Chapter 44: The Match and the Celebration

---

The Day of the Match

The atmosphere at the stadium was electric as Türkiye prepared to face one of its fiercest rivals. Fans filled the stands, their cheers and chants reverberating through the air. Rosé and Duru had arrived early, dressed in team colors and armed with small flags.

"This is insane!" Duru said, waving her flag. "I haven’t been to a match in ages."

"It’s always like this when Türkiye plays," Rosé replied, scanning the field. "Do you see Kenan anywhere?"

Duru shook her head.

"Nope. What about Y/N? She should be here by now."

Rosé checked her phone and sighed.

"She’s probably stuck at the studio. You know how she is when she’s working."

Meanwhile, on the field, Kenan was warming up with the team, his sharp focus on the game ahead. But every so often, his eyes would drift to the stands, searching for a familiar face.

"Looking for someone?" Arda teased, nudging him.

"Mind your business," Kenan muttered, though a small smirk betrayed him.

Y/N’s Arrival

Back at the studio, Y/N was finishing her final take. She glanced at the clock and groaned, realizing she was cutting it way too close.

"You’re good to go," the producer said with a smile. "Great work today."

"Thanks," Y/N replied, quickly grabbing her things.

By the time she arrived at the stadium, the match was already about to start. She rushed through the crowd, her heart pounding as she made her way to her seat.

"You made it!" Rosé exclaimed as Y/N slid into the seat beside her.

"Barely," Y/N replied, slightly out of breath.

"Kenan was looking for you," Duru added with a grin.

Y/N glanced toward the field, her eyes locking with Kenan’s just as he turned in her direction. His expression softened, and he gave her a quick nod before turning back to his teammates.

The Game

The match began with a burst of energy, both teams fighting fiercely for dominance. Türkiye’s players moved with precision, their determination palpable.

Kenan was in top form, his every move calculated and impactful. The crowd roared with every pass and tackle, their energy pushing the team forward.

Midway through the second half, Kenan received a perfect pass and, with a swift strike, sent the ball soaring into the net. The stadium erupted in cheers, the noise almost deafening.

As the team celebrated, Kenan broke away, running toward the stands. He spun once, placed a hand over his chest, and ended with a playful finger heart directed at the crowd.

Rosé’s jaw dropped.

"Did he just...?"

Duru nodded, her eyes wide.

"That’s Y/N’s move!"

Y/N froze, her mind racing as she replayed the gesture in her head. It was unmistakable—a signature move she had done during one of her concerts, one that had gone viral among fans.

"He copied me," Y/N murmured, a mix of disbelief and emotion washing over her.

Rosé grinned.

"That’s the cutest thing I’ve ever seen."

Y/N couldn’t help the blush that crept up her cheeks as she watched Kenan rejoin his teammates, his expression calm but undeniably proud.

Post-Match Celebration

After the match, the group headed to Kenan, Arda, and Barış’s apartment to celebrate. The mood was light and joyous, with laughter and conversation filling the space. Snacks were spread out on the coffee table, and the TV played highlights from the game.

Barış was the first to bring up Kenan’s celebration.

"So, what was that move, huh?" he asked, smirking. "You’re not usually one for theatrics."

Kenan shrugged, his eyes flicking to Y/N briefly.

"Just thought it fit the moment."

Duru leaned forward, her grin mischievous.

"Oh, it definitely fit the moment. Especially since it’s Y/N’s move."

All eyes turned to Y/N, who tried to hide her embarrassment behind her glass of water.

"I can’t believe you did that," she said, her voice quiet but tinged with emotion.

Kenan met her gaze, his expression softening.

"It felt right. You inspire me, Princess. Thought it was time I showed it."

The room fell silent for a moment before Rosé broke the tension with a loud cheer.

"Okay, that’s officially the sweetest thing I’ve ever heard."

"I second that," Duru added, clapping her hands.

The Party Continues

As the night went on, the group relaxed into their usual rhythm of playful banter and teasing. Barış tried to convince Arda to play a game of FIFA, while Rosé and Duru debated over what music to play.

Y/N found herself sitting beside Kenan on the couch, their shoulders brushing.

"You really surprised me today," she admitted, her voice quiet.

Kenan smirked, leaning closer.

"Good surprise or bad surprise?"

"Good," Y/N replied, a small smile tugging at her lips.

Kenan reached out, gently tucking a strand of hair behind her ear.

"Then I’d say it was worth it."

Before Y/N could respond, Barış called out from across the room.

"Are you two going to sit there whispering all night, or are you joining the fun?"

Y/N laughed, shaking her head.

"Let’s join before he starts another debate."

Kenan chuckled, standing up and offering her a hand.

"Lead the way, Princess."

A Night to Remember

As the night wound down, Y/N couldn’t help but feel a sense of contentment. Surrounded by her friends and with Kenan by her side, she realized just how much these moments meant to her.

Kenan’s gesture during the match had caught her off guard, but it was a reminder of how much he cared—a feeling that left her both flustered and deeply happy.

And as the group laughed and joked late into the night, Y/N couldn’t help but think that, for once, everything felt exactly as it should be.
