Chapter 350 Youâre Sending My Child Away?
Great. Now I feel sick.
Caroline had completely shot herself in the foot. Goosebumps covered Carolineâs arms.
Now that she had admitted it, Harper finally believed her.

She glanced at Elizabeth. Sure enough, Elizabeth was wearing a hospital gown, her complexion pale.
She looked weak.
But the real reason Elizabeth looked so paleâalmost sickly grayâwas pure rage!
Yet, with Harper standing right there, she couldnât do or say anything. She could only grit her teeth and endure it.
Especially when she had to watch David and Caroline act all loveyâdovey, hugging and calling each other husband and wifeâshe was about to grind her teeth to dust!
And to top it off, Elizabeth had to play along. âYes, Madam Harper, Iâm so happy that my sister and brotherâinâlaw came to visit meâ¦â
Harper asked, âWhat exactly is wrong with you? You seem pretty sick if you need to be hospitalized.â
âIâ¦â
âForget it, just focus on recovering,â Harper interrupted clearly uninterested in hearing the answer. âA patient needs rest, so you should sleep early and take care of yourself.â
After all, it wasnât Caroline who was sickâso Harper didnât care.
Elizabeth replied, âI understand, Madam Harper.â
âAnd another thingâwatch yourself.â Harperâs tone turned sharp. âIn a situation like earlier, even if David wasnât thinking, you should have known better. You should have immediately called Caroline over and stepped aside. Got it?â
ââ¦Got it!â
While Harper lectured Elizabeth, Caroline lowered her voice and hissed through clenched teeth, âDavid, I think youâre a real coward.â
âHmm?â
âYou had the guts to bring me here to visit Elizabeth, but you donât dare tell Mom that sheâs pregnant with your child? Instead, you use me as a cover?â
David responded casually, âYouâre not much braver yourself.â
Caroline frowned. âWhatâs that supposed to mean?â
âIf you had the guts, you wouldâve finished what you were about to say earlier. But instead, you followed my lead and changed the subject.â

Chapter 350 Youâre Sending My Child Away?
âYou-!â
David tightened his grip around her waist. âWeâre the same, Caroline.â
Finished
âPeople kill for money, and birds die for food. Loving money is perfectly natural. Who in this world doesnât love money?â Caroline shot back. âBut youâyouâre obviously involved with Elizabeth, yet you wonât make things official. What, are you planning to let your child be an illegitimate one forever?â
David lowered his head, his lips brushing against her earlobe as he spoke the cruelest words imaginable.
âCaroline, what if I legally transferred the child under your name and had you raise it? Wouldnât that be a great idea?â
In that instant, in that single second, Caroline felt an icy chill spread through her entire body.
Her heart turned cold. He wanted me, under the title of his wife, to raise his and Elizabethâs child?
David was ruthless. He could actually come up with something this twisted.
And worseâhe was the type of man who would actually go through with it.
Caroline stared at him. âYou trust me enough to raise your child? Youâre not afraid Iâd secretly abuse it?â
âThatâs easy to handle,â David replied smoothly. âBy then, your child will be in my hands, too. If you mistreat my child, then your child can forget about having a good life either.â
Carolineâs eyes widened. âWaitâyouâre sending my child away?â
Thisâthis was something she absolutely could not accept!
If her child wasnât by her side, how could she ever be at peace?
âWhat else?â David asked. âIâm already being very tolerant by letting you give birth in the first place.â
