âGo home Ryouma, youâve already caught a cold. Itâll get worse if you get soaked.â She turned around to leave.
âDonât go.â He holds her wrist.
âWhy are you being this way? Weâll both get sick if we--â
But he cuts her off pulling her back into a passionate kiss.
Her eyes widened in shock. She tried to push him but he wouldnât let go instead he pulled her even closer. She gives in and kisses him back wrapping her arms around his neck. They broke apart, gasping for air. His forehead locked with hers he cupped her face and whispered âyouâre not allowed to...â but he...fainted?! He faints hugging her, she suddenly loses her balance and staggers.
âOi, Ryouma?â She calls out to him, she then realises heâs burning with fever.
âDonât go fainting on me, youâre heavy!â She shouts as she tries to balance, she patted his cheeks, he opened his eyes a little.
She struggled with bringing him to the car and placed him inside the car.
âAnd I told you not to come! Why doesnât he ever listen to anyone?â She shouts closing the door.
She takes the driverâs seat and sighs.
âWait!â She hears her husband beside her.
âYes?â She looks at him with concern.
âWhen was the last time you drove?â he asks, still drowsy from the fever. She blinks at his question, Wait, when was it?
âDonât worry, Iâll drive safely.â She assures him.
âMy car should be safe.â He mutters before slipping back into darkness.
âYour car should be safe huh?â She glares at her now unconcious husband. âSo it wonât matter if something happens to you?â she clenches her fist and almost hits him but pulls her hand back and bangs her head on the steering wheel. âArgh! he sure knows how to get on my nerves.â She screams.
Home
The doctor checked him and told he collapsed due to stress and cold.
And lots and lots of ice cream and rain! thought Teresa.
She did contact her mother-in-law on her way, but she wasnât here yet. Little did she know her mom and dad went out on purpose leaving them to spend time alone. At least, she was glad to have Maria, the house maid at home but she too had an emergency at her own house, leaving Teresa all by herself with her sick husband.
What am I supposed to do? She thought. The doctor said heâd be fine after medication but looks like human medicines donât work on a devil, she looks at her husband who was panting and shivering pulling up the blanket.
Okay Teresa think this of an opportunity to thank him for everything up until now. Even though he's been getting on your nerves, you can't be that ungrateful to overlook his good deeds, so let's do something for him. She smiles to herself.
She checked on the internet for the tips to look after a sick person.
She went to the kitchen and prepared some ice to sponge his, those âsomeâ were full of a bucket, because she brought extras if few didnât work.
âThis would help.â She smiled to herself but she stumbled on her way and the whole bucket of ice landed on Ryouma. âOopsie!â She covered her face.
âAre you trying to kill me?â He woke up due to cold and shouted shivering.
âSorry. Wait Iâll bring the towel and pair of clothes to change.â she said and after a minute came up with a bright Hawaiian shirt.
âThereâs no way Iâm wearing those.â He shouted panting with a red face due to fever.
âYouâre still care about a shirt in this condition? Hurry up and get changed before your fever worsens.â She pulled off the blanket, he resisted pulling the blanket back.
âAre you trying to create more trouble for me?â She shouted. âI barely managed to stop myself from killing you on the way here but if youâre so eager to die Iâll let you be.â She threatens.
âAre you sure youâre not trying to kill me? It looks the exact opposite to me.â He muttered.
She dried him with towel while he shivered. He tried to get up from the bed but felt dizzy and fell back on the bed.
âJust sit, Iâll help you.â She started unbuttoning his shirt and found her husband staring her. A moment of awkward silence as their eyes meet.
âIs there something on my face?â She asked blushing.
âYouâre blushing.â He continued staring at her.
âDonât look at me like that.â She found her temperature going up now, continuing to unbutton, she tried to calm her racing heart but well it wouldnât listen to her.
âStop checking me out and hurry up, Iâm freezing here.â He coughed.
âIâm not.â She shouted with a bright red face.
âAnd stop whispering in my ears. Itâs already very awkward.â She looked down covering her blushing red face.
âWhat is?â He leaned in and whispered in her ear which sent chills throughout her body.
