Chapter 139
A One Night Stand With My Boss ( Maia Sanchez )
Chapter 139
Camila picked up her cell phone and headed to the elevator.
The elevator doors slowly opened, and she stepped inside.
*Camila, are you heading down?â a colleague, clutching a package, asked with a hint of concern.
Camila nodded slightly and responded with a smile.
The elevator began its slow descent. At that moment, Connor emerged from his office and noticed Camilaâs spot was now empty. He was about to return to his office when he suddenly heard an employeeâs voice.
âMr. Connor, are you looking for Camila?â asked the employee holding the package.
âYes,â Connor said, his face expressionless.
âMr. Connor, Camila said she was going to the reception because someone was looking for her, and that person⦠seemed a bit intimidating,â the employee said, clearly worried.
Connorâs expression hardened slightly. âShe went down by herself?â
The colleague nodded, âYes.â
Connorâs brow furrowed, and he quickly moved to the elevator, only to find the doors had already closed. He immediately pressed the down button, anxiously waiting.
He glanced at the nearby stairs and took long strides, quickly descending the staircase, taking several steps at a time.
âWhat are you doing here!â Camila approached the reception desk, her eyes revealing displeasure and wariness as she looked at Marc.
Marc stood there, puffing on a cigarette, his eyes fiercely fixed on her as if he could devour her whole.
âCamila, you really think youâre so clever!â he sneered.
Camila thought he was here because of the detention issue. Her tone was cold. âMr. Marc, you brought the law down on yourself because of your own illegal actions. If you feel wronged, appeal it, but donât cause a scene here!â
âHow dare you bring up the detention center! You made me end up in jail. Youâre gonna pay for it!â Marc said through gritted teeth, his fists clenched.

The receptionists looked on nervously at the two, concerned for Camilaâs safety.
âHas security not arrived yet? Hurry them up,â one of the receptionists whispered.
âThey said theyâre on their way, stuck in the elevator,â another responded.
âMr. Marc, are you leaving on your own, or do I need to have security throw you out?â Camila said coldly.
âIs it you who had the supplier push me for payment!â Marc suddenly slammed his hand on the desk, startling the receptionists. Several employees who heard the noise also approached the reception area.
Camila was slightly taken aback, not understanding why Marc would suddenly say that. âI donât know what youâre talking about,â she replied calmly, glancing at the gathered employees. She decided to take the conversation outside with Marc, glaring at him. âLetâs talk
outside.â
âWhatâs wrong? Are you afraid theyâll find out what you did?â Marc shouted loudly to the people around. âThis woman, Camila, is evil! She landed her own father- me! â in jail and sabotaged my business!â
The colleagues exchanged glances, none speaking, their eyes communicating as though asking, âIs that man really Camilaâs father? Ls what heâs saying true?
Camila, suppressing her anger, took a deep breath and looked at the receptionist, softly asking, âIs security here yet?â
Theyâll be here any minute! You go ahead, the receptionist said. âCamila, donât get tangled up with him, just go inside.
Camila decided to end this pointless argument. âMr. Marc, if you have nothing else, Iâm not at your disposal. She said coldly, then turned and prepared to leave.
