Chapter 101

The Alphas’ Return

The Diablon Series

Mateus and Damon, the two alphas, didn’t venture far anymore. They had to stay within a roar’s reach. They came back not long after they left.

Well, Mateus did at least.

“Oh, God,” Lilitha gasped, rising to her feet and rushing to his side as he limped into the clearing. “Jesus.”

Blood was smeared all over him. His nose was twisted to one side. His eyes were already puffing up. A grotesque lump was forming around his collarbone.

His fingers were bent at odd angles. He cradled his right arm, where another lump was protruding near the elbow.

“I’m okay,” he assured her, grimacing as his jaw clicked. He was missing several teeth. His brow furrowed as he reached out to lightly touch the bite on her throat. “He hurt you.”

“He didn’t hurt me. Not like he hurt you!” she protested.

He collapsed onto the ground, taking deep breaths with his eyes closed. Lilitha crouched beside him.

“What can I do?”

“Nothing. There’s nothing you can do. Just hold my hand.”

She did, gripping it tightly with both of hers.

“Where’s Damon? Is he okay?”

“He’s fine. No worse than me,” he groaned, stretching out his arms.

Lilitha wasn’t sure if she should find comfort in that. She noticed a long gash down his shin and tried to stop the bleeding with a rag. Carmella brought some water over.

Mateus watched as Lilitha dipped the rag into the bowl and gently cleaned the blood from his face, which was clotted in his stubble. With a groan, Mateus closed his eyes.

“Go away, Lilitha.”

“What?”

“It’s too much.”

“What?”

“Your breasts.”

Lilitha looked down at herself, then at his body. His arousal was evident. He rolled away from her with another groan, exposing his bruised and gashed back.

They had been so consumed with Silus and their grief that they had neglected each other. When Damon returned shortly after, Lilitha felt a wave of relief. He stayed hidden in the trees, but his musky scent was unmistakable.

