Early in the morning, Ryouma stood in front of Teresaâs house but the house is locked and no one was home.
âJack, I need to get some information on Eren Scarlet. Within five minutes.â He ordered on the call. After exactly five minutes he got a call. âYeah.....What they moved out? When? Where?.......I donât care what you do, how you do, just find them.â Giving the orders he cut the call.
âDamn it, Teresa!â He muttered and dialed her number. âWhat the number doesnât exist? You must be kidding me!â He shouted throwing his phone.
Home
Ryouma saw his mother talking on the phone sitting in the living roomâs sofa. He slowly approached her and stood behind her listening to her conversation. âOh you reached there safely?...... Ah thatâs good. But Teresa, forgive your mother okay?....... Argh! I am so ashamed of my son.......Love you too, darling........ Yeah bye take care.â Finishing the call, his mother got up and turned back and gasped, startled by her son's presnce, âyou stupid son! Donât scare me like that!â She shouted.
âYou were talking to Teresa? Where is she?â Ryouma asked desperately.
âWhy do you think Iâll tell you of all people?â She glared at him.
âMom, Iâm your son!â He whined.
âNothing to be proud of!â She rolled her eyes.
âMom, please tell me where is Teresa please!â He begged. âOkay if not that just make me talk to her once hmm?â He plead.
âWhy should I? I canât even face her because of you.â She scowled at him.
"Mom! When I didnât want to marry her, you forced me to, now that I really love her youâre turning your back on me?â Ryouma shouted complaining.
âShut up Ryouma, youâve really disappointed me. A contract marriage? Seriously? Just because you wanted the company? How could you do this to us? But maybe I did force you for this step.â She clicked her tongue and sadly shook her head.
âNo, of course not. Making her my wife was the best thing you did for me. I really appreciate that but you know your son is an idiot! Mom, I really love you, my sweet, lovely mother.â Ryouma gave her a smile and hugged her.
âShut your ugly mouth. Youâve got what you wanted, your dear post as the chairman of the company. Isnât her purpose finished here? You married her only for this, right? Now why do you want her back?â
âMom please, Iâll really do anything to bring her back. Wonât you help me? Look I know you miss her too. So, why donât we help each other hmm? Please! I beg of you. Please! Hmm?â He plead.
âYouâll do anything?â
âYes.â He nodded.
âFine.â She smirked. âStupid son, you think you can fool your mother? Letâs help each other you say? Sure.â She thought and smiled evilly.
âWhy are we here?â He asked when his mother brought him to the spa. âfacial for two.â She said to the receptionist. âNo! Iâm not doing this!â He shouted. âFine then, Forget about Teresa.â She threatened narrowing her eyes at him.
âOkay okay donât get angry, my lovely mother. let's do this.â He flashed a fake smile.
âAre we done? Can you get her talk to me now?â Ryouma looked at his mother hopefully after the torture, pedicure, manicure and what not? She even painted his nails.
âNot yet.â She grinned. âThereâs more?â Ryouma shouted horrified.
She took him for shopping, made him carry all the bags. Then the movie, Doraemon! âIâm not going in!â He shouted. She glared at him then he quietly obliged. During the whole movie, little kids beside him were staring at him with a wide grin plastered on their face. He sank in the seat trying to cover his face. Next stop toys store, âYouâre kidding me!â He yelled. âCome on, choose one toy, Iâll buy it for you.â She laughed. âYouâre enjoying this, arenât you?â He glared at her. âOf course I am, when you were a kid, you always hid behind the books, even in your free time you looked at the stock market news, Mom! Do not touch my hair! Mom! Iâm not a kid! This and that! Finally I get to do this.â She clicked his photos. âMom! Still do not touch my hair!â He yelled when she ruffled his hair.
Next stop her kitty parties. âI donât need an enemy do I?â Ryouma thought to himself.
âPlease now can you make her talk to me? Give me her number at least.â Ryouma whined.
âI didnât expect this but you really were a good boy for past two days and did everything I asked you to. Oh my lovely son!â She smiled at him.
âSo now please can you?â He asked desperately.
âNope.â She shrugged.
âThatâs cheating mom!â He shouted.
âYou rascal, what are you getting angry for? You made her cry, my poor daughter. You donât deserve her! You may be my blood but youâre a big jerk, so you better not think Iâll help you in any way!â She said with a huff.
âMaybe youâre right, Iâm a jerk, But I really love her mom!â He knelt down in front of her and shook his head.
She peeked at his face and sighed.
âHere take these.â She threw the keys at him which he immediately caught before it hit his face.
âWhatâs this?â He looked at her with a puzzled expression.
âKeys to our old house, sheâs your neighbor. I canât do anything more than this for you because I still hate you.â She crossed her arms and pouted.
âBut I really love you mom.â He got up and gave her a tight hug.
âStop crying. Be a man and rectify your mistakes. I really donât expect her to forgive you and a part of me doesnât want her to forgive you either but go and beg for forgiveness at least.â She pinched his nose. âGo son and bring your wife and my daughter back.â She patted his back.
