Natalia hurriedly called Ashton and within seconds he picked it up. "I see you've got the surprise" he said in a calm tone while Natalia grew furious on him

"Dare not shout on him in middle of the class. He has a reputation" Xavier said in a low voice audible only to her

She gulped her anger and cancelled the call. The whole day Xavier was with her like a shadow. All the teachers introduced her to the class and made sure the billionaire's wife was comfortable. Some knew about Natalia being Ashton David Cross wife while some thought she might be ordinary student while no one knew who Xavier Wilson except for the principal. He was just another student in the school.

Natalia entered the house and banged the door closed. She saw him sitting on the couch with laptop in lap and files scrambled around the floor and table. Ashton looked at her and smiled, while she made a bad face and like a thunder stormed into the bedroom.

Ashton looked at her in confusion, he followed her to the bedroom but before he could enter the voice stopped him "Leave me alone!!" she shouted

"You sure Nate!! Baby we can talk" he tried to cocooned her but in vain

"I don't want to talk" she shouted throwing the vase kept on the side table.

Outside Ashton sighed in frustration and left her alone. He ordered the servant to make sure she has dinner on time. Cleared all the mess he created not before texting a message to Xavier to meet him and left the house, not wanting to fight.

"What did you do know??" Ashton wasn't in a mood of bargaining so he straightway asked Xavier in a death tone

"I didn't do anything. I'm such a nice person. I don't know why does your wife doesn't like me" being the ever nice guy he is, Xavier tried to cool the conversation

But Ashton had lost his cool "Cause you blamed her for being responsible for Nicholas death" Ashton banged his fist on the bar table

"I was just interrogating" he argued. It was his job he wasn't blaming

Being the lover boy he is, he supported his wife "that's a sensitive topic for her"

"Still she can be behind his death" Xavier said and dared to look into his eyes

"She can't!! Have you gone nuts, the women loved my best friend they were going to get married" Ashton shouted on top of his lungs. As much as it pained him to say all these, he knew they loved each other. And Natalia can never be behind his best friend's death. Never

After few minutes of silence when the atmosphere was cooled; Xavier has to pin point something, surely the guy doesn't know how to shut the fuck up.

"I don't understand why is she showing you tantrums when she hates you" that ping Ashton's heart but keeping his feels at bay he replied.

"Hey don't say that. She doesn't hates me anymore. And let her show tantrums it's better than her tears and I like the feisty Natalia" Xavier rolled his eyes when he saw the dreamy look on his friend's face while saying it

"Such a weird taste" he teased and Ashton smacked his head.

"Shut it.. Did u apologize to her??" Ashton asked

"Why should I??" Xavier was persist for not Apologizing for thing he hasn't done. Police man really dare inapplicable things a lot.

"Reason: I asked you too" Xavier has the nerve to test too much of his patience. Ashton was just keeping his calm he didn't wanted to ruin his years old friendship with Xavier because of his anger.

"Hey she is your wife, you dance on her fingers not me" and the reply was blunt

"Shut it Xavier!! Tomorrow apologize to her and mend things between you two" the command was clear Xavier Wilson had no other option left

"Just for you I'm gonna apologize to her"

"Good..!! Any clue regarding case"

"I don't have any. What information Natalia gave, my team is working on it, but still no progress"

Ashton came back home and found the house in a hustle. Natalia was sitting on the sofa eyeing the attached kitchen in grave anger. When Ashton stood in between the view of her and kitchen she instantly rushed to him.

"what is all this??" Natalia shouted pointing towards the kitchen

"Kitchen....." he said making a bad face "but baby it's completely trashed....!!! How??" he asked

"I was cooking food for you..." she couldn't complete Ashton interrupted her

"for me???" the words came out of his mouth didn't felt real for a while but when Natalia nodded her head it felt real. The heart inside his chest just want to come out in happiness and hug her tightly

"then why is it trashed??" he asked in confusion

"I don't know who that mad man or woman is, that person claimed it's his kitchen and she won't let me touch it. Our fight led the kitchen being trashed" Natalia explained her whole story while glaring at the kitchen

Ashton entered the kitchen and saw Lotus the head chef and cook of his house inside the kitchen sulking over the trash. Lotus was very feminine for any female. His parents thought their son would be a singer but it turned out a girl. Being a male he preferred being women and loved to live his life as a woman.

He had met Austin during his master chef days and worked in his hotel for a few months. Later when Ashton needed a cook for his house Lotus was transferred to Ashton's house. Lotus was on a vacation unaware of the things happened in the house and he hated if someone even entered his kitchen.

When his eyes met Ashton's he instantly rushed to him and complained about a cunning lady who trashed his kitchen.

"Lotus listen to me......!!!!" Ashton tried to say something but Lotus cut him in between

"that lady ruined my kitchen" he wailed loudly in his ever so feminine voice and it irritated the hell out of Ashton. Natalia entered the kitchen and step in middle of Lotus and Ashton

"stay away you flower" she roared like a lionesses but Lotus was no less

"it's Lotus you cunning bozo bee" he too shouted "Get out" Lotus screamed and Natalia just lost her calm

"this is my husband's house you get lost" she yelled angrily and it shocked both Ashton and Lotus.

Lotus mouth hung open hearing that Ashton married such a cunning women. He from inside pitied Ashton while Ashton was on cloud nine. Natalia addressed him as her husband. She was getting used to him. The hope was growing, one day she will be his. He just needs to have faith.

A week later!!

Natalia was getting used to the interrogation. Xavier and she shared the whole time in college together. While at first she didn't wanted to look at his face but then he made her understand. It's his duty to question everyone related to Nicholas. He wasn't accusing her infact he was just asking valid questions.

Even she wanted Nicholas killers do get behind bars as soon as possible and for that she willing accepted to help through the interrogation process. During the period of a week Natalia and Xavier had come to the terms of being friends at least.

This Monday morning Natalia didn't wanted to go to college. All she wanted to do was sit in her room and read some novels. Going through the book shelve she found Ashton had all business related books and economy books. She thought of making lunch for both of us but since Lotus had entered the kitchen Natalia and he crib like kids.

Although she doesn't like Lotus being all possessive on her husband's house kitchen, she couldn't deny Lotus did cooked delicious. Words couldn't express the way his food tastes. The very first time when she tasted his food she couldn't stop her moan nor stop herself from eating more even after watching Lotus giving a win win smirk.

Still Lotus is just a chef but she is His wife...

Natalia called Ashton but he wasn't picking up her call being annoyed she thought of visiting him to his office and have lunch to a nearby fancy restaurant. She quickly changed herself into a elegant red and black dress. She wanted to surprise him let's see what happens!!
