Chapter 11
Mr.Billionaire Meets Ms.Clumsy
"Hello?" Emilyn answered; she balances the phone on her shoulder and lifts it to reach her ear. And also, while opening a bag of ballon.
"Em, it's me," Ana said
"What's up," Emilyn asked. She sounds a little worried.
"Finley has been acting weird since last week."
"Weird? What do you mean by weird." Emilyn asked, trying to pump the balloon with one hand.
"Weird as in paying too much attention to his phone and every time I asked he just say is nothing." She explains.
"Maybe he's just busy." Emilyn tried covering up the truth; she can't let this proposal go to waste. Finley and Emilyn have been planning this for two weeks, and She has already blown up 20 balloons.
"Even though he's busy, he'll tell me. But now, he's just acting weird."
"Don't worry about it; Fin will tell you as soon as possible. He can't keep something hidden from you."
"I guess so." She said, still unsure. "Somehow, he asked me out for dinner tonight."
"Isn't it great?" Emilyn told her.
"Yeah, but I can sense something." She said. "Oh no, do you think he's going to break up with me tonight. Maybe this will be the last dinner date we'll ever go to."
Emilyn mentally slaps her head, "Ana, calm down. He's not going to break up with you. He loves you too much to break up with you."
"You're right." She takes a deep breath.
"Now, go to that dinner and relax."
"Okay."
"If Finley did something to you, just call me; I'll be there in an instant," Emilyn told her before she ends the call. "Now, time to put it all together," She stood up, and piles of ballon surround her.
After decorating the place, Emilyn wrote a note to them and placed the gift she got for them on top of the note. Then, Emilyn receives a text from Finley saying that they are on the way home. She quickly places the remaining electric candles until they formed into a heart and left.
Emilyn text Finley saying that everything is ready, and he replies with an okay emoji.
Taking a cab back home with a smile, She squeals inside. She can't believe her two best friends are getting married.
Crossing her fingers, hoping that tonight will go well. The cab stopped at her apartment; she pays the money and heads up to her floor.
When she unlocked the door, her eyes froze on the scene in front of her. "Grandma?!" Emilyn quickly ran to her grandma side on the living room floor. "Grandma! Don't scare me!" She shouts. Emilyn hands begin to shake.
Tracing back her memory on the short course of first aid she learned in school. Her hands still shaking as she checks for her grandma pulse and let out a breath. Her heartbeat is still there but is faint.
"What should I do?" She panic. "Call, yes, call someone." She pulls out her phone. But who? She didn't want to disturb Ana and Finley. "911!". Emilyn shouted and dialled the number. Her hands tapping on her lap as she waits for the
"Hello 911, what's your emergency?" The person said.
"My...My...grandma, she fainted on the floor. There is a faint heartbeat." Emilyn told the officers with a wavier in her voice.
"Ms, I would like you to take a deep breath first." Emilyn listens to her and takes a deep breath. "Now, what happened?"
"I don't know. I just saw her on the floor when I came through the door."
"Okay, Ms., tell me your address, and we will send an ambulance immediately," Emilyn told her my address and waited patiently. Within 5 minutes, there's a knock on her door.
She quickly got up and answered the door, "Are you the one who called?" Two guys with a white uniform said.
"Yes, she's inside." Emilyn steps aside to let both of them in with a stretcher. They place grandma Lou on the stretcher, and she follows them out of the door and into the ambulance.
The ride to the hospital is nerve-wracking; they constantly had an oxygen pump right on her mouth to pump oxygen. The constant beeping of her heartbeat makes it even worse not long after they have arrived at the hospital.
They rushed her to one of the beds, "sorry, Ms, you have to wait outside." One of the nurses closes the curtain. Emilyn found a chair across the room and sat down with her head in her hands.
A notification sounded on her phone; Emilyn got out from her position and pulled out her found. She unlocks her phone and sees, Hey, what should I wear for the interview?" Christopher messages. Emilyn doesn't feel like answering the message and press the sleep button on her phone.
Fifteen minutes later, the curtain opens to reveal the doctor. "Are you Ms Lou Walker relative?" She asked, walking towards Emilyn. She nods her head. "We have stabilised her heartbeat; she's not in any danger right now. But once she wakes up, we got to have a full-body check-up."
