Chapter 32
Mr.Billionaire Meets Ms.Clumsy
"Grandma." Emilyn yawns and stretches her arms in the air, dragging her feet on the floor; walking into the living room.
"Got a good nap." Grandma Lou asked, sitting in the living room reading a magazine.
"Yeah, those kids have drained all of my energy." Emilyn sat down on the couch next to her. "What are we eating tonight?" She asked.
"Sloppy Joe with less sodium obviously." Grandma Lou said. "I've already got the meat simmering now, it should be ready soon." All of a sudden the doorbell rang.
"I'll get it." Emilyn got up from the couch. Opening the door, to someone who she hasn't seen for two weeks.
"Hi." He said, Emilyn immediately slam the door on him.
"Who was it?" Grandma Lou asked.
"Just nobody."
"How could there be no one there?" Grandma Lou asked. Then, why would they ring our doorbell."
"Is just no one, don't open the door," Emilyn told her.
Meanwhile, at the other side of the door. Christopher just witnesses a door slam right in front of him. He was shocked at how Emilyn reacted. He rings the bell once more and hopes that she doesn't slam the door in his face again.
"Christopher?" Grandma Lou opens the door. "Do you want to come in?" She asked.
"Yeah, I would love to," Christopher said and step into the house.
"So, what can I do for you today?" Grandma Lou asked.
"Uhmm...I actually came here to talk to Emilyn. I haven't seen her for 2 weeks."
"Right, She really seems upset this past two weeks." Grandma Lou told him.
"Can I talk to her?" Christopher asked.
"Of course." Grandma Lou nods. "Where did she go?" She turns around facing the couch. "She was here before I open the door." She frowns. "I think she went to her room, come on." Grandma Lou leads Christopher to Emilyn's room. "Emilyn." Grandma Lou knocks on the door and slightly opens the door. "Christopher is here."
"I don't want him here, I told you not to open the door," Emilyn said, facing the wall of her room.
"Just talk to her." Grandma Lou said softly and back away from the room, leaving Christopher standing in front of Emilyn's slightly open door.
"I'm coming in," Christopher announce as he pushes the door a little more.
"Go away!" Emilyn throws a pillow at Christopher.
Christopher caught the pillow before it can hit him and asked, "What's wrong?" He walks slowly towards her.
Emilyn turns her head in Christopher's direction and said, "You became MIA for two weeks, leaving me a simple text message not explaining why, and now you want to grace me with your presence?" She frowns. "You tell me if I'm not upset." Emilyn crosses her arms.
"I'm sorry but I have a reason to explain what happen." Christopher walks closer to Emilyn and crouches down in front of her bed. "Just listen to me, I'll explain everything to you." He looks up at her, but Emilyn looks the other way.
"Okay, explain to me," Emilyn said in a soft tone, still facing the wall.
"The reason I've been MIA is that someone has stolen information from my company and stolen some money. They hacked into my company's computers, so that's why I have to be incognito for a while. The security team gave me 10 minutes to inform my family and including you." Christopher explain.
"Oh, that's the reason for the tight security at the entrance of your company." Emilyn turns her head to face Christopher.
"Exactly, so are you still upset with me?" Christopher asked, taking her hands in his. "Do you still want to throw pillows at me?" Christopher asked cautiously. Emilyn shook her head no and he let out a breath of relief.
"You know that I quit my part-time job." Emilyn voice out softly.
"That's good." Christopher nod. "Now, you can come work for me."
"And I also got important news to tell you last week." Emilyn pouts. "I really want to tell you immediately but you didn't pick up your phone."
"How come you didn't tell Pierce? I told him to be the messenger."
"Because I want to tell it to you." Emilyn pout. "Face to face."
"Okay, you can tell it to me now," Christopher said.
"I've received news from the hospital that they have a matching liver donor for my grandma," Emilyn said excitedly.
"Really? That's awesome." Christopher smiles, standing up from his crouching position.
"If you did pick up your phone, you will know it and can have a feast with us." Emilyn pouts.
"I'm sorry, I'm not there for you." Christopher brushes Emilyn's hair away from her face.
"That's okay, you have something important to handle."
"Thank you for being so understanding." Christopher pats her head. "Did you miss me?"
"Yeah, a lot." Emilyn nods. "Will this always happen?" She asked with her big doe eyes staring at Christopher
"I don't know." Christopher shakes his head and sigh. "I want to tell you this, I have a lot of enemies around, people who want to take my company or destroy me."
"Why?"
