Warlords MC: Book 6 – Traven : Chapter 13
Warlords MC – The Complete Series
Winter looked over at her brother and really wasnât surprised that he seemed upset as they did just lose their home today. âWhatâs up, little brother?â
âI hate being here,â was all he said.
âWhatâs going on out there?â
âYou donât want to know.â He growled.
Winter put her knife down and walked over to where he was sitting. She knelt down to be on his level and gazed at him. âWhatâs got your panties in a bunch?â
âThey laughed at you this morning after you tossed the knife at that jackass. He told them he kissed you and they laughed at you.â Will growled.
Winter froze for a moment then shook her head. Her heart was stung but she would survive, she had survived worse than that but she thought Traven was a different kind of man. Apparently, she was wrong about him. âWhat else?â
Will looked up at her. âThey said we canât go home again. That youâll never be able to go back to Redâs again. I told them they were wrong.â
Winter shook her head. âWe probably wonât be able to go back there again. Matty and Brady saw to that when they blew up the house this morning.â
âThe hell they did.â Will growled.
Winter cupped both sides of his face and looked at him sternly. âThat doesnât mean we canât go somewhere else and start over. We can and will do that, but first we gotta help them take down the camp.â
Will looked at her and whispered, âBut I found three more camps just like this one. This organization is bigger than just one camp.â
Winterâs lips tightened. âI never thought it would be just one camp and I donât think you really did either. Why do you think Dad tried so hard to find them and get them out of there? He knew it too.â
âI heard you this morning, telling Traven about how mom died.â Tears welled in his eyes. âWhy would they do something like that? To her, of all people?â
Winter took a deep breath and said, âI think they got hooked on the drugs theyâd been selling. They were high that morning, high or crashing hard and they needed more. Mom told them no and they didnât like that. They knew they needed more and she wasnât going to give it to them. They just snapped.â She shook her head. âOnce the deed was done, they knew they couldnât come back, not after what theyâd done. Thereâs no coming back after that.â
Will growled, âDonât you stick up for those two bastards,â he snapped.
âIâm not sticking up for them. Iâm just stating facts. They walked away. I hope they both face the consequences of their actions and I hope they realize what they did before they go to hell.â Shaking her head, she stood and looked down at Will. âI just donât want them to take you or me with them.â
âI also told them Traven should be happy the knife hit the door instead of him this morning,â Will admitted.
Winter chuckled out loud. âYeah, he probably is.â Though, she knew she didnât want to actually hurt the man. It was just that there was so much tension between them and had been from moment one. And that fucking kiss! Wowâ¦. She shook her head and went back to her chopping.
Will felt a little better after their talk, so he wheeled closer and picked up another knife. He helped her chop the vegetables to finish off their supper.
When everything was finally ready, she grabbed a stack of plates and took them out to the main room. When the guys saw her, they moved to the kitchen to help her bring everything out.
Winter and Will made up their plates then found small table to sit at. They began eating while everyone else filled their plates.
Traven and Venom sat down with them. Ace and his brother Deuce came over and sat too.
For a while, no one said anything, as they were all too busy eating.
Finally, Traven sat back. His plate was clean and he was full. âWow, that was very good. Thank you.â
Venom sat back and belched softly. âSorry, but that was the best meal Iâve had in a very long time.â He grinned. âYou can take over KP anytime you like.â
Winter didnât say anything but instead, looked over at Traven and asked, âSo what are your plans for Shadow Camp?â
âWell, that depends on what you can tell us about the camp itself,â Traven told her.
Winter shrugged. âTheyâve probably moved camp by now.â
âJust suppose they didnât.â Venom leaned over the table. âCan you give us a layout of what you knew was there?â
She shrugged. âI can try but I didnât really see that much.â
âWell, you saw more than we did then,â Pepper called out.
Traven slowly turned his head and glared at the other man. Then he ignored him and turned back to Winter. âWhat all did you see? What kind of weapons did they have there?â
Winter shivered. âThey were storing guns. In one of the outer buildings, they had a shitload of weapons and ammo. They would get a shipment in about every four days. Could be just a few or could be a whole truckload.â
âWhat else?â Venom asked.
âIt wasnât just guns you know. They had knives, swords and bows too. They had arrows and shovels. It was odd really the assortment now that I think about it. Just all kinds of shit. They are gearing up for something and I have a feeling its coming soon.â
âWell, that doesnât sound good.â Ace growled.
âYou said something about an MC coming and going from the camp,â Traven stated.
âThe Minions of Hell.â Winter nodded.
âHow often do they come around?â Ace asked.
âThe first few weeks they came around maybe once a week,â Winter told them, âBut the last two weeks, theyâve been coming around every couple of days.â
âHave you seen what theyâve been bringing in?â Traven wanted to know.
âI think they are moving drugs through the camp.â Winter tucked a strand of her dark hair behind her ear. âI canât be sure of that though. Whatever theyâre bringing in is always in a small pouch. They carry them in their saddle bags.â
âHow many men are in the camp full time?â Ace asked.
âMaybe two dozen?â She shrugged.
âHow often is that fuckin traitor, Chewy in camp?â Pepper snarled.
Winter refused to look at him but she did answer his question, âHeâs there more and more these days.â She glanced up at Traven and looked worried. âThereâs reason I said there was something coming and soon.â
âWhat is that?â Traven asked.
âLast week and again earlier this week, there has been a big delivery. Two semi trucks rolled into camp and the men unloaded a huge order of some kind. I was too far away to see what it was but I know where they stored everything.â
âWhere would that be?â Pepper wanted to know.
âThey backed up the trailers to one of the warehouses and put everything underground.â She looked at Traven when she answered.
âCan you draw us a map of the camp?â Traven asked.
âI can try.â Winter nodded. âBut Iâve only seen the camp at night, so a map might not be much good during the day.â
Pepper snorted but Dax kicked him under the table and glared at him. Pepper shut up but glared right back at the other man.
Venom brought some paper over to the table and handed her a pen, Winter began to draw the camp as she remembered it. As she drew the map, she explained what sheâd seen over the weeks sheâd been watching the camp.
The men began gathering around her and they watched as she laid out the camp for them. They were amazed at what she knew and what she could show them.
The one that looked at hardest at what she was doing was Pepper. He studied the camp and tried to memorize it. He looked over at his men Jackman and Bumper.
They read the message he wouldnât say out loud. Each of them slightly nodded.
Dax was watching and he just shook his head. He knew what they were going to do and it didnât sit well with him. Pepper was a stubborn son of a bitch and he would get them kicked out of this allegiance if he didnât behave. As much as he wanted to get his hands on Chewy, he knew better than to go after him right now.
This plan was bigger than just one man. But he would wait and see how it all played out.
After everyone had had a chance to view the map and discuss a plan, they all separated for the night. They were going to go the camp tomorrow night.
