Chapter 136
A One Night Stand With My Boss ( Maia Sanchez )
Chapter 136
âBeing tall isnât everything!â Camila huffed, hands on her hips. âIâm five foot eight in heels!â Her heels added a good three inches to her height, making them an integral part of her stature.
âOh, Connor chuckled, a trace of indulgence barely noticeable in his eyes. He spoke softly, âGo put on your shoes.â
Camila responded and clattered off to the bathroom to slip on a pair of menâs slippers.
When she returned from the bathroom, she found the office empty. She sat on the couch, bored, swinging her legsâ¦
Ten minutes later, the office door swung open, and Connor walked in, carrying several large paper bags.
Camila immediately ran up to help him. Connor handed her two of the bags. âThese contain some womenâs clothing and toiletries. Get changed, and after your shower join me for breakfast.â
Camila nodded, taking the bags back to the rest lounge.
One bag contained a professional outfit: trousers, a blouse, underwear, and toiletries.
From another bag, she pulled out bras⦠Bras of all sizes, A, B, C, D, E, Fâ¦G.
Camila frowned. Why did he think these would fit me? I might manage a D. She took a D cup and other items into the bathroom.
After her shower, she was about to change into fresh clothes, when her eyes widened at the tags. Designer labels!
The blouse was $2,580! The trousers, $3,326!
She nearly choked on her own spit. Thankfully, she hadnât worn them out yet.âThey could be returned.
She changed back into her clothes from the day before and meticulously folded the designer clothes to return them.
She exited the rest lounge. Connor had already set up breakfast and even brewed two cups of coffee.
Seeing her in yesterdayâs attire, Connor frowned, âWhy are you still wearing that?â
âSir⦠I canât wear those clothes. Please give me the receipt so I can return themâ¦â
âThe manager went to the store early this morning to pick those out, and you just want to return them? What about my dignity?â Connorâs tone held a hint of displeasure. âGo change.â
âButâ¦â Camila hesitated.
âNo buts, change, and letâs have breakfast. We have a busy day ahead,â Connor said firmly.
âOkay,â sighed Camila.
After breakfast, Camila folded Connorâs pajamas and packed them in a bag. âMr. Connor, Iâve washed and packed your pajamas.â
Connor, who disliked wearing clothes others had worn, said, âNo need, just dispose of them.â
âDispose of them? So he disliked them that much because 1 wore them!â
Camila forced a smile, âThen Iâll take care of it.â
Well! If he disliked them, she might as well cut them up for doll clothes!
Connor simply nodded.
Camila left the office and returned to her desk, focusing on her work.
By 8:30 AM, colleagues began arriving. She handed over the organized media materials to a colleague, who looked surprised.
âCamila, I left at three AM last night, and you were still here. I thought Iâd be the first one in today, but you beat me to it,â the colleague remarked.
She smiled awkwardly, âActually, I left shortly after you did. I live close to the office, so itâs convenient.â
If her colleagues knew she had spent the night in the bossâ rest lounge, that news would spread through the company in under half a minute. By tomorrow, rumors that she was the bossâ wife would be flying everywhere.
âThis year, they should give you the Employee of the Year award,â her colleague said teasingly.
Camila simply smiled faintly, choosing not to continue the conversation.
