Chapter 20

Mr.Billionaire Meets Ms.Clumsy

"Wow, wow." A voice and a slow clapped sounded through the track. Both Emilyn and Christopher turns around to find out who is it. Emilyn stared at the entrance at the two figures in the dark trying to figure out who is it.

"How do you know I'm here?" Christopher sigh. Emilyn turns to Christopher, he knows who they are?

"It wasn't difficult, if you are not at home, your parents' house or the office, then you are here." Finally, the two figures appear in the light. It was Pierce and Jax. "What are you doing here? And also with her." Jax cocked his head in Emilyn's direction.

"I have an interview, so I pick this place." Christopher reply. Both of them nod with an amused face. "What?" Christopher asked.

"We were observing and were wondering why were you going so slow?" Pierce chuckled. Slow? Emilyn frowned. How is that slow,? she is about to fall out of her seat.

"Yeah, I thought you go faster than that," Jax said with a smirk on his face."I get it." Pierce snapped his fingers. "He's going slow for Emilyn." Jax exchanges knowing looks with Pierce and smirks, "So, Miss. Emilyn. How was it?" Pierce asked with an eyebrow raise with a grin.

Christopher stands in front of Emilyn, blocking her view from them. Emilyn peaks her head out to the side to answer but was interrupt by Christopher. "Stop bothering her, what are you guys doing here?"

"We have nothing to do, so we want to hang with you," Pierce replies. "So, what are guys doing next?"

"Christopher, how about a race? I'm sure Emilyn has never seen it before?" Jax said.

"Uhmm...I did." Emilyn steps to the side.

"You did?" Jax asked, tilting his head to the side. "When? Where?"

"I came to one of the races here a month ago," Emilyn told them.

"Really?" I never see you as the type who comes to this game. You look like the one who will stay at home and watch reruns all day." Jax said. Emilyn eyes grew wide, is she that easy to see through?

"Enough questions, are you guys here to race or not," Christopher raises his voice and his face tighten.

"Chill, we are getting to know her." Jax pat Christopher on the shoulder. "Let's do this thing," Jax shouted and head to one of those closed garage doors with Pierce.

Christopher turns to face Emilyn "I'm sorry about them, I didn't know that they will be here." He apologizes.

"No, is fine." Emilyn gave him a small smile. "Your friends bring out a lively atmosphere"

Christopher tilts his head to the side and scrunches his eyebrow, "Are you saying that I bore you?"

"No, No." Emilyn stammered. "I didn't mean it like that, I mean that..."

He chuckles, "I'm teasing you." Emilyn places her hand on her hips and glare at him. "Sorry." Christopher pout and places both hands on her shoulder.

Emilyn gave him a smile to tell him that she's not mad at him. The end of the lips tug into a smile when he saw her smile, "Go and get a seat up there, you'll get a better view." Emilyn nod and head to the bleachers.

Christopher watches as Emilyn walked towards the stand. He looks in the distance and saw his two friends watching him. He jogs over to them and asked, "What?"

"You like her, don't you," Pierce asked.

"Mind your own business," Christopher told him.

"Come on, Christopher.  It had been so long since we see you look at a girl like that." Jax said. "The way you look at her, I've never seen it before in your other relationship."

"Yeah, I do like her. But she doesn't reciprocate the feelings." Christopher told them.

"How do you know? Have you asked her? Does she like someone else?" Jax questions.

"I'm not so sure, but I know she is single."

"If she is single, why don't you grab the opportunity.  Ask her out before someone else comes and sweep her off her feet," Jax said. "If that happens, is going to be harder." He warned.

"Remember the wedding," Christopher asked them and they nod. "I sort of lie to her for her to  come with me." Pierce and Jax looked at him confused. "I told her that I have someone that I like but was afraid to ask."

"What?" Pierce asked. "I'm confused, isn't she the girl you want to bring? Why did you lie?"

"Because I can't tell her the truth, now she thinks I like someone else, not her," Christopher sigh. "And she said, that she will help me get that girl."

"Damn." Jax shakes his head. "Christopher you got friend zone." They both laugh, clutching each other for support.

"Can you guys be serious?" Christopher glared at them. "How am I going to tell her that she is that girl?"

"Easy,  tell her you like her," Pierce said, gasping for air and cough.

"Easy for you to say, Mr I'm not into a serious relationship." Christopher mocked him. "You just do and dump."

"Hey! who says that easy." Pierce narrowed his eyes at Christopher.

"Both of you stop this, we are going to race for Emilyn. We will talk about this later." Jax said. They both nod and got into our cars.

***

At the seats, Emilyn chooses the seat closest to the race track. so she can get a close picture. It was the hardest picture she has to take because the car is speeding through the track. The cars finally stop after 3 rounds around the track with Christopher leading.

Emilyn took out her phone and called Christopher, "Hey, can you three post a picture in front of the car?"

"Sure." He ends the call. She saw him talking to the guys and they both nod. Three of them lean against Christopher's car, he then puts his thumbs out to show that they are ready. Emilyn took a couple of shots and give them a thumbs up telling them she got it. She takes one step at a time, watching each stair as she walks down. She did trip twice while walking up the stairs earlier.

