mr Saltzman. We went home and saw Bonnie leave in a hurry. When we opened the door, Care left in a huff and Elena looked freaked about something. She told me, she'd fill me in later. Before calling Stefan. Jeremy and I went to our separate rooms, calling it a night.

(December 2nd 2009- Turning Point) Mira's POV

So Elena filled me in on what happened  a couple of nights ago. About Bonnie being possessed by her ancestor Emily and her destroying the necklace. How Bonnie now knows vampires exist. Honestly, I'm surprised her Grams didn't tell her about them. Anyway it's career night at the school today. Even though I am no longer studying there, Jenna wants me to go. So that I can have an idea of what I want to do in future.

But honestly, I'll be raising a baby during my senior year next year. I am thinking of taking a gap year after high school. Just to focus on being a mum. Before going to uni. But it would be good to have a career plan in position. So I agreed to go.

Anyway, Jeremy has been sketching again and I am so happy. I have my old brother back. Yes, I know it was wrong for Damon to compel him. But I got my old baby brother back and I am so happy to see him as himself again.

Stefan is apparently leaving town with Damon. I couldn't be happier. It'd be a lot safer without vampires around. Though Elena is upset, she was finally ready to give Stefan a chance and he told her he is leaving. I feel bad for my sister, but I'm sure she'll get over it. Speaking of guys, Logan Fell is back and is trying to get back with Jenna. But she slammed the door in his face, serves him right.

"So any ideas?" Jenna asks me as we walk around the school. Looking at the displays.

"I don't know, I'd like to be able to work from home. But I always wanted to teach" I tell her.

"By the time you get your diplomas, your little one will be in school" she tells me.

"You do have a point" I state. "Lets go look at those displays" I tells her.

"Oh no Logan, lets hide" she tells me. Leading me away from him. We find Elena and Stefan. Telling them about Logan, before he appeared.

"Um, Elena, why don't you, Mira and Jenna go somewhere else?" Stefan asks us. We agree and left him with Logan. Jenna and I go to the teacher displays. While Elena said she needed the loo. She never came back and I went home with Jenna. Calling it a night.
