Chapter 180
A One Night Stand With My Boss ( Maia Sanchez )
Chapter 180
A man watched Camila at a distance as she sipped her wine, her charm and beauty captivating. Without much thought, he found himself seated in the lounge area, pouring more wine into Camilaâs glass.
Camila had a tipsy sparkle in her eyes. She asked Erica with a soft volce, âErica, why arenât you drinking?â
Erica glanced at Camila and gently smiled, âYou drink. Iâll watch over you.â
Soon, Camila felt dizzy, rubbing her forehead but still feeling lightheaded. Her discomfort grew under the harsh lights, so she slowly stood up from the couch.â
Erics immediately got up to support her toward the restroom.
Connor caught a glimpse and paused, slightly stunned. He recognized that slender silhouette, her dress skimming over her legs.
âExcuse me for a moment,â he said, not waiting for Haylie to respond. He quickly walked in Camilaâs direction.
âExcuse me, please, he said as he made his way through the crowd.
âWhatâs with him? Why the rush?â someone standing next to Haylie asked in surprise.
Haylie just shook her head.
Erica helped Camila to the dimly lit comidor. Leaning against the wall, Camila took deep breaths. She was too dizzy to walk further.
âCome on⦠Itâs okay. Iâm here with you. Forget Connor; plenty more fish in the sea, Erica comforted her.
Camila pursed her lips, her bright eyes brimming with tears as she tried to hold them back. âErica, I was just fooling myself⦠she said, sadly mocking herself.
Her head spun more and more, and she nearly lost consciousness.
Suddenly, someone in the dark grabbed her arm. Camila was dazed and turned her head, only noticing that the man before her was Incredibly handsome as if he had appeared in her life before.
Her eyes were teary as she quietly observed him, his scent of wine lingering
Connor stared at her for a few seconds, then turned to Erica. âWhy did you let her drink!â he said sternly.
ââ¦â Erica swallowed her words, glaring at Connor
Ignoring her, Connor looked at Camila, who was drunk with tears in her misty eyes, her fair skin flushed red.
âCamila⦠Connor called softly. She hummed in response, her voice soft and tender.
Connor took off his jacket and draped it over her, saying quietly, âIl take her home.â
Erica clenched Connorâs arm, her tone sharp. âThereâs no need, Mr. Connor. I havenât been drinking.â
Connor glanced at Erica and commanded, âLet go.â
His anger was barely contained as he coldly stated, âYou canât carry her.â Then, he lifted Camila in his arms.
âMr. Connor!â Erica frowned deeply.
Down the long corridor, Connor carried Camila out. The sudden bright light made Camila feel uncomfortable. She closed her eyes and buried her face in his chest. She felt familiar and safe there.
Those present were surprised to see Connor carrying a woman and stared blankly at the scene.
When Connor and Haylie met face to face, Haylie was taken aback. âWhoâs this?â
âMy employee, sheâs had too much to drink,â Connor said in a low tone, clearly in a bad mood.
âLet the security handle it. Iâll arrange for someone to take her home,â Haylie suggested with a smile.
âI got itâ Connor carried Camila out of the villa.
Erica followed closely behind