"That's what you get for being successful. Everyone wants to be the top, but I won't let anyone take that away from me." Christopher told her. "You know why?"
"Because you are competitive and selfish,"Â Emilyn answered.
Christopher snorts, "Wow, is this how you see me as a person?"
"No, I think you are the most caring and thoughtful person I know."
"Thanks, Angel." Christopher smile. "But only to you and my family.
"Why do you call me that?" Emilyn asked with her eyebrow raised.
"Call you Angel?" Christopher asked and Emilyn nods. "That's because you are as innocent, beautiful, and delicate as an angel." Emilyn blushes. Christopher smiles, he loves seeing her blush, she just looks so adorable.
"Come here I need a hug." Christopher opens his arms for her. Emilyn snuggles right into his chest. "I miss you so much." He kisses her forehead. Breaking the hug, Christopher kisses her eyes, then proceeded to her nose, then her cheeks, and finally, his eyes landed on her lips.
"Christopher why did you kiss me everywhere." Emilyn giggles.
"Because I miss you so so much," Christopher said, his eyes are still on her lips. Leaning forward and bending slightly, tilting his head a little to the side, and finally landed on her small, soft, pouty lips. He pulls her waist so that Christopher could be closer to her and the other on her cheek.
Emilyn moves her lips in sync with Christopher. Her lips fit perfectly on Christopher's like a puzzle piece. Emilyn then places her hands comfortably on his chest.
Christopher couldn't get enough of her, he deepened the kiss. Gently, push her back on the bed without her knowing. He continues to kiss her with so much passion.
"Christopher." Emilyn breaks the kiss breathlessly, by placing her hands on his chest.
"Yes?" Christopher leans his forehead against hers.
"I-i-i." Emilyn stumbles at her words.
"Did I push it too far?" He asked and Emilyn nods. "I'm sorry my angel," Christopher tug her hair behind her ear. "You are just so breathtaking, I can't get enough of you," He whispers in her ear.
"Christopher." Emilyn groans and hit his chest. "Get up."
"I don't think so, I think I like how we are now." Christopher teases her. Emilyn's cheeks redden in embarrassment.
"Christopher." She groans once more.
"Make me." Christopher stares right into her eyes. Emilyn rolled her eyes at Christopher and tried to push him up, but Christopher hover over her with his arms placing firmly on the bed at the side of her
Emilyn turns her head to look away from Christopher. "I'll let you go if you give me a kiss," Christopher told her. Emilyn slowly turns her head back.
"Just one kiss?" Emilyn asked.
"Yup, Just one," Christopher smirk. Emilyn leans up and pecks on his lips before she can escape; Christopher quickly holds her up and deepened the kiss.
"Christopher." Emilyn pulls away. "You said just one kiss." She frowns.
"Okay, okay." Christopher got off of her bed. "Happy now?"
"Yes, very." Emilyn sits up on her bed. Then, her stomachs make a very loud growl.
"Come on let's go." Christopher pulls her up and laces their hands together. He brought her to the kitchen to fill up her hungry belly.

"Why did you send me a message when I'm sitting right next to you?" Emilyn showed him her phone.
"Open it," Christopher said. Emilyn eyes him curiously and opens the message.
"A ticket to your race this weekend?" Emilyn said. "Tomorrow?"
"Yeah."
"But I thought I have to start working for you tomorrow ?" Emilyn raises an eyebrow.
"Consider that as your job, being supportive and watching me race. How's that for a job?" Christopher grins.
"Christopher, you know I can't get paid by having fun. Is not right." Emilyn frown.
"Come on, just do it for me please." Christopher takes one of her hands in his. "You are like my good luck charm, when you are there I race so much better."
"You really want me to be there?" Emilyn asked.
Christopher nods vigorously. Emilyn looks back at the ticket and back at him, contemplating if she should go. "Okay, I'll go." Emilyn reply.
"Really?" Christopher eyes lit up and sit straighter in his seat.
"Yeah, why not." Emilyn shrug.
"Thank you." He plants a soft kiss on her hand.
"Is this the huge race that I last went?" Emilyn asked.
"No" Christopher shakes his head. "This is just a small race for fun, the other race is another time abroad."
"Oh." Emilyn nod.
"Just so you know that is not a normal ticket," Christopher said.
"What do you mean?" Emilyn asked looking at the ticket closely. "Hey, there's no sitting area or number in this ticket." She zooms in on the ticket on her phone
"That's right because you got the VIP ticket." Christopher pointed it out. "You are going to watch it in my waiting area for friends and family. On that day, Pierce or Jax will come and get you." He said. "Do you have their numbers?"
