“Wrap up a new one,” Rita told the clerk.

“Camila,” Rita called out and Camila leaned in to look.

“Try it on,” Rita suggested.

“Rita, this necklace is too valuable Camila objected.

But Rita dismissed Camila’s concem with a smile. “Oh Camila, it’s just a trifle.” She carefully placed the necklace around Camila’s neck.

“How much is it? Rita asked casually.

“Two million one hundred eighty thousand dollars,” the manager replied.

Heanng the price, Camila’s heart skipped a beat. She froze, afraid to move, worrying something might happen to the necklace.

When Logan saw Camila, he raised an eyebrow. “Hello, Camila. Connor’s in his office, right?”

“Yes,” Camila nodded and walked over to knock on the door.

As Logan entered the office, Camila noticed he was carrying a box with the Weiss Jewelry logo–the same type of box that had held the two–million–dollar necklace she had tried on the day before.

“Mr. Logan, would you like coffee or tea? Camila asked.

Logan didn’t immediately answer. Instead, he walked over to the sofa area, placed the box on the table, and crossed his legs. “Coffee,” he said with a smile.

At that moment, Connor was reviewing documents but glanced up at Logan.

And for Mr. Connor? Camila asked.

“The same,” Connor said, turning to her.

“Alright” Camila left the office.

“I brought you the item you wanted Logan said, glancing at the box on the table, and I got you a discount, just $1.96 million.”
