*SSC Supreme Student Council o di kaya'y Sabrina Sobrang Competitive?* part II

After how many weeks of campaigning, the big day has finally arrived for Jo and Sab.

Bed day.

Currently..

[Jo and Sab was sitting on the medical bed sa clinic]

Jo was sitting with a tissue on her right nostril, hair disheveled, may band-aid sa braso at tuhod at humihingos-hingos pa.

On her right side, is Sab na may ice bag sa ulo and just like Jo her hair was disarranged all around her face.

They got in the clinic, tired and bedraggled.

"Naturingan paman din kayong role models!"

Ma'am Augustine was massaging her temple, walking back and forth in front of the two

"Really? Miss Roble and Miss Sevilla? What's gotten with the both of you at sa stage pa talaga kayo nag bardagulan?"

Earlier..

"Hoy Jo! Takboooo!"

Lumingon si Jo sa bandang likoran ng narinig ang sigaw ni Wesley

Nanlaki ang mata niya ng mapansin ang nakatayong dilag na nanggagalaiti sa galit habang may niyuyukong papel, they were distance apart but she can clearly see how she glares at her, cheeks flushing.

It was just seconds when she stormed at her

"Sab No No No" it was too late to run when sab took a firm grip on her before showing the crumpled paper she was holding

"Alam kong ikaw ang nagphotoshop nito! Don't even try to deny—"

"Sab you have the wrong idea, please let go of me—"

"Wrong idea mukha mo!"

"Let me explain —"

"Mama mo explain! Arrgh! I hate you! Bwesit ka!—"

Something came to Joan's mind while she was listening to Sab who's filled with rage, an unwanted and uninvited thought that took over her for a moment, without realizing it dinampi niya ang mga palad niya sa mga labi ng babaeng kaharap niya, slightly pressing it—

"Can you shut up and listen to me?"

That's when she knew, she fucked up.

It was chaotic.

It was a minute of sabunaton she didn't signed up for when they become partners in class, but they become rivals in student council that maybe forfeited the imaginary contract she shared with her, because who the heck would go against this crazy girl who's currently pulling her hair— it's the heavens favor to let her be partnered with this being for the next months than to be on her bad side, you have to be deranged enough to do so

Wesley and the other members of the stagecraft team was shock, agad nilang pinaglayo ang dalawa— or ni rescue si Jo

It was nearly impossible to detached them from each other, not until

they both stumbled down the stage.

"And what is this photo all about?" Mrs. Augustine was holding the photo in front of them

Nanlisik muli ang mata ni Sabrina ng nakita ang litrato.

A couple of days ago Joan and her had a pictorial for the school elections.

They continue doing their journal tasks every MWF, then doing their own thing when they have nothing to do with each other. Pero napadalas narin ang pagsabay ni Sabrina sa kanila, it was Joan, Gia, Wayne, Wesley, Shiloh and Sab every lunch.

Sabrina is starting to open up a little too, she's never really had a circle before so it was a new thing for her, but  everything seems to happen so naturally, ganyan talaga siguro if you're comfortable with the people surrounding you, but Sabrina would never admit that, over her dead gorgeous body.

They've been spending a good amount of time na hindi narin natakasan ni Sabrina ang mga pang-aasar ng Apiñosa brothers, specially Wesley.

One time, nilagyan ni Wesley ng bato ang gucci bag ni Sabrina, guess what happened it bounced back to him, LITERALLY

Because when Sabrina found out, she kept every stones at nung dumating ang tamang panahon, binato niya si Wesley ng paulit-ulit sa field while he was playing football, at maybe hindi na magkaka-anak si Wesley

Because it was a bullseye

a popping nut

paalam itlog ni Wesley

paalam future anakshies

yes, she's that one crazy biatch

And what triggers her insanity again?

That one fucking photo.

So Wesley, oo si Wesley na naman, kung anong ikina-bait ni Wayne ay ganung pagka-ulol niya.

But your guy is smart.

He's part of their local council and he's also the representative of the Architecture department, kaya naman he's part of the team who's been planning and executing everything for a successful election.

He was the one in charge for the pictorial, at ang loko ay nag-photoshop ng picture ni Sabrina using Joan's premium editor account.

Imagine, Sabrina, a full body picture. Her hands were placed on her waist, her one leg forward and one leg back— naka sandugo slippers, hello kitty na bag, naka jersey and wearing an ultra-hipster jejecap. You can imagine him laughing extremely while editing that picture, with floral frames pero hindi pa siya nakuntento at pina-print pa ng kumag.

Tawang-tawa ang ate Jo niyo when Wesley showed her the picture...not until the time before the bardagulan happened.

On that day, Jo volunteered to help for the prepping of the stage since she has a free time while Sabrina asked to borrow her laptop.

*Flash back—hour before the bardagulan*

It was 3 in the afternoon when Sab was looking for Jo, which is a rare thing –(a rarely admitted thing, because that week, for some reasons, bukambibig niya ang babaeng kinaiinisan niya, they've been comfortable calling each other during night to ask each other questions and making a reflection out of it, but those nights doesn't feel like a job at all, it was actually comforting for the both of them, it's like their own digital safe space) who she found sa backstage na busy-busyhan.

