Chapter 27

Rishtey Dillon ke ~ The Raghuvanshi (✓)

After everyone returned home from their short drive, Vikram parked the car, and they all bid goodnight to their brother and sister-in-law before retiring to their rooms.

Naina went to change her clothes, and Vikram followed suit, unbuttoning his shirt and putting on a t-shirt. After a while, Naina finished changing and began heading towards the bed when Vikram's voice halted her.

"You haven't forgotten, have you? You owe me something," Vikram reminded her of their conversation from the office.

Naina nervously bit her lip and blinked, then turned towards him, keeping her gaze lowered as she took slow steps closer to him.

She came close enough that Vikram could feel her breath on his face, their noses almost touching. Looking up, Naina kissed his cheek softly. Her heart raced with each tender touch of her lips against his skin. Moving to his other cheek, she kissed him again.

After kissing him, she quickly stepped back. "Yes... it's done," she said softly.

It was a tender moment as Naina kissed Vikram and then retreated to lie down, covering herself with the blanket. Vikram, touched by where her lips had lingered, mirrored her actions and settled beside her. He couldn't resist moving closer, his hand gently brushing her hair.

Naina shivered involuntarily when Vikram's touch traced her neck, prompting him to grasp her arm and turn her towards him. He observed her tightly closed eyes and spoke softly, "Naina..."

At the sound of her name spoken so tenderly by Vikram for the first time, Naina immediately opened her eyes. His voice gave her a sense of reassurance and warmth.

"It's okay. I'm not going to do anything. Just relax and go to sleep now," Vikram whispered gently.

He guided her head to rest on his chest, his other hand delicately undoing the bun in her hair and running his fingers through it. Naina gradually relaxed in his embrace, finding comfort and security in his arms. Eventually, she drifted off to sleep.

Vikram looked down at her peaceful face, overwhelmed by a surge of affection. Leaning closer, he pressed a tender kiss to her forehead, cherishing the quiet intimacy of the moment they shared.

---

The next morning, Vikram woke up early and went to take a bath. After getting ready, he gently woke Naina, so she could prepare herself, and then he headed to the other rooms to wake everyone else.

All the men were dressed in white kurtas and dhotis, while Vidhi wore a kurti. Naina, adorned in a red saree with her hair elegantly tied in a bun, went downstairs to find Vidyunt and Vidhi already ready.

Vikram was struggling to tie Ved's dhoti, and Ved was resisting.

"Bhai, please, I will wear something else underneath," Ved protested.

"Why? What's the problem? You never had an issue with this before," Vikram responded, puzzled.

Ved remained silent but eventually relented, allowing Vikram to finish tying his dhoti.

"Let's go out now," Vikram said, heading upstairs to change into his own dhoti.

Downstairs, Naina, Vidyunt, and Vidhi waited, admiring each other's traditional attire, ready to start the day with the puja as planned.

Ved stepped out and stood beside Vidhi, but as soon as he noticed Naina, he looked down, feeling a bit shy.

Naina smiled at his reaction and said, "You are looking very handsome, my young boy."

"Really?" Ved asked, his face lighting up.

"Absolutely," Naina affirmed.

Ved started grinning widely. Naina moved on, still smiling at his response.

Seeing his grin, Vidhi couldn't resist teasing, "Don't grin too much and walk properly, or your dhoti might come off."

"Can you just shut up?" Ved retorted, annoyed.

"Nope," Vidhi replied playfully.

Just then, Rajendra arrived, and Vidhi joined him. "Dad, how am I looking? Bhabhi said I look like a princess."

Rajendra smiled warmly, "You definitely look like a princess."

As they shared this moment, Vikram came down the stairs, freshly changed and ready for the day ahead.

Everyone got into the car and they left together. After some time, they stopped at a secluded and unique place. Naina noticed the absence of other people and felt the distinctiveness of the location. Vikram held the door open for her, balancing the puja thali in his hand. Naina stepped out, and they began walking inside.

Following the priest's instructions, they both sat down for the puja. Naina closed her eyes and prayed for the well-being and happiness of her entire family, hoping they would never face any troubles.

"Thank you, Lord, for bringing bhabhi into our lives. We want her to always be happy," Ved, Vidhi, and Vidyunt prayed silently.

By noon, the puja concluded. They left for home, ready to embrace the new journey awaiting them.