"Yeah, Pierce gave me his that time he picks me up."
"Does your friends want to come too? If that makes you more comfortable."
"No, they are out of town this weekend. Going somewhere for their pre-wedding trip." Emilyn told him.
"You haven't told them about us yet?" He asked
No, not yet." Emilyn sigh. "I don't know how should I tell them. I'm just worried that they might freak out or shout at me or something."
"Well, if you don't tell them sooner they will freak out even more."
"I know." She sighs and leans her head on the car window. Looking at the time on her phone, realizing is getting late "I have to go now." Emilyn told him.
"Let me walk you up," Christopher suggested
"That's okay, remember what happen last time?" Emilyn said. He chuckles and scratches the nape of his neck. "That's the reason why we are talking in here."
"Yeah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean for someone to find out." Christopher said. "I didn't even know they can recognize me through the disguise."
Emilyn laugh, "you know that you are not really wearing a disguise right? Is just a hat and a mask. And you didn't even wear a mask that time." She shakes her head.
"That's because I forgot, and I kept my head real low that time." Christopher tries to defend himself.
"That's okay, I don't mind sitting in the car and talking to you." Emilyn smiled at him.
"But I do." He pouts. "Because I can never walk you to your house ever again."
"Christopher we already agree if someone eventually notices you, you can't show your face around me or people will notice and then they will tell the reporters."
"I know." Christopher huff.
"Good." Emilyn pats his head. "I'll see you tomorrow." Kissing him on the cheek, before leaving the car.
"Text me when you reach home."
"I will don't worry too much." Emilyn opens the car door and said one last goodbye and walk up the steps of the apartment building.

The next day
Emilyn follows the instruction that Christopher told her yesterday. She shows her ticket and waits at the side of the hall where there are fewer people.
"Hey!" Pierce came running towards her. "Did you wait long?"
"No, I just got here." She smiles.
"Come on, let's go. Christopher kept bugging me to pick you up. He's really annoying." Emilyn chuckle. "So how did it go with Christopher when he finally shows up at your door?"
"I slam the door on him," Emilyn told him as they walk.
"You did?" Pierce incredulously gasp.
"Yeah, why? You seem so surprised."
"Because no one slams the door on Christopher Evans. Is the other way around, honey." Pierce said.
"Is it a bad thing?" Emilyn scrunches her eyebrow, facing Pierce.
"I can't say is a bad thing, but was he angry went he came in?"
"Uhm...no." Emilyn shakes her head.
"Then, don't worry you are fine." He said. "He has a soft spot for you, you will be fine." Finally, they made it into the waiting room. A blonde hair guy is sitting on one of the chairs, "We are here." Pierce announce.
"Hi," the blonde guy turn around. "You remember me right?" He asked.
"Of course, you are Jax Collins." Emilyn nod.
"Bingo." He snaps his fingers. "So, are you guys really dating or pretending?"
"Dude, why would you ask that?" Pierce slap Jax's chest.
"What?! I'm curious. The last time they were pretending, who knows if Christopher fake it again." Jax said. "So are you guys real or not?"
"We are real." A low, deep voice that Emilyn recognizes, "What are you guys doing, trying to dig some dirt on her?" Christopher came over and wrap her waist tightly and pull her closer to him.
"No, just making sure you are not fooling us again," Jax said.
"No, we are not fooling you guys at all, we are really dating but not in the publics' eye," Christopher told them.
"Oh, trying to be mysterious I see." Jax smirk.
"Why don't you go and prepare for the race?"
"Yeah, whatever." Jax rolled his eyes and left the room with Pierce, leaving both of them alone.
"Did you get in here easy? Did anyone bother you? Did you get into trouble?" Christopher asked turning Emilyn around to face him, but his hands never left her waist.
"No, they just let me in when they saw the ticket," Emilyn told him.
"Are you sure? He asked, frowning.
"Yes, absolutely sure." Emilyn smiled at him. "Don't worry too much, I'm a big girl. I can handle anything that comes my way."
"Okay." Christopher relax. "Let me show you around. Is small but comfortable. The tv is right here." He pointed at the huge flat screen. "There's two doors, the one where you came in and the one where it leads to the race track."
The room also has a bathroom plus a shower. And the best part, is a room with a double-decker bed, "Woah," Emilyn step into the room. "This is amazing, it is almost the same size as my bedroom but bigger. Christopher chuckle, "why do you have a room here?" She asked.
"Because sometimes we might be tired before or after the race and we don't want to drive back, so the guys can sleep here."