She was reluctant to go near the girl, maybe she's just shy, it's "maybe" because her confident ass wouldn't admit otherwise, so she keep a meter distance from Jo

"Jo" Sab quietly called for Jo who's busy talking to the other stagecraft member while she was cutting something

"Jo" Sab called for the second time, slightly irritated. Hindi parin siya lumapit, because she just doesn't want to look like she's been wanting her attention, duh

"Jo" the rowdy environment wasn't helping at all

So she decided to close their distance, slightly twitching the hem of the other girl's shirt

"Jo"  she said with a hint of gentleness

Jo turned around, she was surprised when she saw her, Jo find her eyes looking sa laylayan ng damit niya, she can't help but smile subtly "oh hey, Sab, what's up?" tanong niya

Sab hurriedly retracted her hand from the hem of Jo's shirt, she bit her bottom lip, which Jo find amusing, because she ain't always like that

"Pahiramnganglaptop." Pagmamadaling sabi ni Sab

"Ano?"

"Pahiramnganglaptop, pina-uulit pa" Sabrina rolled her eyes, not wanting to look straight at her

Jo let out a chuckle "ah gets ko na" she scratched her head playfully "laptop ba kamo? andun sa office nina Kuya Wesley"

She was looking at her intently, expecting Jo to say something more

"and yes, you can use it?" She said unsure

Unintentionally, Sab smiles widely "okay thanks!" At agad umalis

Jo just shook her head, smiling.

she kinda likes her like this. When she seems innocent and not raving about anything she doesn't like.

The person she's been talking to, looked at her with a confused face, just like all of you, because like what you're thinking, what's to smile about?

30 minutes before the bardagulan

Sab went happily sa office nina Wesley.

Nakalimotan niya kasing dalhin yung laptop niya, her phone was also dead. Kaya naman she borrowed Jo's laptop so she can submit her journal assignment.

She didn't ask for Jo's password since she said there was a sticky note inside the cabinet's drawer. She wrote it down last time for Wesley or her to access, since she's the only one who has premium account for editing the photos.

Nang binuksan niya ang drawer, she saw a pile of their pictures, her lips formed into a curve, she was looking right to left at agad ipinasok sa bulsa ang isang size 3R candid picture nila ni Jo

She was thinking she could use it for future references to make fun of Jo, like maybe

posting it online for her birthday? diba uso naman yung stolen shots

but usually funny 'yung wacky shots eh

she was squinting her eyes, staring at Jo.

Her eyes narrow and her gaze becomes intense and concentrated, as she tries to block out any distractions and solely focus on the picture in front of her. Her mouth slightly pursed, wondering

is it a wacky pose?

But wacky poses should be funny nga diba

Is this funny?

In the picture, Jo was looking down, laughing

She remembered what Jo said when it was taken

"Sinong mukhang mangga? Kutosan kita dyan eh" she was laughing in between

Wesley then replied

"Akala ko ba electoral pictorial to bakit parang nagmumukhang commercial photoshoot ng mangga"

"Gago ka ba?" She said still laughing

She even hit her while laughing, sure she gave her a death stare pero maybe she wouldn't mind a hit or two

She was there, asking herself, what's so funny with that? Are they really that close?

Wesley really has a way of making her laugh

The more she stares at her...

It doesn't seem to look funny

she kinda looks...you know, pretty?

But not as pretty like her, she said to herself

She finally dismissed the thought at nagpatuloy sa pagtingin sa mga litrato, not until she saw the last picture.

Her eyes grew wide, at tila ay nababalot ng pout

Suddenly the door opened, Wesley was shocked ng nakita niya ang hawak ni Sabrina

"Lagot"

Sab pov'

"I'm really sorry po"

"Don't apologize to me, Ms. Sevilla, apologize to Joan" Ma'am Augustine said

I let out a deep sigh, I was about to face her when Maam Augustine's phone rung interrupting us

She gesture excusing herself

Kami nalang dalawa naiwan

It was so awkward

Fuck

Suddenly I heard soft little sobs

I shut my eyes

"Do you want ice cream?" I asked

The girl beside her looked at her still sobbing

Sabrina stared at her for a moment, she tried to touch Jo's face, pero umurong ang lakas ng loob niya

She sighed before attempting to do it the second time

she gently raised her hand, her fingertips touching Jo's chin, carefully lifting it upwards

Now their eyes are leveled

She maintained eye contact, establishing a connection between them

She then carefully and slowly took the messy strands of hair from Jo's face, she also wipe the girl's tears

Before withdrawing her hand, she caressed Jo's cheeks one last time

It was unnecessary, but it was nice

a bit too nice, she's scared she might look for this kind of feeling

"My treat, Jo" she smiled genuinely

She stand, extended her arms, waiting... hoping for the other girl to accept her offer.