âAs I said donât do that.â She pushes his face away with her face now as red as a tomato.
He laughed seeing her face.
âYou know, you look cute like this, bright red, even challenging a tomato. Just like on our wedding.â He smiled and leaned in close, his nose resting on hers. Her face heatened up, she couldnât tell anymore who was the one with fever.
âI guess you really are sick. The fever has gotten inside your head, stop talking nonsense and go to sleep.â She stood up and pushed him on the bed his head landing on the pillow with a thud and covered him up with blanket and then rushed out of the room.
She looked at the mirror and wondered if she could get any redder than this. She covered her face with her hands and went to the kitchen.
âOkay Teresa, ice sponge failed, letâs try the internet suggestion no. 2, make a porridge next.â She slapped her cheeks and surfed the net for the recipe.
After hours, finally the porridge was ready. On her first try, the microwave exploded, second time the cooker exploded, pasted on the ceiling, third time it burnt black. The last was the only edible one. Finally! She smiled and took whole bowl of porridge to her husband who was lying on the bed panting with fever. She made him sit and kept a table with the porridge on it on the bed.
âhere have this porridge, youâll feel better.â She smiled, looking at the product of her hard work.
"Where?" He looked around searching for the porridge but whe she pointed at the bowl in front of him, he looked at the thing for a minute, the 'thing' his wife called a porridge which looked nothing near to it.
âIs this your first time cooking it?â He asked her coughing, covering himself with blanket upto his neck.
âItâs my first time cooking anything, but I made it with the recipe in the internet. It help you gain energy. Youâre really lucky, youâre the first person to taste my cooking.â She smiled.
âDo I really have to eat it?â He pointed at the thing kept before him. He doubted it would in fact drain his remaining energy instead.
âOf course you have to, you need to have medicine which you canât have on an empty stomach. It may look bad but it is good.â She assured him.
He tried to lift the spoon but he didnât have any strength to. He sighed.
âWhatâs wrong?â She looked at him with worry.
âFeed...â He whispered.
âHuh?â She brought her face close to him.
âFeed me... I canât.â
âYou want me to feed you?â She blinked at his words.
âDo you see anyone except you?â He said irritated.
âYeah of course... youâre sick... Iâll have to feed you I guess.â She smiled nervously.
âOkay, here we go.â She took the spoon in her hands and shoved into his mouth.
âWhat are you doing? Are you trying to kill me? â He glared at her.
âhuh?â
âItâs too hot! Ah burns!â He sticks his tongue out and breaths the air in.
âSorry.â She looked at him with guilt, her hands trembling.
âWhy are you trembling? Iâll not eat you up.â He looked at her trembling hands. âJust blow on it and feed me.â He sighs.
As soon as he put the âthingâ in his mouth, he wanted to throw up. But with his wife, looking at him with hopeful eyes, He gulped it forcefully and forced a smile.
After finishing a bowl of the porridge his wife was going for another serving. He couldnât hide the disgust towards the food, if one can call it a food.
âSeriously, what was that? How can something be this horrible to kill every taste bud?â He said with a disgusted face. His wife started to cry which immediately made him regret and take his words back.
âSorry, I guess I really am useless, but I really wanted to pay you back for all your kindness but I only caused trouble like always.â She said sobbing.
âNo you really did your best.â He pulled her on the bed next to him and kissed her hands which had cut marks.
âIâll tell you an easy way to help me out. You just need to stay by my side. Don't go to Ren, just stay with me here.â He kissed her forehead and kept her cold hands on his burning cheeks.
âHmm cold.â He relaxed under her touch, snuggled to her and slept.
I need to get well soon and I donât ever want to be sick, Iâm not being myself. He thought before he drifted to sleep.
âYouâre mine. You should always stay with me.â He muttered in his sleep holding her tight.
âI was already yours, even before I realized myself.â She whispered and smiled, resting her head on his chest.
Ryoumaâs P.O.V
Morning
I slowly opened my eyes and found my wife smiling at me with my arms wrapped around her. Seeing her close I freaked out and got up from the bed immediately.
âGood morning husband. Feeling better?â She gave a bright smile and something about her smile tells me Iâm in trouble.