"Thank you, doctor." Emilyn faced relaxed when she heard the good news. "May I see her now?"
"Yes, but we will have her transfer to a patient room soon." She said and walked away.
Emilyn stood at grandma Lou's side of the bed and saw her chest rising up and down at a steady speed. "Thank god, you are okay. I don't know what I'll do." She said softly, wiping the tears that have fallen on her cheek.
Later, the nurse told Emilyn that they have to transfer Grandma Lou to the patient room.
Emilyn steps out of the room and lets the nurses do their thing. The notification ring on her phone again, "Is it casual?" Christopher text again. Emilyn, ignore it for now.
She follows them as they push her grandma to a room that is shared with another patient. Once, the nurse left. Emilyn grabbed her grandma's hands and said, "Please wake up." She whispers; Emilyn leans down.
Grandma Lou's hand start to fidget, and Emilyn get it. She looks up to see grandma Lou's eyes slowly opened up.
"Grandma?" Emilyn called.
"W.a..ter." Grandma Lou said
Emilyn shot up from her seat and pour a cup of water for her. Emilyn put it up to her lips so that is easy for her to drink. "How are you doing? Are you feeling better now?" Emilyn asked in a worried tone. Grandma Lou nods. "What happened?"
"I was just going to the kitchen, and suddenly I felt a terrible pain in my upper abdomen. It hurts so bad." She winces, thinking about the pain. "How did I come here?" Grandma Lou look around the area.
"I walk in and saw you on the floor. I was so worried." Emilyn said with her eyebrows knitted together.
"Don't worry, my dear, it is probably nothing. I'll be better soon." She places her hands on Emilyn's hand.
"The doctor says she'll have to do a full-body check on you tomorrow. I'll ask her what time, then I'll take a day off or a half-day off if I have to."
"Don't worry about me. You don't have to take a day off. I'll be fine on my own."
"No, grandma. I got to be there for you."
"Okay." she gave in. "You should head home now. Get some rest; you have work tomorrow."
"No, I'm staying here tonight, and you have no say in this," Emilyn said sternly.
Grandma Lou chuckles, "Okay." Emilyn tucked her comfortably in the bed and sat down on the chair.
"Are you sure you're going to sleep here? Is uncomfortable." She asked.
"Don't worry about me, grandma, just rest." Emilyn gave her a small smile. She sat on the chair, keeping an eye on her grandma, before placing her head on the bed.

"Wake up." Emilyn heard a faint voice calling her. She lifts her head up and slowly adjusts her eyes to the brightness. "Emilyn, you got to wake up, or you are going to be late for work." Grandma Lou said.
"Morning," Emilyn said and stretched her body. "Oww!" She shouts and massages her back.
"See what I told you." Grandma Lou scolds her and shakes her head.
"I'll be fine, grandma; I'm young; it will heal really fast," Emilyn assure her.
"You know that you are going to be late if you don't leave now."
Emilyn checks her phone, "Oh, you're right. I am going to be late." Emilyn grabs her bag. "I'll see you later in the afternoon," Emilyn said her goodbye and left the room, but not after she checks with the doctor for Grandma Lou's checkup.

"Emilyn, you are late." Taylor scolds her as she enters the office 5 minutes late.
"I'm sorry." Emilyn apologize.
"I have no time to lecture you right now. We have a celebrity in our studio now, and you know how important for us to be punctual." She places her hands on her hips.
"I was going to give you an important task today, but since you were late, I'll have to punish you by getting drinks for us. Here are the orders." Taylor hands Emilyn the notepad and the money
"I'll get on it," Emilyn said; Taylor flips her hair and walks in the direction of the studio. Sometimes, Emilyn loves her supervisor. But, sometimes, she can be a b***.
"2 ice latte, 3 mango smoothies, 2 watermelon juice, and 1 hot latte." Emilyn read the order to the barista.
"That will be $34." Emilyn hands the money to the barista and asks her to wait for 15 minutes.
After, waiting for 15 minutes. She got the drinks. "Oh no!" Emilyn gasp; the cups cover are all open, all the content from the cup flowing onto the floor. But that's not the only thing she causes.