He moved awkwardly through the leaves, clearly injured.

```
“Come here, Damon. Join us,” Lilitha called out. “I know you’re sorry. And I know what’s happening.”
It took him a while to step into the open. Lilitha’s heart sank. He looked just as bad as Mateus, who was still lying on his stomach. Blood smeared his face.
He leaned heavily to one side, his left leg looking off. His torso was marred with gashes and puncture wounds. His hair was matted with blood and dirt. His breathing was ragged.
He kept his gaze lowered, unable to meet her eyes.
“Why didn’t you tell us?” Lilitha asked softly. “Why didn’t you tell us how bad it was?”
“We did,” Mateus mumbled into the earth. “To Carmella.”
Lilitha turned to Carmella with a frown. The female Diablon shrugged.
“There are more important things to worry about.” She glanced down at Silus, who was sleeping in her lap.
Lilitha’s frown deepened. She turned back to the two alphas.
“You should have told ~me~.”
“We didn’t want to worry you. After…everything,” Mateus said.
Damon glanced at her neck with a wince, then quickly looked away.
“Carmella, leave Silus. He’s sleeping. Go tend to Damon,” Lilitha ordered.
“Excuse me?” Carmella’s eyes flashed. “You can’t tell me what to do.”
“Oh, yes I can. With Silus gone and since you have ‘more important things to think about,’ I’m in charge now. You will do as I say. Tend to Damon.”
Carmella glared at her, her tail coiling and lashing. She jumped when Lilitha snarled at her like a wolf.
“~Now.~”
With a tight frown, Carmella carefully laid the baby on the ground. After making sure he was secure, she stood up. Her expression softened as she looked at Damon’s injuries.
She took his hand. “Come on. Let’s get you fixed up.” She led him into the trees.
“On your back, Mateus,” Lilitha commanded.
Mateus rolled over with a gasp. His face was etched with pain as he stared up at the trees, his eyes glistening with unshed tears.
“Oh, Mateus.”
Lilitha reached for the bowl, wrung out the rag, and began to clean the blood from his face, being careful around his crooked nose. Mateus kept his gaze fixed on the trees.
The leaves rustled in the strong breeze, showering down around them. Mateus closed his eyes and grabbed her wrist.
“Enough with that. That’s not…that’s not what I need right now.”
Lilitha paused. She put the rag back in the bowl and folded her hands in her lap.
“Look at me.”
He opened his eyes. He tried to meet her gaze, but his eyes kept drifting to her breasts. Pain flickered across his face.
Lilitha took one of his large hands and placed it on her left breast. His eyes widened. Lilitha gasped as he squeezed a bit too hard.
He quickly pulled his hand away. “Sorry.”
Lilitha looked down his body to his arousal. It was long, thick, and flushed, leaving a trail of semen on his belly.
“Can’t you take care of it yourself?” she asked.
“It’s not the same. It’s not just about sex, Lilitha.”
His eyes were glistening again. His muscles rippled over his ribs as he gasped. He groaned as she took hold of him. He bucked his hips and a bit of semen spurted out.
His arousal was turning purple. His balls were hard and larger than usual. She picked up the rag and cleaned away any dirt and blood.
They couldn’t have intercourse—her body was still healing—but there were other ways to make him feel good. She dropped the rag back into the bowl and leaned over to kiss him below.
Mateus gasped.
“I might come a few times,” he warned.
“That’s okay.”
She pressed her lips to him once more, right at the peak, then traced a path down his length. She started to use her tongue, and he twitched, gasping in response.
His arousal swelled and hardened. She kissed him again at the very top and he climaxed, spurting onto his stomach, adding to the sticky mess already there.
Lilitha kissed him once more, then again, before taking him fully into her mouth. Mateus sat up abruptly, gasping for breath.
“Sit on me,” he managed to get out. “I need to feel you.”
“I want to, Mateus, but it’s too soon.”
“No, not like that. The way—the way you did before. Backward.”
She remembered their previous encounter a few weeks ago, when she’d been upset with Damon and Mateus had been there to comfort her.
***
Lilitha swung her leg over him, positioning herself high on his chest. He ran his hand down her back, then gripped her hips as she leaned forward to take him in again. His body trembled beneath her.
His grip tightened. A small salty burst filled her mouth, which she swallowed. It didn’t take much to overwhelm him, and Lilitha felt a pang of sadness that his large frame should shake so easily under her touch.
She took him in again, as deep as she could, swirling her tongue around him. He thrust his hips upward. This time, his climax was more intense, his arousal pulsating wildly in her mouth, filling her throat with his salty release.
Again, she swallowed. Panting, she wiped her mouth. He was panting too, but he looked better. The unhealthy purple hue was gone, replaced with a healthier red, though he was still hard in her hand.
“Come here,” Mateus managed to say.
Lilitha turned around. Mateus sat up and pulled her to him, positioning her so her ear was against his pounding heart. He ran his thick fingers through her hair.
“Do you feel better?” she asked.
“Much.” He wrapped his arms around her. “I love you.”
“I love you too.” She kissed him on the chest. Then she moved up to kiss his chin. Then she was kissing his lips.
He was smiling, eyes closed as she kissed his cheeks, his nose, ignoring the blood. He reached down to caress her backside. Lilitha leaned over him and Mateus opened his eyes to admire her breasts. One at a time. He groaned and licked his lips.
“You taste sweet.”
“That’s the milk.”
“Silus is lucky.”
Lilitha laughed. Mateus grabbed her face and kissed her lips. Then he pulled her close and rolled on top of her. He kissed her on the nose, on the cheek, on the mouth, just like she had.
Then he cupped her breast, his eyes fluttering as he stroked her soft nipple with his thumb.
“I hope you heal quickly,” he said. “I’m desperate to feel you again.”
“Me too.” She brushed his hair from his shoulder. “Me too.”
