Chapter 15

Mr.Billionaire Meets Ms.Clumsy

"Here you go, little guy." Emilyn places the dog back to where it belongs. "Now, you are free to go." She turns around because she heard a chuckle. "What?" Emilyn asked Christopher.

"Nothing." Christopher shakes his head and places his dog down.

"So, what are we doing now?" Emilyn asked.

"Aren't you going to ask me some questions?" He raised one of his eyebrows.

"Right," Emilyn said. "Is there any place we can sit and talk for a while?" He nods and leads her to a small area. It looked kind of cozy. There are a small coffee table and a two-sitter couch with a fluffy carpet right on the floor.

"Is this okay?" He asked. Emilyn nod and they took a seat on the couch.

"Okay, so first question. Why did you decide to do this charity work?"

"For starters, I always want a pet. But I was born unlucky to have a sibling who is allergic to dogs. So, I found this place and decide to volunteer."

"How old were you when you start with this volunteering?" Emilyn continues to ask.

"I was about 16 or 17."

"Next, why bother doing charities?"

"Because I can't keep earning money, but I've nowhere to spend on it. Therefore, charity is a perfect place." He said with a smile. "Plus, this isn't the only place I volunteer. I also volunteer at the Hope orphanage."

"Thanks for the extra details," Emilyn said. "You know, even if you didn't tell me, I'm still going to write it." Christopher just shrugged. "Okay, back to the questions," Emilyn said. "Since, you brought up the orphanage. How long have you been going there?"

"I think is about 3 years now."

"And why do you choose to be one of the sponsors of the orphanage?"

"About that, my parents have been supporting that orphanage for a long time. So I decide to continue supporting it." Christopher answer

"Okay, we are done with the questions for now," Emilyn told him.

"Great, shall we go and do some volunteering. Just so you know, I don't come here to slack." Christopher joked. Emilyn follows him to one of the dogs' areas. Christopher opens the cage to a lot of dogs jumping and running around.

"Hey, Kevin. I'm here. Let me take some off your hands." Christopher offered. That guy, Kevin, pass some dogs to him. "Here, take some." He passes Emilyn two leashes.

"What am I going to do with these?" Emilyn ask, looking at the leashes.

"You are going to walk them."

"Walk them?" Emilyn asked again.

"Yeah, did I mumble?" Christopher asked with an eyebrow raise.

"Sorry, I never did this before." Emilyn stares at the dogs that are staring back at her.

"No worries, if they go out of hand. I help you." Emilyn nod.

"Before we walk them, can I take some pictures with you and the dogs?"

"Sure." Emilyn passes him the leash of two of her dogs. After a few snapping a few shots of him and the dog, she said, "Perfect, can you let me put this camera safely somewhere."

"Yeah, just place it with Stacie." He told Emiyln. Emilyn makes a quick run out and hands Stacie the camera for safekeeping.

"I'm back," Emilyn announce, and Christopher hands her the leashes.

"So are we ready to go now? The dogs are getting agitated."

"Yeah, sure. But...." Emilyn stopped Christopher from walking. "How do I do this? You got to give me some instructions."

"Right, you just hold on tight and let them do the walking." Christopher told her.

"Okay, I got it. I think,"

"Don't worry, I got you." He gave Emilyn a small smile, and she returns it. "Come on." Emilyn pulls onto the leashes but fall forward towards Christopher and crash on top of him.

Emilyn's face is so close to his, her eyes stare back at his and his eyes on hers. She didn't dare to breathe or move a single muscle. Once again, Christopher ocean blue eyes capture her; she can also feel his hands holding onto her waist.

Emilyn closes her eyes and stops staring back at Christopher. She quickly stands up; as she pushes her body up, she fell back down. "Oof." Christopher sounded when Emilyn land on his chest.

"Sorry." Emilyn apologize. She turns her head to see over her shoulder; the leashes are caught on their legs.

"So, what are we going to do now." Emilyn ook at him sheepishly.

"You are going to fall to my right and we'll both lift our legs at the same time." Christopher told her, and Emilyn nod. She used all her strength to roll to Christopher's right. It took a few struggles, but she made it.

"Okay, when I count to three. Lift your legs slightly above the ground, then I'll untangle us." Christopher instructed. "one..two...three...." Once they lift their legs, Christopher lifts his back to reach the leash. He gave orders to the dogs to move. Emilyn watches as he smoothly commands the dogs to move.

Once the leashes got untangle, Christopher stood up first and gave Emilyn a hand after. "Thanks." Emilyn took his hand. "I'm sorry about all that."

"No worries," he replies. "So shall we take the dogs on a walk?" Emilyn nods, guiding both dogs out of the area; they know exactly where they are heading.

"Are we still playing 30 questions?" Emilyn asked while walking the dogs down the sidewalk.

"of course, the game doesn't end until 30 questions are complete and answer." Christopher said. "By the way, the questions you ask just now are included in the game."

"What? Why?" Emilyn turns her head to face him.

"Because you are asking questions and we are playing 30 questions."

"Seriously, but those are interview questions." Emilyn states.

"Yeah, but they also get to know me questions aren't they?"

"Yeah." Emilyn reluctantly nods her head. "Fine, now let me ask you a question." She glances at him briefly.

"Shoot."

"How come my grandma didn't tell me about you volunteering at the orphanage and why haven't I seen you before?"

