Chapter 47: Soft Moments and Unspoken Promises
---
The Morning Start
The sunlight seeped through the curtains of Y/Nâs apartment as Rosé walked lazily into the kitchen, finding Y/N already awake with a cup of green tea. Duru sat on the counter, eating a sliced apple and scrolling through her phone.
"Youâve been up early a lot lately," Rosé said, pouring herself some coffee. "Whatâs going on?"
Y/N shrugged, not looking up.
"I guess I just like the quiet in the mornings."
"You mean before Kenan texts you with whatever plan heâs cooked up?" Duru teased, throwing a grape in Y/Nâs direction.
Y/N caught the grape and smiled, shaking her head.
"Heâs not that predictable."
Just as she said that, her phone buzzed on the table. Rosé peeked over her mug.
"Bet itâs him."
Y/N unlocked her phone, revealing a message from Kenan:
"Morning, Princess. Be ready at noon. Donât ask why, just trust me."
"I KNEW IT!" Duru shouted triumphantly. "Heâs so predictable."
"And yet," Rosé added with a grin, "you still light up every time he texts you."
Y/N flushed, quickly locking her phone.
"Itâs not like that. He just likes surprising me, thatâs all."
Rosé smirked.
"Sure. Keep telling yourself that."

The Surprise
At noon, Y/N found Kenan waiting downstairs. He leaned casually against his car, sunglasses perched on his nose, looking effortlessly charming.
"Youâre late," he teased as she approached.
"Itâs literally 12:01," Y/N shot back, rolling her eyes.
Kenan opened the passenger door for her with a playful bow.
"Hop in, Princess. Your chariot awaits."
Y/N slid into the seat, her curiosity growing.
"Are you going to tell me where weâre going?"
Kenan smirked as he started the car.
"Nope. Youâll find out soon enough."
The drive was peaceful, with soft music playing in the background. Kenan occasionally glanced at Y/N, his eyes warm and full of affection.
After about twenty minutes, they pulled up to a small, picturesque cafe tucked away in a quiet part of the city. It was surrounded by blooming flowers and had a cozy patio.
"You brought me here?" Y/N asked, stepping out of the car.
"Thought you might like it," Kenan replied, leading her to a table near the window.
The cafe was quiet, with only a few other customers. As they sat down, Y/N couldnât help but smile at the thoughtfulness behind Kenanâs choice.
"Youâre really good at this romantic stuff," she said, taking a sip of the herbal tea heâd ordered for her.
Kenan grinned.
"I try. Youâre worth it."

Soft Conversations
As they ate, their conversation drifted to lighter topics.
"Did you ever think this is where youâd end up?" Y/N asked, stirring her tea.
Kenan leaned back in his chair, considering her question.
"Playing football? Yeah, it was always the dream. But everything else? No way. I didnât think Iâd have... this."
"This?" Y/N echoed, raising an eyebrow.
"You," Kenan said simply, his gaze steady.
Y/N blinked, caught off guard by his honesty. She looked down at her plate, trying to hide her blush.
"Youâre too smooth for your own good."
Kenan chuckled, reaching across the table to gently take her hand.
"Iâm just being honest, Princess."
Y/N smiled softly, her fingers brushing against his.
"Thank you. For today, and... for everything."
"Always," Kenan replied, his voice low but sincere.

The Group's Gathering
Later that evening, the group met at Kenan, Arda, and BarıÅâs apartment for another casual hangout. Duru and Rosé were already teasing BarıŠabout his terrible karaoke skills when Y/N and Kenan walked in.
"Finally!" Rosé exclaimed. "We thought youâd decided to skip out on us."
"Kenan wouldnât let that happen," BarıŠteased. "Heâd probably kidnap her if she tried."
Kenan smirked, his arm draped casually around Y/Nâs shoulders.
"Not wrong."
Y/N rolled her eyes, though the small smile on her face gave her away.

Teasing Rosé
As the group settled in, the conversation inevitably turned to Roséâs love lifeâor lack thereof.
"Rosé, seriously," BarıŠsaid, grinning. "How do you not have a boyfriend? Youâre the only single one here!"
"Thatâs because I have standards," Rosé shot back, crossing her arms.
"Too high, if you ask me," Duru added with a laugh.
Rosé glared at her.
"Youâre supposed to be on my side!"
"I am," Duru said innocently. "I just think you need to give people a chance."
"I give people plenty of chances," Rosé argued.
"Sure you do," BarıŠsaid, his tone dripping with sarcasm.
The group erupted into laughter, with Rosé burying her face in her hands.

A Sweet End to the Day
As the night wound down, Y/N and Kenan found themselves alone in her room, sitting on the floor beside her bed. Kenan had noticed her guitar earlier and had insisted she play something for him.
"Iâm not that good," Y/N protested, holding the guitar awkwardly.
"Youâre amazing, Princess. Stop doubting yourself," Kenan said, his voice soft.
Y/N sighed, strumming a few chords before starting to play a soft melody. Kenan watched her intently, his expression full of admiration.
When she finished, she set the guitar down and looked up at him.
"Happy now?"
Kenan smiled, leaning closer.
"More than happy."
Before she could respond, he leaned in and kissed her softly. It wasnât rushed or overly dramaticâjust a simple, heartfelt gesture that made her heart flutter.
When he pulled back, he rested his forehead against hers.
"I love you," he whispered.
Y/N blinked, her cheeks heating up.
"Youâre not supposed to say that so casually," she muttered, though her smile betrayed her.
"I mean it," Kenan said, his eyes locked on hers.
"I know," Y/N replied, her voice barely audible. "I love you too."
For the first time in a long time, everything felt perfect.
