Chapter 7: Chapter 6

Forbidden Love... Kenan Yıldız & Y/NWords: 6333

The Morning After

Y/N’s alarm blared at 6:30 a.m., jolting her awake from a deep, much-needed sleep. She groaned, fumbling to silence it. Her body ached, a familiar soreness from the previous day’s practice.

She shuffled into the kitchen, still half-asleep, and spotted Rosé curled up on the couch, snoring softly. Y/N crossed her arms and leaned against the doorframe.

“Rosé,” she called softly. No response.

“Rosé!” she said louder, clapping her hands for emphasis.

Rosé groaned, burying her face into the pillow. “Five more minutes…”

“You said that yesterday, and we were late,” Y/N said, already debating grabbing a glass of water to wake her properly.

Just then, Duru strolled into the kitchen, fully dressed and fresh-faced. She grabbed an apple from the counter and leaned casually against it.

“Good morning, sunshine,” Duru said with a smirk, clearly enjoying Y/N’s struggle.

Y/N raised an eyebrow. “Why do you look so… awake?”

“Because I don’t have practice today,” Duru replied with a grin. “Unlike you two.”

Y/N rolled her eyes. “Thanks for the reminder.”

Duru’s smile widened. “By the way, don’t tire yourself out too much. I have a surprise for you guys later.”

Y/N blinked. “Surprise?”

“You’ll see,” Duru said cryptically before leaving the room.

Rosé finally sat up, her hair a mess, rubbing her eyes. “Why are you yelling so early?”

“It’s 7:00 a.m., Rosé. Move it,” Y/N said, grabbing her bag.

At Practice: 8:00 a.m.

The studio buzzed with energy as Y/N and Rosé arrived, joining their group for another grueling day of training. The schedule was packed—vocal lessons, choreography, rap practice, and meetings.

The rap lessons kicked off first. Y/N delivered her verses flawlessly, her rhythm and delivery on point, earning a nod of approval from the instructor. Rosé, however, struggled to stay in sync.

“Rosé, you’re falling behind on the beat again,” the instructor said.

Rosé groaned under her breath, muttering, “I’m trying…”

Y/N gave her an encouraging nudge. “Relax. Don’t overthink it.”

They moved on to vocal lessons, where Rosé hit another rough patch.

“That note is flat,” the instructor pointed out, shaking their head.

Y/N leaned closer to her and whispered, “You’re not supporting your voice enough. Use your diaphragm.”

Rosé sighed. “Easier said than done.”

“You’ll get it,” Y/N said with a small smile.

Afternoon: Practice Ends

By 4:30 p.m., the girls dragged themselves out of the studio, utterly spent.

“I cannot believe I messed up so much today,” Rosé grumbled, her voice heavy with frustration.

“I told you staying up late was a bad idea,” Y/N said, smirking.

Rosé shot her a glare. “Thanks for the reminder, Captain Obvious.”

Y/N chuckled but added, “You’re overthinking that note. Relax and just feel it.”

“Oh, sure. Why don’t you show me again, Ms. Perfect?” Rosé challenged.

Y/N hummed the note Rosé had missed, then sang it flawlessly. “Like this. Support, relax, and let it out.”

Rosé groaned but tried to copy it as they approached their house. Her voice wavered slightly.

“Nope,” Y/N said, stopping in her tracks. “You’re not letting your chest open. Try again.”

Rosé tried again, this time closer to Y/N’s version.

“Better,” Y/N said with a small smile.

Rosé grinned triumphantly. “Ha! I’m getting there.”

Just as they opened the door mid-conversation, Y/N froze. The living room was packed with people. Duru stood by the door, beaming, while Kenan, Barış, Arda, and a table filled with snacks greeted them.

“Surprise!” Duru exclaimed, throwing her arms out dramatically.

The Living Room

Y/N blinked, her tired brain struggling to process. “What… is this?”

“I thought you two could use a little pick-me-up after your long day,” Duru said, clearly proud of herself.

Rosé lit up instantly, her fatigue forgotten. “You’re the best, Duru!”

Y/N, however, groaned, dropping her bag by the door. “Duru… I love you, but I just spent eight hours singing, rapping, dancing, and trying not to pass out. I’m not sure I can handle this right now.”

Kenan smirked from his spot on the couch. “You look like you’ve been through a war.”

Y/N shot him a tired glare but couldn’t suppress a small smile. “Thanks for the reminder.”

The Teasing Begins

The group settled in, chatting and laughing, while Y/N tried to stay out of the lively energy. Kenan noticed her slouching in the corner and leaned over.

“You sure you’re not going to fall asleep right there?” he asked.

Y/N opened one eye. “If I did, would you leave me alone?”

“Not a chance,” Kenan replied with a smirk.

Duru, sitting across the room, exchanged a look with Arda and then leaned toward Kenan. “Hey, didn’t you drive Y/N home last night? That was sweet of you.”

Y/N immediately straightened up. “Duru, don’t start.”

“What? I’m just saying it was thoughtful of him,” Duru said innocently.

Rosé, catching on, smirked. “Oh, definitely. Very thoughtful. Y/N must’ve felt really special.”

“Guys,” Y/N warned, her voice heavy with exhaustion.

Kenan chuckled. “They’re just bored. Don’t take it personally.”

“Or do,” Barış quipped. “Makes it more fun.”

Duru leaned forward, grinning. “Come on, Y/N. If there was something going on, you’d tell us, right?”

Y/N sighed, glancing briefly at Kenan before responding. “If there was something going on, you’d be the first to know.”

Kenan nodded, his tone calm but playful. “And honestly, if there were something, you’d probably be the ones making it happen.”

Duru gasped dramatically. “Kenan, are you accusing us of meddling?”

“Yes,” Kenan said simply, earning laughter from the group.

Ending

As the evening wore on, Y/N felt herself relax despite her fatigue. She found herself sitting beside Kenan again, this time more at ease.

“You’re tougher than you look,” Kenan said softly, glancing at her.

Y/N raised an eyebrow. “Another compliment?”

“Take it however you want,” Kenan replied, his smirk softening into a small smile.

For once, Y/N didn’t argue.