Ryouma immediately called his secretary, running to his room, âGet me the flight tickets.â
Midori Carlton, looked at her son and smiled.
âSo you gave him the keys hmm?â Ryuu Carlton wrapped his arms around his wife.
âWhat to do I guess Iâm more obsessed with Teresa than my son. I really miss my daughter. You think I am selfish hmm?â She smiled at her husband.
âI love your selfishness too.â He smiled giving a quick peck on her lips.
Teresaâs P.O.V
âSo, youâve settled there?â She asks throuh the phone, I am happy here but I really miss her.
âYup, really a nice place, my old home sweet home. Weâre going to start from a scratch now. Dad is planning to start a new business, heâs went to meet the investors. â I answered her cheerfully. âBut I miss you already, girl.â I clicked my tongue. âMe too, sweet heart.â I heard her laugh.
*door bell rings*
âAh wait a sec Rina, I guess dadâs home. Iâve got to open the door.â
I opened the door and saw a man with a large flower bouquet on his hands but I canât see his face because itâs covering his face.
âyes?â
He pointed at the bouquet where a note was placed. I picked the note and it read. âHey! Iâm your new neighbour please take care of me.â New neighbour? I tilted my head. He suddenly placed the bouquet in my hands and ran off. âWhatâs with this guy?â I stood at the door blinking my eyes in confusion.
âOii you there?â I heard Rina shout through the phone.
âYeah, sorry. Just a weird guy.â I answered her placing the bouquet on the table.
âWeird guy?â
âYeah more like a weird neighbour.â
âYour life is filled with weird guys. Anyway, Iâve got to go âkay? Talk to you later. Bye love.â
âBye.â Placing my phone on the table I glanced at the bouquet properly. âOh my favorite flowers!â I smiled touching the blue orchids.
After my long and refreshing bath I turned on the t.v and surfed the channels. The door bell rang again. I opened the door and found the same guy with a box in his hands covering his face. âNow what?â I blinked. He placed the box in my hands and ran again. âExcuse me!â I shouted but heâs out of my sight. âWhatâs with him?â I stared at the box in my hand and opened it. Lots of chocolates, my favorite. I narrowed my eyes. âoh no! Iâm thinking too much!â I shake my head and try to ignore the warning my brainâs trying to give me.
After few minutes, the door bell rang again. This time Iâll immediately catch him I thought and opened the door and jumped out catching his hand, "Teresa?"
âOh dad?â
âyeah, whatâs wrong?â He asked me worriedly.
âNothing.â I smiled. I looked to the left then to the right before cautiously closing the door.
âDad someone moved in our neighborhood?â I asked him.
âI donât know but I did see moving trucks outside. Why?â He replied.
"No, nothing." I smiled.
The rest of the day went peacefully. The next morning, when dad and I returned from our morning walk there was another parcel on the door step. Before dad could see it I immediately picked it up and hid it. I went to my room and opened it, another box of chocolates. âwhatâs with this new neighbour?â I frowned.
The next morning I get a new parcel, this time it has a phone, a brand new iPhoneX. This guy is starting to get on my nerves now. I switched it on, âtingâ a message flashed in the notification. I opened the message which read âI donât have your number.â âtingâ another message, its an mms, i opened the file and saw my yesterdayâs picture when I was laughing on the roof top like an idiot, below it a new message which read â²I missed your smile, I missed you.â² My instincts were confirmed.
I called back on the number and shouted with all my might. âYou bloody stalker!!â
âOuch! you blow off my ears, Teresa.â He complained.
âIâll blow you off, you stalking jerk.â I shouted.
âThis method of stalking is way better, isnât it? I learnt it from my mother.â The jerk laughed.
âOh please, sheâs a cute stalker, you donât even know youâre being stalked, youâre not even near that!â I yelled.
âCome on wasnât I your cute Ma-kun? This place sure does brings back sweet memories. Come to your window.â
I opened my window and looked around his house, where is he? Suddenly bright light fell in my eyes, I looked at the source of the light and found him holding the mirror on his hand. As soon as our eyes met he waved at me.
âThe word is was. Now youâre just an evil Ryouma and didnât you say not to call you cute?â I narrowed my eyes at him.
âYou can call me anything you want. I love everything you call me, sounds like an endearment to me, my love.â I saw him grin.
âYuck, when did you become so cheesy?â I rolled my eyes.
âLove makes you desperate and trust me desperate man can do anything. I love you, Teresa.â He looked into my eyes and smiled which caught me off guard, this is the first time he said those words. His grin widened.
âAnd I hate you, Mr. ex-husband.â I immediately blurted out.
âCanât I get a chance?â
â....â
âplease!â âPlease, Teresa.â I hear him beg.
âWhy?â Tears pool my eyes blurring my vision.
âBecause we love each other. Please give this love a chance, please! I want you back, I need you back, I beg of you.â He plead.
âFine, one month. After that return home and do not bother me ever in my life.â saying this I immediately cut the call.
