Chapter 62
A One Night Stand With My Boss ( Maia Sanchez )
Chapter 62
Finally, she had dealt with a nagging worry. Her mood lightened considerably, a relieved smile spreading across her face.
A night over the weekend.
In her rare leisure time, Camila brewed a pot of tea and sat on the balcony, contentedly reading a book. Her phone rang, displaying âErica.â She answered the call,
âCamila, what are you up to? Iâm at Royal Karaoke, come join me.â
âNo thanks, Iâm reading.â
âCome on, I want to introduce you to my boyfriend.â
âWhen did you start dating again?â
Camila wasnât surprised at all. Ericaâs relationships were like playthings, the longest lasting no more than three months.
âJust started, thatâs why I want you to meet him. Hurry over, Iâll text you the room number.â
After hanging up, Camila changed her clothes and headed out. Arriving at the karaoke lounge, she was immediately enveloped by the lively music and bustling atmosphere, dim lights, and tables laden with drinks.
Upon seeing her, Erica grabbed the microphone and shouted. âWelcome my best friend, Camila!â
Everyone turned to look at the door, and for a moment, only the music filled the large private room.
Camila nodded with a smile.
The room was filled with a dozen stylishly dressed young men and women, Erica walked over and pulled Camila by the hand to the couch.

âMove.â Erica kicked aside someoneâs obstructing leg along the way.
The man quickly withdrew his leg, making way, his gaze following Camila.
As they sat down, the men around quickly gathered. âBack off, guys, go do your thing,â Erica glared at them.
The men, touching their noses, tactfully dispersed, and the karaoke resumed its lively vibe.
âPhil,â Erica pinched the cheek of the young man next to her.
Camila greeted him with a smile. The young man shyly returned the smile. He looked quite young, dressed in a white shirt, jeans, and sneakers, giving off a fresh and wellâbehaved impression.
Camila whispered to Erica, âHe seems quite young, doesnât he?â
Erica laughed, looking up. âTwenty, a college student.â
Surprise flickered in Camilaâs eyes.
âMet him at our magazine company where he works as a partâtime model. Sometimes itâs nice to change things up. Young guys have more stamina,â Erica said with a laugh, covering her mouth.
Camila looked puzzled but she respected Ericaâs decision.
âCome on, sing a song for me,â Erica nudged Phil.
He went to the jukebox, chose a romantic ballad expressing love, and sang with his eyes fixed on Erica.
The crowd cheered him on, prompting him to continue with a few more songs.
âPhil sings quite well; Camila remarked.
âSuch a young, obedient guy, so comforting,â Erica raised an eyebrow.
âHope this one lasts a bit longer for you,â Camila chuckled.
âWeâll see. Drink to that?ââ
Camila shook her head, knowing her own limits with alcohol.
Just a little, to celebrate my new young boyfriend. Iâll drive you home later.â Erica poured a bit of red wine into a glass.
Alright, cheers to you.â Camila clinked glasses and took a sip.
As Erica and her friends continued to toast, Camila retreated to a corner and dozed off in the dim light.
Are you feeling alright?â noticing her, Erica put down her glass and asked.
Iâm fine, just sleepy. Iâll head to the restroom.â

No need, Iâll be right back. Camila stood up.