"Oh." Emilyn bobbed her head and walk out of the room.
"So, that's the end of the tour. What do you think?"
"Is nice, it almost like the size of my apartment," Emilyn told him.
"Hey, are you two done with whatever you guys are doing." Jax and Pierce barge in the room with their suits. "The race is about to start," Pierce said.
"Alright, I'll be out in a minute," Christopher told them and they close the door. "Okay, I have to go now." He put both hands on her shoulder. "Are you going to be okay?"
"I'll be fine. I'll just cheer you on in here." Emilyn smiled.
"Alright then, I'll leave now," Christopher told her. "Can I get a good luck kiss?" He pouts.
Emilyn smiles and kisses him on the lips, "good luck. Race well and be safe."
"I will." Christopher gave her one more kiss and left the room. Emilyn got seated on the couch and turn on the tv. The room was too quiet, being the only person there.
Emilyn watches as they go multiple rounds around the track. Finally, is up to the last round. She watches closely, her butt at the end of the couch. The winner is between Jax and Christopher, both of them are so close.
"And the winner is Christopher Evans the all-time champion." The announcer shouted and the crowd go wild. "Alright, that's all folks. Today's champion goes to Christopher Evans see you next time on the race track." The announcer signs off, leaving the camera playing the shot of Christopher crossing the finish line over again and a shot of the racers coming out from their cars.
Emilyn spotted Christopher coming out from his car, looking all handsome like coming out from a movie. He steps out of the car and a bunch of reporters surround him.
"Christopher Evans, congratulation on your race? Do you think you are going to win the annual race competition?" One of the reporters asked.
"Thank you," he smiles charmingly. "It would be nice if someone else wins this time. It shouldn't always be me. But then I would prefer winning it." He chuckles.
"Are you dating anyone?" One of the reporters asked, "Seriously, why do they have to ask every single time." Emilyn thought.
"No, but I already have someone in mind." He smirks at the camera, Emilyn heart flutters and her cheek reddens.
"Tell us more about this girl?"
"I'm sorry, I've already said too much." Christopher pushes the question back.
"Woooo!!!" The door opens with a loud shout. "I can't believe it you almost got him," Pierce said as he put his hands over Jax's shoulder. Emilyn attention is towards the open door and a loud shout.
"Hey guys, good race," Emilyn said, standing up.
"Right, Jax almost beat Christopher."
"Did you enjoy the show?" Jax asked.
"Yeah, I like it in here more than outside. Is too loud there with people screaming their heads off for you guys." Emilyn let out a small laugh.
"That's what you get when you are charming, rich and good looking." Pierce push his hair back with his hands.
"Wow, how conceited you are." Jax shakes his head. Then his phone rang, "I'm going to take this." He walks to the other side of the room.
"I'm going to head to the showers." Emilyn nod, sitting down on the couch again and take out her phone. Ana had sent her a message. She clicks into it, there is a picture with her and Finley at the beach. Emilyn smile at the picture.
"Hey, What are you going to do later?" Pierce asked, Emilyn turn around and saw Pierce wearing a towel only with his back facing her.
"Uhmm..." Emilyn turns back around. "I don't know."
"You want to join us for a celebratory drink? We do that all the time after a race."
"I guess, I need to ask Christopher first."
"Ask Christopher what?" He walks into the room. "What the hell, bro!" Christopher shouted. "Why are you just wearing a towel? And in front of Emilyn."
"Why can't I? She didn't say anything." Pierce said. "You are fine with it right?" He asked Emilyn, coming over to stand next to Christopher. She avoided eye contact with either of them. "See, she's fine."
"No, she isn't, you doofus." Christopher smacks his head. "Go get a change of clothes." Christopher pushes Pierce away. "Sometimes I question why am I friends with them." He pinches the bridge of his nose. "Did you enjoy the race?" He took a seat next to Emilyn.
"Yeah." She nod. "You did great."
"Hey, Chris is your turn to use the bathroom now," Jax told him.
"Alright," he shouted back. "I'll be right back, then I'll drive you back."
"Uhm...Pierce mention about a celebratory drink?"
"What about it?" He asked.
"He asks if I want to come with," Emilyn told him
Christopher kept quiet and just stare blankly, "I'm going to shower first, will see first." He heads into the shower.
Christopher finally came back, so what's next to their relationship. Note that Emilyn is new to this relationship thing, so don't expect so much from her.
And I'm trying to make this story like how a normal couple fell in love. Will see how it goes, throughout the story. Maybe I'll spice things out, who knows. "Shrug"