"I'm not sure, but I think I have a little memory about your grandma talking about her having a granddaughter helping once in a while." Emilyn nod. "Is probably, when I came to help, you weren't there. But somehow, on that day, you are there." He smirks

Emilyn shakes her head, "Your turn."

"What's your favorite color?"

"Seriously." Emilyn chuckle.

"Just answer the question."

"Blue," Emilyn answer. "My turn, how many girlfriends do you have?"

"Why do you want to know?" Christopher leans closer towards Emilyn, and she pushes him away.

"Just answer the question." Emilyn told him.

Christopher chuckles before answering, "I've been into 4 relationships."

"4, that's a reasonable number." Emilyn watch as the dogs walk in front of her.

Next, How many have relationships have you been in?" Christopher asked.

"I...I've been into none." Emilyn said, focusing on the dogs.

"None?" He asked shockingly.

"Hey, why are you so shocked?" She turns to face him and frowns.

"Shouldn't I be? A girl as beautiful as you." Emilyn blush when he said that the word beautiful. "If I didn't ask, I would have assumed you are dating."

"Wow, such a great assumption." Emilyn rolled her eyes. "Anyways, next question. "Why would you invite me to lunch a few days ago?"

"Because I think you seem interesting and we've bumped into each other a few times. It is a perfect opportunity to know the girl who keeps spilling things on me." Christopher chuckles. We arrive back at the dog shelter after he asks his question.

Emilyn hands Christopher her dogs' leash, and he place the dogs back in their area, "Hey, want to get some lunch?" He asked after closing the door.

"Yeah, sure," Emilyn reply. They walk out to grab their things from the lockers and bid Stacie goodbye, then Christopher drives them to an Italian restaurant.

"Is Italian okay with you?" Christopher stops the car at the side of the road and turns to face Emilyn.

"I'm fine with it." Emilyn smiled at him.

"Cools, let's go." They got out of the car.

"This restaurant makes every pasta homemade." Christopher told her, and they walk into the restaurant.

"Good afternoon, welcome. May I sit you to your table?" The girl asked. Christopher nods, and they follow after the waitress.

"Here you go. I'll be back to get your order." She said with a smile and leave. Emilyn look around the place, and everyone is wearing a slightly formal outfit, while Emilyn is just wearing a t-shirt and jeans.

"Christopher, I feel a little undress." Emilyn leans forward and told him

"What do you mean?" Christopher places the menu down and looks at her.

"Look around." Christopher took a look around and said, "I don't see a problem. Look what I'm wearing." Emilyn looks to see his outfit. "I'm just wearing a sweater and jeans. You don't see them kicking me out." He states. "Calm down, we are paying customers."

Emilyn nod and pick up the menu. "Are you guys ready to order?" The waitress comes back again.

"I'll have the spaghetti bolognese." Christopher orders. "What do you want?" he asks Emilyn.

"I'll have the fettuccini alfredo."

"Great, would you like anything to drink?"

"Can I have water?" Emilyn reply. "Same." Christopher said.

"Great I'll be back with your orders."

After the waitress left, Christopher said, "Shall we continue with our game?" Emilyn nod.

"So who's turn is it?"Emilyn ask.

"I think is your turn."

"Alright, Why do you have a pen in your pocket when we first met?" Emilyn question

"Good question." He bobbed his head. "Just in case I have to sign some autographs."

"Why would anyone wants your autograph?" Emilyn raised her eyebrow.

"That's because I'm famous on the tracks." He smirks. The waitress place the glasses on the table.

"Okay, next." Emilyn said before taking a sip of water.

"Are you stay in the type of girl or going out type?"

"Easy, staying in. I would rather not leave my house for a week if I can." Emilyn answered. The food arrives before she can ask another question.

***

"Thanks for lunch, it was really good." Emilyn smile, remembering the taste of the pasta at the restaurant,

"No problem." Christopher returns the smile. "Also, I would want those pictures that I took."

"No, you can't it belongs to me. My camera, my pictures." Emilyn frown.

"No, my face, my pictures." Christopher said, "So, what do you say?"

"I'll think about it," Emilyn reply. "Thanks for lunch and the ride."

"Hey, I got something to ask you." Christopher brushes his hair out from his face and turns to face Emilyn.

"You know this counts as a question."

Christopher snickers, "I know. Would you want to accompany me to my brother's wedding next week?"

Emilyn scrunch my eyebrow, "Why are you asking me?"

"I'm sorry if I startled you." Christopher apologizes. "But, my mum is forcing me to bring a date. If I don't have one, she'll set me up with someone." He sigh.

"I'll have to think about it."

"Sure, but the wedding is next weekend. I don't want to rush you but is really urgent." Christopher told her

"Sure." Taking her seatbelt off.

"Wait, here." Christopher said, taking off his seat belt and open his door. Emilyn watch as he walked over his car hood to her side of the door. His action surprises her when he opens the car door for me.

"Thanks." Emilyn smiled at his action and got out of the car. Christopher walks her to the entrance of the apartment. "You don't have to walk me here." Emilyn said.

"I have to, is what a guy should do. Making sure the girl is safe at her house."

Emilyn smiled, "Thanks. I'll be fine here."

"You sure, I can walk you up to your apartment."

"No, is fine. Thanks for the lunch and ride again."

"No problem." He gave a Christopher Evans charming smile. Emilyn can't help but smile back. "Remember to think about my invite and also those pictures."

"Okay." Emilyn waved bye to him and head up to her apartment