"Emilyn, how did we do?" Pierce asked

"Not bad, you guys are professional," Emilyn smiles and give them a thumb up.

"The perks of ranking No. 2 hottest bachelors." Pierce flexes his muscle and Emilyn chuckle.

"Enough." Christopher stops Pierce from flexing his muscle. "I got to send Emilyn back now."

"Oh," Pierce whined. "So early, can't she stay for a little while."

"No," Christopher crossed his arms and narrow his eyes

"Let them go, Pierce." Jax winked at Pierce. Emilyn scrunched her eyebrows seeing Jax winked at Pierce. What are they winking about?

"Let's go now?" Christopher asked.

"Yeah, sure," Emilyn reply. "Nice meeting both of you again."

"If you're bored come find us, I know sometimes Christopher might be a bit boring," Pierce said. Christopher shoots daggers at him.

"I will. Thanks for the offer." Emilyn reply. "Come on, Christopher." She tugs on his arm. Christopher finally budges and wave bye to both of them.

"Did you had fun?" Christopher asked as they walk through the hallway they came from earlier.

"Yeah, I got to thank you for choosing this area."

"If you want to come back here again, you can tell me. I won't mind bringing you here again." He told me and Emilyn nod.

On the road back home, Emilyn realizes that they are not on the right road. "Christopher, I don't think we are on the right route," She told him, looking out of the window.

"I want to show you something."

"What is it?" Emilyn asked.

"You'll see once we get there," Christopher said with a grin on his face."It isn't where are you going to get rid of my body right?" Emilyn asked curiously, pressing her back on the car seat.

"No." Christopher chuckles. "What's wrong with you thinking I'm going to kill you?" Emilyn shrugs her shoulder. "Don't worry, I'm not going to kill you. Relax, I promise is worth it."

Emilyn nods her head, looking out the window and seeing the buildings and lights drive past. Soon there aren't any more buildings, there are trees. Emilyn continues to watch as the trees passing by and slowly dozed off to sleep.

When Emilyn woke up, she opens her eyes to a cliff, "Where are we?" Emilyn turns in her seat to ask Christopher who is typing on his phone.

"We are at the cliff and you woke up just on time." Emilyn scrunches her eyebrows and looks at him confused. "Come on, let's go." He opens his door and Emilyn follows his action.

"What are we doing here?" Emilyn asked joining him in front of the car."Shh, look." He pointed towards the sky and the sun begins to set. Emilyn lips part and her eyes widen. The sky is a little pinkish, orange, and a little yellow. "Have you ever watch the sunset before?"

"No, this is my first time. Is beautiful." Emilyn reply. "So this is what you want to show me?" She turns to look at Christopher.

"Yeah, beautiful isn't it," Christopher said while looking at Emilyn."Is definitely something." Emilyn turns to face the sky. "Do you come here often?" She asked.

"Sometimes, when I need to take a breather." He said, "Owning a company and always have to attend those high societies parties are tiring. Especially, with the media always keeping tabs on you." He sigh.

"If you pay me to switch lives with you, I won't do it ever," Emilyn said with a chuckle. She turns her head and saw a small smile on Christopher's face as he watches the sunset.

"We should go now." He turns to look at Emilyn.  She nods and heads towards the passenger seat. Once, Christopher got in the driver's seat, he turns on the engine. But the engine starts making some weird sound which doesn't sound right.

"What's going on?" Emilyn asked

"I'm not sure, the car's engine is not starting?" Christopher said and turn the key again in the ignition, but is not working. "Let me check the engine." He got out of the car and pop the hood up. Emilyn sat on the seat biting her lips and twiddling her thumbs.

"So, what's wrong?" Emilyn sit right up and asked, Christopher, got into the car.

"We need a jump start. The battery is dead." He said

"So, what are we going to do? Did you call anyone?"

"Yeah, I've called the toll truck," he replies. "But...." he stops and looks at Emilyn

"But, what?" She asked.

"The toll truck company can't make it today, there's no one at work now. So, we got to wait until tomorrow."

"Tomorrow?" Emilyn shouted. "We can call an Uber or something."

"I've tried, no car service available in this area."

"You got to be kidding me?" Emilyn huff and crossed her arms. "Just my luck, so what are we going to do now?"

"We are going to stay overnight in the car."

"Are you serious?" Emilyn eyes grew wide. "What if I got hungry or I have to go to the toilet?"

"I have some food, I picked it up when you were sleeping." He took the bag from the backseat and place it on her lap. "About the toilet issue, you can always do your business in the bushes around." He pointed to the grass surrounding us.

"Urghh...." Emilyn groaned. "Why does this have to happen to me?"

"Come on is not that bad," Christopher said. "Here eat something, you must be starving." He digs through the plastic on Emilyn's lap and pulls out a piece of bread.

"Thanks." Emilyn took the bread from him not amused about the situation at all.

"Do you want to play our game? It will help to pass time." He suggests."Why not? Is not like we are going anywhere at all." Emilyn reply. "So who's turn is it now?" She takes a bite from the bread
