Chapter 28: Chapter 26

Forbidden Love... Kenan Yıldız & Y/NWords: 5651

The First Breakthrough

The morning light crept into the apartment, but Y/N hardly noticed. She hadn’t slept. Her mind had been racing all night, replaying every unsettling message, every suspicious glance she’d caught in public. She was exhausted—physically and emotionally—but the fear kept her wide awake.

Rosé and Duru were in the kitchen when Kenan arrived, holding a bag of fresh smoothie ingredients, granola, and a small bouquet of wildflowers.

Kenan: “Morning. Thought you could all use something healthy today.”

Rosé: “Someone’s on a health kick. What’s with the flowers?”

Kenan: shrugging “For Y/N. Thought they might brighten her day.”

Rosé smirked, but her expression softened when she glanced at Y/N, who was sitting on the couch, staring blankly at the floor.

Kenan: lowering his voice “How’s she doing?”

Duru: “Not great. She barely slept.”

Kenan Comforts Y/N

Kenan walked over to Y/N and gently placed the flowers on the coffee table. She looked up, her eyes glassy from lack of sleep.

Kenan: softly “Hey. How are you holding up?”

Y/N: forcing a smile “I’m fine.”

Kenan: sitting next to her “You don’t look fine. Talk to me, Y/N.”

Her composure cracked, and before she could stop herself, tears began streaming down her face. Kenan immediately wrapped his arms around her, pulling her into his chest.

Y/N: between sobs “I can’t do this, Kenan. I feel like someone’s always watching me. I can’t even sleep. I’m so scared.”

Kenan: holding her tighter “You’re not alone in this. I’m here. We’re all here. And whoever is doing this won’t get away with it.”

Y/N clung to him, her tears soaking into his shirt. For the first time, she let herself be vulnerable, letting go of the fear she’d been holding inside.

Kenan: softly “I’ll stay with you, okay? You don’t have to face this by yourself.”

Kenan Stays

Later that evening, as the group settled in for the night, Y/N quietly approached Kenan.

Y/N: “I don’t think I can sleep alone tonight.”

Kenan: “You don’t have to. I’ll stay with you.”

She nodded, grateful for his steady presence. As they sat on her bed, Y/N finally began to relax. Kenan leaned against the headboard, and she curled up next to him, her head resting on his shoulder.

Kenan: “Try to sleep. I’ll be right here.”

Y/N: whispering “Thank you.”

Kenan: brushing a strand of hair from her face “Always.”

Detective Kaya’s Call

The next morning, Y/N woke up to the sound of her phone buzzing. Kenan was still sitting beside her, scrolling through his phone while keeping an eye on her. She quickly answered when she saw Detective Kaya’s name.

Detective Kaya: “Good morning, Y/N. We’ve made some progress.”

Y/N: “What did you find?”

Detective Kaya: “The messages were traced to an IP address registered to Cem Arslan, a digital PR consultant. Does that name mean anything to you?”

Y/N frowned. Cem had worked briefly with her team during a project two years ago. He had always been professional but distant, and she hadn’t given him a second thought since.

Y/N: “I know him, but we haven’t spoken in years. Why would he be doing this?”

Detective Kaya: “That’s what we’re trying to figure out. We’ll be looking into his recent activities and connections. For now, I’d advise staying cautious and keeping your inner circle informed.”

---

Sharing the News

The group gathered in the living room as Y/N recounted what Detective Kaya had told her.

Barış: “Cem Arslan? That guy’s not exactly a big name. Why would he be targeting you?”

Rosé: “Maybe he’s working for someone else. Someone who has a grudge against Y/N.”

Duru: “Or maybe he’s just trying to stir up drama to make a name for himself.”

Kenan: “Whatever his motive, it’s personal. He’s not just targeting Y/N’s career—he’s going after her.”

Y/N: “I hate this. I hate feeling so powerless.”

Kenan: squeezing her hand “You’re not powerless. And you’re not alone. We’ll figure this out.”

---

A Chilling Post

Later that evening, Barış was scrolling through social media when he stumbled upon another post from the anonymous account. It read:

"You think you’re safe? The truth always finds its way out."

Barış: showing his phone to the group “It’s them. They’re still watching.”

Y/N felt a chill run down her spine, and her breathing quickened. Kenan immediately pulled her close, his presence grounding her.

Kenan: “Send this to Detective Kaya. They need to see it.”

Rosé: “And we need to stick together. No one goes anywhere alone, understood?”

The group nodded, their determination growing stronger.

A Quiet Moment

As the others began to settle down for the night, Y/N and Kenan found themselves alone in the kitchen. The hum of the refrigerator filled the silence as Y/N absentmindedly stirred her tea.

Kenan: “You’re still scared, aren’t you?”

Y/N: “Of course I am. But I can’t let it stop me.”

Kenan: “You don’t have to do this alone, Y/N. Let me be there for you.”

She looked at him, her eyes softening.

Y/N: “You already are. And I don’t know what I’d do without you.”

Kenan: brushing her cheek “You’ll never have to find out.”

For a brief moment, the weight of the situation lifted, and Y/N allowed herself to feel safe.

Ending Note

The discovery of Cem’s involvement was a step forward, but it brought more questions than answers. Y/N knew the road ahead would be difficult, but with Kenan by her side, she felt a little stronger. Together, they were ready to face whatever came next.
