Chapter 29: Chapter 27

Forbidden Love... Kenan Yıldız & Y/NWords: 5130

Unmasking the Truth

The next morning, Y/N woke up feeling slightly steadier. Kenan had stayed in the apartment that night, ensuring she wasn’t alone. The fear that had consumed her the day before hadn’t disappeared, but it felt manageable with him and her friends by her side.

As she made her way into the kitchen, Rosé handed her a cup of tea.

Rosé: “You slept longer than I expected. Feeling any better?”

Y/N: “A little. Thanks.”

Duru peeked out from the couch.

Duru: “You’re going to need that energy. Detective Kaya said he’d call with updates today.”

Y/N: “I’m ready for whatever they’ve found.”

Kenan walked in, offering her a reassuring smile.

Kenan: “No matter what it is, we’re in this together.”

The Detective’s Update

By mid-morning, Detective Kaya called, and the group gathered in the living room, listening intently as Y/N put the phone on speaker.

Detective Kaya: “Good morning, Y/N. I have some updates. We’ve dug deeper into Cem Arslan’s activities, and it looks like he’s been working with someone else. A journalist named Melis Karaca.”

Y/N: “Melis? Why does that name sound familiar?”

Detective Kaya: “She’s known for writing exposés on celebrities. She’s gained traction in the past year for revealing personal details about public figures. It appears Cem has been feeding her information about you.”

Barış: “So, she’s the one behind the posts and threats?”

Detective Kaya: “Not entirely. Cem seems to be the one coordinating things behind the scenes, but Melis is amplifying it. They’re working together to stir up drama and possibly profit from it.”

Arda: “How do we stop them?”

Detective Kaya: “We’re compiling evidence to confront them legally. But for now, we need to be cautious. They’re likely monitoring your social media and public appearances. Avoid giving them anything they can use.”

Y/N: “This is about money, isn’t it?”

Detective Kaya: “Partially. But it also seems personal on Cem’s part. We’re investigating further to understand his motive.”

Piecing It Together

After the call ended, the group sat in silence, processing the information.

Rosé: “So, Cem’s feeding Melis information, and she’s using it to create a story. Classic tabloid tactics.”

Duru: “But why Y/N? What does Cem have against her?”

Kenan: “Maybe he feels slighted. Didn’t you say he worked on a project with you a few years ago?”

Y/N nodded, her brows furrowed.

Y/N: “He was part of the PR team for my first big project. I barely interacted with him, but I remember hearing that he wasn’t happy when his contract wasn’t renewed.”

Barış: “So this is revenge? That’s pathetic.”

Arda: “Pathetic or not, he’s causing real damage. We need to shut this down.”

Kenan: “We need more evidence. If we can find proof of their connection, it’ll help the police.”

Digging for Clues

Barış and Duru took the lead on scouring social media, looking for more posts or mentions of Y/N and Kenan. Meanwhile, Y/N and Rosé went through old emails and project notes, trying to find anything linking Cem to the current situation.

After hours of searching, Barış found a trail.

Barış: “Guys, look at this.”

He showed the group a series of comments under an anonymous gossip forum, alluding to "inside information" about Y/N and Kenan’s relationship. One of the accounts had been traced back to an email address linked to Melis.

Rosé: “That’s the connection. Melis is using these forums to plant stories and test reactions.”

Duru: “If we show this to Detective Kaya, it could strengthen the case.”

---

Confronting the Fear

As the group prepared to send the new information to Detective Kaya, Y/N took a moment to step outside. Kenan followed her, sensing she needed someone to talk to.

Kenan: “You’ve been quiet. What’s on your mind?”

Y/N: “I just... I hate that this is my life now. I’ve worked so hard to get where I am, and now I feel like it’s all being used against me.”

Kenan: “This isn’t forever. We’re going to stop them, Y/N. You’ll get through this, and you’ll come out stronger.”

Y/N: “I don’t feel strong right now.”

Kenan: taking her hand “You don’t have to be. That’s why you have us. Let us carry some of the weight.”

She smiled faintly, squeezing his hand.

Y/N: “Thank you, Kenan. For everything.”

---

The Detective’s Next Steps

By evening, Detective Kaya called again, thanking them for the additional information.

Detective Kaya: “This is helpful. We’re planning to bring Cem and Melis in for questioning. But be prepared—they might try to retaliate publicly.”

Y/N: “I’m ready. I just want this to end.”

Detective Kaya: “Stay vigilant. And remember, we’re building a case. The more careful you are, the less ammunition they’ll have.”

Ending Note

The pieces of the puzzle were starting to come together, but the battle was far from over. As Y/N and her friends braced themselves for what was to come, they knew they had each other—and that was enough to keep moving forward.
